Kids Indoor Playground at Lotus near Bukit Indah

Can't remember this name of the shop, but its the kids Indoor Playground at Lotus near Bukit Indah since i am staying nearby the central area of Bukit Indah. Just walk over to get some groceries, but found out many good and shops. But what is more interesting is the lack of crowd. Really have a good time to chill and this indoor playground is affordable, so i let my daughter play together with both of us parents to enter. So total is around RM23 so for about 1 hour or 2 hours of fun time. She very much enjoy it and i find it quite safe. This place isn't like KSL or Mid Valley that is crowded and is typically most locals will come here to shop for groceries. So its a good place.

No Language Barrier and Problem Solving in this game [WhiteOut Survival]

Just a quick update that I'm also utilizing my gems resources into Lucky Wheel to gain points for Hall of Chiefs to give it a try to get the great hero, Jeronimo. But i think it is hard, but trying my best for this event now. Love this game as we have many countries playing together and in my alliance itself. We are able to communicate game politics, strategy and leisure topics in this game without much language barrier. Think currently will be competitive in this game moving forward. Still trying to maintain one of the highest power level, but felt that whale still have an edge to it.

New Hero Zoe Released ! [KingShot]

Finally a high tier hero is released for KingShot and I pumped in my 2 weeks worth of Gems on maximizing as much shards as possible for this hero. Concurrently with Hall of Governors, I am gathering massive points in order to try my luck into getting another crazy tier hero, Amadeus. But deep down, i know its impossible because of how many whales in this game. I am limited in term of resources. But I'm am happy that with this new Hero, Zoe, I am advancing at a faster rate now.

MeeSiam & Toast

Came to this place called MeeSiam & Toast and i am surprised at the quality of this Fried Mee Siam. It is certainly top of my list. And there are Coriander dishes and drink which is considered niche lah. My wife purposely tried it and it not that bad actually. As for the mee siam, other than the fried chicken, the mee siam, i will give 9/10. Really one of the best Fried Mee Siam i ever had. The balance of the savoury taste and sourness is just nice.

New Island [WhiteOut Survival]

Again, what i can compared this game is Kingshot. Kingshot's seems to be unlocked immediately when i reached certain level. But for Whiteout survival, after i reached Level 19 for furnace, i still have to wait out 72 hours more to unlock island. 🤨 Its pretty annoying, but i guess the wait is over soon. But so far, i'm enjoying this game so much more than any other !

29ha Khatib Camp is clearing off for more housing

Wah Khatib Camp is making way for more housing in Singapore. They will be relocated to Amoy Quee Camp. Visited Amoy Quee camp in 2001 as part of my National Cadet Corp CCA during Secondary School. Now a part of history for Khatib Camp will be gone and i think both Yishun and Khatib will be filled with lots of housing and people. 29ha is certainly not small and is capable to build 6000+ flats for families to live in. Perhaps the strategy is to import more people or renew older HDB estates to let those people stay in this area's new flats.

[WhiteOut Survival] Bear Trap Event

After going Bear Trap event for the forth time, i finally made it as Top 1 in Damage Points in the Bear Hunt for Whiteout Survival. This is getting very interesting as i am now ranked 60 as of this time of posting in my server. Of course i have to thanks my alliance members as we climbed up to Top 5 Alliance in the entire server. Seems that there is a formula to achieve high damage points in this event. Guides and video are easily available online.

24/7 Long John Silver is just awesome !

Good that Long John Silver finally make its move to open 24/7 at 4 of their branches which also happened to be all at the Northern Region of Singapore. I guess i might visit Northpoint City for their 24/7 outlet for supper during these days. Although they had increased their menu's price significantly, but their price are still below most of the fastfood options, being offered here. Had been eating Long John Silver in the earlier years since 1995 at Parkway Parade so seriously it had been almost 30 years omg. However, the Parkway Parade branch had long been gone as well but it is part of history.

The Straits Time Forum | Don't let eateries misuse the Michelin Name

Well, the article stated not to let those eateries misused the Michelin Bib Gourmand for their marketing and publicity. BUT I thought you need to have a cerain standard to be awarded with the Michelin Star right? Marketing or publicity is really up to those who were awarded. If its good, people will eat. If it doesn't, people at most only go and eat once. So i don't find the need for government to step in to govern this lah. But for those who is not awarded, placing Michelin Star, then is isn't right lah, it is equal to cheating already. 

