The StayPrepare.sg [https://stayprepared.sg/staymasked/onetime/] not consistent one. Always go to the place where it shows that there is high number of stock for collection. Went down onsite, but show nothing. Also realized many people went down and wasted trip. Free things doesn't come hassle-free. What to do? Wait and see how lor.

Genki Sushi at New Outlet [NorthPoint]

 

The entire queue took 1 hour 14 minutes to get a table at the new Genki Sushi outlet at Northpoint. Good thing is you can get a queue ticket and continue shopping at the mall. Prior to 3 guest away of your queue. You will get a SMS sent for you to make your way back to the outlet.

Nowadays, viewing and ordering of food is very seamless and easy. Just scan the QR code and we can send an order as many as we can. (8 items max per order, but unlimited order). Uses my Samsung Tab S7 to order food, can really see the options easily :)

Food wise was good. Only the Edo Tamago is abit hard and dry. Hope they can improve on this. The rest of the sushi were ranging from 5 to 7 out of 10. The best one for me is still the Salmon Mentai. Unlike Sushi Express, the green tea is chargable and is in powder form.

Overall damage is $39.54, after the first time 5% discount. So far overall standard is ok and definitely it is good for another return trip. 

Thomson-East Coast Line stage two opens on Aug 28

Yeah took the MRT on the first day of opening of Thomson-East Coast Line Stage 2 yesterday. Of course for now, I'm able to go to my frequent area, Upper Thomson now via Upper Thomson Station. 

The station is very big and there are a total of 5 different exits apart from each other. It certainly benefits everyone living at the area and of course for people like me to try the different foods there.

Collin's Takeaway for Lunch

So I decided to order Takeaway from Collin's last Saturday. So we ordered 1 for 1 deal which have more varieties than what it show above as taken from their website. While ordering, I really don't feel enough, so we ordered this and added some sides.

So after we tabao home our food. This is what it is and I got to tell you that this is a lot unexpectedly. My wife and I have difficulty finishing the food. We added addtional fish and cheese fries. Overall damage were around $25. My wife found the fish ok, but I didn't like the fish. The rest were ok and the fries is certainly better than most western stalls. On a lazy afternoon, these foods will fill your happy stomach :D

Ok for rating, I will give a 6.5/10 for the food overall.

Dinner at Putien

Last Friday night, I had gone to Putien for dinner at Northpoint. Every restaurant is crowded, so we decided to come down to dine. Surprisingly, there wasn't much people so we get ourselves a seat and proceed to order the following dishes: 

We ordered Deep-Fried Chicken with Garlic. Half Chicken portion. I can say is so so taste, but obviously better than hawker standard of course. Decent. Priced at $16.90. I would give a 6/10 for this dish.

For this dish, Its the Deep-Fried Tenggiri Fish. Its ordinary which is available from normal cai fan store, however this is well cooked. My wife said its a cheap fish. But of course, two pieces of this for $11.80 is quite ok in restaurant standard. So I will give it 6/10 too.

I always wanted to order this signature dish from Putien, because its their specialty. It is cooked with 100 seconds. Putien called it "100-Second Stewed Yellow Croaxer". In fact, i found that the sweet and fishy taste is still maintained in the cooking in a good way. Its tender and the fish sauce is perfect for rice. So I feel its worth ordering this when dining in Putien. Dish cost $13.90. I will give a 7/10.

Overall damage is $51.30 at this point of writing. Well, two fishes and half chicken was quite ok. Like many other people often say "Don't order fish at Cai Fan Stall", probably fish are expensive. Well I feel its ok to return for dining at Putien. Its a one-star michelin restaurant after all.

Haagen-Dazs Barista Collection

 

Bought the Barista Edition - Salted Caramel Cappuccino and Brownie Macchiato from Haagen-Dazs. Two for $23.90 from local supermarket, NTUC. 

Coming from a certified Barista, i can guaranteed you that the Salted Caramel Cappuccino is really good. I give it a 9/10. For the Brownie Macchiato, I give it a 7/10. Surely is worth sacrificing for sugar content. I had recently cut down sugar intake. But because of this ice-cream, i willing to eat it.

Aside of this, i know my fridge is messy. BUT this is not the point. The point is every Barista's fridge must have good supply of fresh milk. Because of my daily freshly brewed specialty coffee intake. 

Lastly, I will recommend you to try the Barista edition ice-cream from Haagen-Dazs. Worth the money and sugar rush :P But eat with moderation, because is really sweet :( Share your comments below what you think about this ice cream.

Bettr Barista Starter Kit Set

After I registered my SCA Barista course from Bettr Barista Singapore, I opt for a starter kit from Bettr Barista. If i not wrong, the starter kit costs $38. Ever since I tested this Coffee Bean, the taste is not that bad. Of course my favourite bag of coffee beans were from Starbucks [where i shared in my old Wix