COE Cars Limitation to VEP...

Typically, COE is a Singapore issue. Don't think Malaysia Minister should even implement such policy at all. I understand about the international travel and passport rules and that is implemented almost most of the countries. But by being not able to apply for VEP if COE cars left with 6 months of less, it is really not welcoming to Singaporeans at all. But then, being unhappy or not, too bad lor since Malaysia wants to play this way.

Gave up on Age of Empire Mobile

Its not an easy task to climb up the ladders even after i got myself a mini boost of one of the best hero, Mulan via cash system. Still, its way too weak to advance in the game and progress is very slow. Despite putting in effort to farm and upgrade research + nice numbers of advance troops. Its still far off other players by an enormous quantity. So i gave up. 😔

ChaPanda at NorthPoint

Chapanda is very popular in China since 2008 and had since opened in several global countries. As for Singapore, they had their first outlet at Orchard Scape and now the latest, Northpoint where it drew more local crowds. They will be running a 1 for 1 promotion soon and i tried their signature or best selling Mango Pomelo Drink and also their second best selling drink. So far, its nice but abit expensive which is common with many other bubble tea chains.

Durian Season in Singapore July 2025

Its durian season again and fortunately, my daughter, wife and myself loves eating durian. Although news media kept saying durian became very cheap, but i don't feel it leh. Its damn expensive eating durian in Singapore. But no choice, the craving comes hard and just bought one XO Red Prawn at $12 per KG and took one that weigh and costs $21. One box just enough for 3 of us lah. At least its so much better than what i got at Paradigm the recent times. 

Real World NATO in games [WhiteOut Survival]

I am progressing at a rapid pace just to quickly hit 4 million in power in 7 days after starting out the new account. I think many got burned along without knowing what to do. So its important what to do even before starting out any game to progress correctly and to attain some valuable targets' items. This is a hardcore yet rule based alliance which i like it, but mainly speak in Tagalog, but with the game bulit-in AI, i can easily convert their language to my English Language. So our alliance is together with the Top 10 Alliances and had made several pact to not break any rules. This is only good as we are well protected because of these rules. But like in the real world settings, there will always be black sheep like the ones we see everyday in work. 😒

WhiteOut Survival 2025

Wah overlapped my experience of Kingshot to this new game which i'm going into. Many people are actually using WhiteOut Survival onto Kingshot as Kingshot is newer than WhiteOut Survival. Anyway, the playing style is largely the same format. But I'm kinda addicted to this game now. As long you stick to your consistent playing style, you will go far in this game. Need to quickly power up and get into a good Alliance to go further.

Pang Pang Kopi Vegetarian Cafe at Canberra Plaza

Ever since Grove Vegetarian Cafe closed down at Canberra Plaza, Pang Pang Kopi Vegetarian Cafe had been operating at Canberra Plaza for a few months now. I am surprised that most of the menu products were the same as Grove Vegetarian Cafe. The only improvement i see is some extra sandwiches for sale and a tray return station. Other than that, the old habits are there. Almost all the time, most of the items on the menu isn't available. Most available items are the Toasts, drinks and eggs. They can say no more rice or noodles at the moment. So sigh.. Most of time, when i go there only to return in disappointment.

Pan Pacific Hai Tien Lo 海天楼 | One of Singapore's Best Cantonese Restaurant

Had always wanting to try the best Cantonese cuisine in Singapore. I had stayed at Pan Pacific last year and really like the hotel room there. It is clean, quiet and accessible to the big malls in the area. In fact, there are many good cantonese restaurants in Singapore. Hence here i am at one of the best cantonese restaurant. Although they did not get the Michelin Star award, Michelin did featured them -> Hai Tien Lo: Forging Waves Of Change In Cantonese Cuisine. In the latest news, they are awarded in Tatler Best Singapore 2025 and Luxury Lifestyle Awards. Overall Damage is around SGD$210. But i think for the price and quality as well as the service and dining experience, it is money well spent !

More and More Mega Malls opening in JB Malaysia

With the RTS ready late next year, more and more Singaporeans or Residents in Singapore can go in JB more easily to restaurants, cafes, groceries, entertainment and shopping. The reason is simple. Because of the strong currency. But it is bad for our local businesses in Singapore. Hence i will still support our local business the best that i can. Sometimes, when you think our local currency is strong against RM, but that item in Malaysia can cost more than what we get in Singapore. So best to do your homework before spending your hard earned money.

If any country scare and pull out of BRICS, it will reflect very badly to BRICS. Age Of Empire Mobile

DarkMicro reporting in to Age Of Empire Mobile [AOEM] as of 06 July 2025. Using my experience in Kingshot, i am able to start playing this game normally as it is similar and I am starting to love these games. Currently i am a long term player in Clash Royale and Clan of Clan. I am starting to go long term in Kingshot and Age of Empire Mobile now. As i am currently not playing any console games at the moment due to busy schedules, but able to fit in these games while commuting from places to places. As a start, I felt that this Age of Empire Mobile is pretty well made. This game is first launched in 17 October 2024 which means that I had missed out most of the rewards, but at least I can see that the game is stable and hopefully survive through many years to come. Along the way, I will share my progress here as well.

Building Blocks [Lego Alternative]

Bought this for $20.87 from Shopee. It contains 1000 Pieces of different building blocks together with a large base plate. Although i said is Lego Alternative, it is so because the box stated that it is compatible with branded pieces also. It is similar, but i notice that it is much harder to plug into the plate. Based on further research, it seems that the machine that made these might not be consistent and had the same formula as Lego branded bricks. Can really feel the quality of Legos bricks as compare to these, but overall is still playable at a fraction of the branded cost.

KingShot Progress After A Week

Nearly a week, i am able to achieve 100% happiness for my residents. My beginner's shield expires and people can start to attack your bases. As i was causally playing happily when suddenly, i got scouted by enemies and started attacking me. Not only myself, but also my entire clan was being attacked. As above, i quickly message my guild to do any form of protection against the attack, Worst than i knew, the attacker is from the World's Number 1 guild, TWW in short. Damn, I managed to survive at the very last minute as i activated my shield. But after tasting such attacks, I began to climb up the ranks. 😡

New McDonald X Jumbo Collaboration Menu !

Just WOW ! As a frequent customers of both Jumbo Seafood and McDonald, finally both of my favourites are getting together to form a collaboration menu ! Of course this is to celebrate SG60 with Singapore's iconic Chilli Crab. So there will be a Chilli Crab Sauce Chicken Burger and Chili Crab Sauce Prawn Burger. Subsequently, you can just buy the Chilli Crab Sauce Tub for $1 to drip with your Fries, drumlets or Nuggets. Together with the main course, you can also find Kampung Drumlets, Iced Dinosaur, Pulut Hitam Pie and Chendol Ice Creams.

Alternative Traditional Healing Against Cold and Flu

As i had been down with Cold and Flu, but still forcing myself to work because of many obligation, these are my alternative cheat code to fight against. As i mentioned last week that i had been taking Panadol Cold and Flu medicination, it does work, but not fully. I am also combining probably 5 sets of different herbal drink together with Yin Qiao San, a type of traditional chinese medicination to also help heal my body. I got to say that I do felt the difference and its healing faster than expected without the headache. I mean each drink depending on the price ranging from $1.50 to $3. Add one sachet of powder around 2grams to the drink ranges from $1 to $2 more depending on how many you get.

Panadol Cold + Flu Treatment

Wah liao. No choice, but already feeling sluggish with "sore" throat, flu and headache throughout since 1st July. Bought this from Guardian and i'm shocked at the price of $13.90 ! 🙄 This is probably the most relevant medicination for my symptoms and also to survive through the dreadful weekend work and through this week. What i can say that this is effective, but its bad to take it often. 

Ang Mo Supermarket Close Down [Canberra Crescent]

There comes the end of the rental of this place and Ang Moh Supermarket does not want to extend further as the demand is just not enough for them. So as a resident here, i just hope something good or same standard can resume operation here. I know its hard as there are two big supermarkets and several other mini marts in the area. Took some photos of my daughter as part that she actually came here multiple times and this supermarket had existed even when she was not borned yet.

Dino Cake House & Cafe

Dino Cake House & Cafe had been in business for the past 30+ years since 1993. They are famous for their Sugar Roll and its best selling item for only $1.10 a slice. Other than taking away the Sugar Roll, I had my breakfast at their family cafe where we had some more cakes both strawberry and durian, Mee Siam and Lontong. But I am surprised that they heated up using Microwave so a little turned off about this. Other cakes were decent, but the durian looks like isn't real one. Drinks were kind of expensive. So the only thing i can recommend is the Sugar Roll, which clearly is one of the nicest one, Outright better than Polar or other bakeries for similar roll. Best to buy for your little party too.

虾道 Legacy Of Prawn (Canberra)

Came here for the 3rd visit and this time, i am splurging on the most expensive option here because not free to visit another Michelin 2024 outlet at Adam Food Center this time, but eventually will fork out time to try there. So I ordered their Big Prawn Noodles and biggest portion at SGD$10. Well, at a neighbourhood area, this is quite ok, not too expensive and not too cheap either. So what i got is really a big bowl, but not filled up to the brim lah, just the big bowl. Noodles portion were average. Prawns wise, i will say don't seems big, it is just medium sized as i saw bigger king prawns before. But I believed in what you pay is what you will get lah. So 5 medium prawns which the flesh are cut open and no half prawns being cut fortunately. Many bean sprouts, fish cakes and some pork slices. Soup as usual from the past few visits, still not deep in flavour. Hence overall, i give this bowl a 5.5/10 for its price and overall taste. 

SG60 vouchers for National Day 2025

As a one time issuance from SG Govt to all Singaporeans household, we have extra vouchers out of the regular GST Vouchers. But technically is the same, 50% for supermarket spending and 50% for other shops' spending. So seniors can start accessing redeemSG to redeem their vouchers for $800. For the rest who are younger, can redeem $600 from the same website from 22 July 2025 onwards. Better spend wisely 😃

Refurbished Tanjong Katong Complex in 2029

Tender for this newly refurbished Tanjong Katong Complex had been awarded and will be ready by 2029 if no unforeseen issues. Part of the history was that the old building was built by HDB and completed in 1982. It is part of where we usually shop for our malay goods and stuffs. It will still remain its focused shopping shop spaces with the exception of Geylang East Public Library will be opened here. Meaning that the existing Geylang East Public Library will be closed by 2027 to 2028 likely so. 

One of the Best Socks -> Uniqlo

Solid pair of socks from Uniqlo. It normally costs S$5.90 each pair, but managed to get it at 4 pairs discount of less than S$13. I tried getting cheap socks from departmental socks in Malaysia, yes they are cheap, but the quality is not really good as it will be very slippery and smelly after half a day of usage. Uniqlo socks are different and i strongly recommend them. Not only it is affordable and long lasting, it is also anti bacterial helps fight against odour from our feet. This will help our feet stay healthy and clean !

[Michelin 2024] Maxwell Fu Zhou Oyster Cake

Dropped by Maxwell Food Center to have my late breakfast. Main breakfast i am having Tanjong Pagar TeoChew Fishball Noodle which is long queue, but as what i observed, the mode that they are preparing the noodles are very slow. But it turn out to be quite ok. Main thing is the Michelin 2024 awarded Maxwell Fu Zhou Oyster Cake. At $2.50, i think it is reasonable. We ate this while queuing for the noodles. Quite pleasant and good, but certainly not something i will purposely go for. But perhaps it deserve the award. Lastly, had the peanut dessert and Tao Suan, saw a long queue, but i find it normal though.

Popeyes at NorthPoint 2025

Went to NorthPoint to order takeway two sets of 3 piece chickens with Mashed Potato and Tenders with Mashed Potato at around $22+ and well, fast food are expensive. I used to like everything about Popeye's Chicken, bread biscuit and Mashed Potato, because they are so much different than other fast food chain in terms of the overall taste. But this time, the mashed potato and bread biscuit tasted horrible. I hope its only at this branch. But both the fried chicken and Tenders were normal. So yeah, felt that my $22 were burned and probably will skip Popeyes till next time.

Pak Mandor Nasi Lemak Review 2025

When its Nasi Lemak, i got to say this store is 100% Muslim-Owned. And this is a solid plate of Nasi Lemak near Yishun Community Hospital in the HDB Blocks [Address as below]. Each of this plate is $5 and i got to say the portion and price is really great ! Every ingredients are done right. I can't comment on the fish as i don't usually take Kuning Fish. But the rest of the ingredients are good and fresh. Special mention on the Chicken Wing is very well marinated. I think if you compared with Ayam Taliwang, i would prefer this instead. But of course this is not my first visit, previously i felt is just average. But when I came recently, i will rate this as 8/10.

Janggut Laksa Review 2025

Came again in 2025 to attempt Janggut Laksa at Queensway Shopping Center while I am in the area for Ikea purchase. The entry level for the laksa and Chicken Cutlet rice is at $6 each. The otak and lime juice are not bad. However the main course doesn't meet the standard. First of all, portion and price already turned off. To make matter worst, the quality is at 5/10. It just passed off as normal lunch food. Fortunately, there are free ice cream just behind and its the full bar of ice cream thingy. What i never include here is the Queensway Tu Tu Kueh, which i should feature instead. I ordered the Tutu kueh with coconut, 3 for $3. As it is not the first time eating there, but you simply can't find any where better than this. I think this Queensway Tu Tu Kueh deserve to have Michelin 1 star and i gave a perfect rating of 10/10 !

Kingshot | Innovative idle medieval survival game that combines strategic gameplay

Kingshot was released on February 22, 2025, for both iOS and Android. It is a real-time strategy game developed and published by Century Games Pte. Ltd. It is an innovative idle medieval survival game that combines strategic gameplay. But i officially started playing this on 19 June 2025 and after a week of playing, i think it is something that i will play long-term, but remain as F2P player. In fact, it is quite addictive once you are aware of the overall game mechanics. One thing for sure, you need to quickly get into an active guild to reap lots of rewards and resources.

Super Mario 3D All-Stars

Released on 18 September 2020 for this title for their 35th year anniversary and they only released a limited number of this game. Not sure if Nintendo Online Store have or not. But heard that they no longer release and not even available to purchase via Online e-Store. Hence I bought it to hold on and it is still sealed for almost 5 years now. There were quite a lot of speculation that this title will increase in term of value. Hence i bought it and keep it. But i started selling it 2 years ago and no one seems to buy it till today and I sold it at cost price. 😩 So I think game really can't retain value. After all, it is a Switch 1 game and Switch 2 had just released, so I better get rid of it since there is a buyer finally.

Finally upgraded to Starhub 3Gbps Fiber Broadband

Finally Starhub Network Engineer had came down to my place to install my new 3Gbps Fiber Broadband connection. With this latest TP-Link free router that can broadcast the latest WiFi standard and transmit more than 3Gbps up to 6.5Gbps. But won't achieve 6.5Gbps lah, because i subscribe the 3Gbps one which cost me less than $40 every month. Last time my connection was 1Gbps + 1Gbps of dedicated connection. Previously cost me more than $60 per month. With better technology advances, of course have to take advantage of faster Internet connections with lesser cost. Unfortunately, if talking about LAN, all my rooms LAN points are based on maximum 1Gbps, hence can't truly take advantage of the faster LAN network. Maybe if i have the budget, perhaps will get a cable contractor to lay all the latest Cat 8 LAN cable throughout all my rooms for future proof till end of lease of my HDB flat. 😅

SMH Salted Egg Custard Pau

Finally a pretty solid Salted Egg Custard Pau from SMH. Selling at Sheng Siong Supermarket last week for some discount at less than $6 for two packets. One packet contain 4 paus, decent sized i would say, but the best part is the filling. It is generous and i hope both the price and filling stays consistent. I will say this is really enjoyable and its close to restaurant quality for something so easy to prepare it. Just take out from the fridge and place into the steamer, 5 to 6 minutes and it is solid. Need to be careful when taking out the bottom paper as the filling might leaked out. I will give 8/10 for both the quality and price of this product.

Do Qoo Dessert 豆趣 at Canberra Plaza

Do Qoo Dessert 豆趣 had been operating at Canberra Plaza for quite some time now. Usually i will patronize them when they are having some discount or good deals for their desserts. I got to say that their desserts were quite top notch in standard, but price is quite competitive. So this time, i tried their signature dessert again called "Golden Beauty" selling at $4.80 each which is their best selling item. Bought two at $8.80 via their letterbox coupon and really need to support them to stay afloat. Currently, I can see that Canberra Plaza itself have many empty shop space which is still not occupied after the previous store closes down. My daughter love this dessert and really ate alot non-stop. 😅

Dian Xiao Er 店小二 Part 5 of 2025

This should be part 5 or rather the 5th trip to Dian Xiao Er 店小二 in 2025. But this time, we are there for the Father's Day Duck. So we ordered the regular things we eat and my daughter loves to collect the duck. She also like to eat the duck, but i think the duck meat is still a little tough for her to bite. But for us adult, i think its good enough. Really enjoyed the duck meat in Dang Gui. Probably still the best in Singapore.

[Michelin 2024] Ji De Lai 记得来 Hainanese Chicken Rice

They were awarded with the latest Michelin award in 2024. I had eaten their roasted chicken rice even way before 2024 as I often frequent Chong Pang Market particularly Sunday for my breakfast and purchased of cheap milk powder to save costs. Well, till date i experienced a few unpleasant encounters with them. One which even when we are queuing for their chicken rice, they would serve other familiar customers who wasn't in the queue. When i see such things happening, i would walk away. Before 2024, i felt that their chicken rice were average. Today I did another visit in 2025 at the time of this posting, both the roasted pork and roasted chicken were average as well and i felt that they still did not attained the golden standard yet, unlike Boon Tong Kee which also attained Michelin Star. I will rate this as 5.5/10.

Is Jumbo bringing back JPOT?

As a Jumbo member and patronized Jumbo for more than 3 decades since I'm a child, JPOT had been around from 2009 when it started its first branch till 2019, it closes it last JPOT branch. During those wonderful 10 years, i had been utilizing my annual vouchers and quarterly vouchers just for JPOT aside its Seafood branches. Recently last week, i started getting survey from Jumbo group that they might be bringing back JPOT once again and I am excited and looking forward to their new JPOT restaurants. In a sense, i preferred dining in quiet and posh settings rather than Hai Di Lao's loud and service focused services. I think Jumbo still have a rather generous and more affordable way for common folks to enjoy premium food. Praying hard, they will bring back and I will definitely go and share more with their JPOT experiences once again !

Pasar Malam Colour Steamed Bun at Woodlands MRT

I always remembered last time used to buy these at only $1 for three. Now at this time of posting, It is $3 for 3 which makes it $1 a piece. In the past, this is always made hot when ordering. But now, it is placed there right on the steamed part, till when i got mine. The base is burned and hardened. I only take like 60% of the remaining bun to eat with my daughter. Nowadays, they also just throw it into the plastic bag. The supplied coconut also reduced to like application of one bun only. So it is truly expensive for something don't worth that much.

New Singapore Pool's Toto Match

Yeah Singapore Pool released a new Toto way to play and it is called Toto Match. I will be betting on their 2nd draw as i missed betting on their first draw last week. Above is the current version of the newly released Toto Match betting slip. As the M AN and M2 prize money is too little, I tried the M3 and M4. So for M3, i need to choose three numbers and if the toto draw came out all my three numbers, i will win $500. As for M4, i chose 4 numbers and if the toto draw came out all my 4 numbers in the standard 6 numbers toto draw, I will win $7000. And this is based on $1 betting. If i bet $10 for the M4 and won, meaning i will get $70,000. Yeah but it is still difficult to win toto. Best record so far i won is only $1400 like in 2010.

Jetstar Asia - The End of Direct Flight Between Singapore -> Okinawa

Long Story Short, Jetstar Asia had decided to close the business in asia affecting multiple countries for Jetstar flight as well as making hundreds of people jobless. People are currently in the midst to settle for their existing flight tickets refunds. The only good thing is the cheap fares and the only airline to offer direct flight from Singapore to Okinawa which hits part of my plan for 2026. Well as things need to happen, it will eventually happen. So i'm kinda glad that it happen and have to accept it. The next good news is Scoot knows this is also the core business of many Singaporeans taking Jetstar for this sole purpose. Hence they are working out something that offers direct flight to Okinawa and other destinations in the coming months. I still have time, so i will gladly wait for the Direct Flight between Okinawa and Singapore. Of course, i do hope that the price is right as well.

[Michelin 2024] Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee

It seem that they had recently increase price again. Used to be able to eat King Prawn at $10 which was already pricey. But today at the time of this posting, I ate the Big Prawn & Pork Ribs Noodles at SGD$10 which the aunty reaffirm me that only the King Prawns will be offered if i ordered the SGD$15 one bowl. So i gave it a pass and went for this $10 bowl of "big Prawns" and Pork Ribs noodles. In this bowl, i think they gave a total of 3 bigger prawns cut into half and some pork ribs. Starting from the soup, soup is certainly ok, meet the standards, but not the best as I had tasted better ones. For the noodles, you have the options of changing, but i tried to stick to the original ones which is yellow noodles with bee hoon. The oily onions was good to mix around with the noodles to make it silky. The pork ribs were good, tender and easily fell through the bones just the way i like it so 👍. Prawns are normal but easy to eat. Beside the noodles store, also sells Wu Xiang, which also meets my requirement. However, given the quality and quantity of the prawn and pork ribs noodles, i think i personally will give a 6.5/10. Do i think it deserve the Michelin 2024? Well i don't think so. But still worthwhile for you to try as the place is quite easy to find and accessible.

Fiber Broadband Refresh with Starhub

After moving out from Starhub for my mobile number service, my fiber broadband also due for recontract. Went down to Starhub Causeway Point and enquired on both TV bundle as well as pure Fiber Broadband. As i am currently using Fiber Broadband 1 Gbps + 1 Gbps at $65++ monthly, i went to recontract to the single 3Gbps Fiber Broadband at $39.91. Intially i wanted to take on the 5 Gbps + TV bundle, but seems that the website is showing $60.72 per month, but it can't be bundled as that price. Even after all the basic addon, it is still $78 per month for next 12 months and become $88 per month. So it is not really that worth the money. At the point of this writing, i understand there are many other cheaper fiber plan offering at the same 3 Gbps or more. But decided not to be that adventurous, so will just stick to starhub for the next 2 years.

Burger King's Deals until 6 July 2025

Don't say i never share good deals. Sometimes eat Mcdonald and KFC until quite sian and can try out Burger King. Typically i find their burgers had shrinked and price is quite expensive. Use the promo code from left to right, top to bottom from DG1 to DG20 in running sequence. You should be able to input the promo code while ordering at its kiosk. Personally i think DG10 and DG19 are the better valued deal. Enjoy !

[SGX Stock] ESR REITS unexpectedly gone so high !

LOL ! I had been holding on to ESR REITS for several years now. Only recent movement for me for SGX stocks, i had sold Singtel at a profit. But while reviewing through my various stocks via my POEMS account, I unexpectedly saw profits for my ESR REITS at more than 400% jump of what i own ! It seems based on the recent DBS's Analysis:

ESR REIT (EREIT) reported a strong start to FY25, with 1Q25 distributable income rising 7.0% y/y to SGD44.2mn, driven by full-quarter contributions from two strategic acquisitions and uplift from recent AEI completions. This is inline with our FY25 projections, and makes up c.25% of our full-year estimates. Revenue surged 24.2% y/y to SGD110.5mn and NPI climbed 31.3% to SGD82.5mn, bolstered by the acquisitions of ESR Yatomi Kisosaki DC and 51% stake in 20 Tuas South Ave 14 (both completed in November 2024). On a same-store basis, gross revenue and NPI still posted respectable growth of 3.4% and 5.3% y/y respectively, underscoring strong leasing momentum and cost efficiency gains. Portfolio occupancy held steady at 91.6%, while rental reversions moderated to +8.6% from +10.8% a year ago, led by the Logistics and General Industrial segments. Divestments of two non-core assets above book and ongoing AEIs at 29 Tai Seng Street and 16 Tai Seng Street reaffirm management’s disciplined capital recycling strategy. Cost of debt fell to 3.65% (from 3.84%), and gearing improved 0.9ppt q/q to 41.9%.

Anyway, with such strong earnings, I think i will hold on to ESR REITS ! In fact, i am still holding on to CAPLD ASCEN REIT, CAPLD INT COM TR, FRASERS CPT TR, MAPLETREE PAC TR, STARHUB and of course ESR REIT as of now.
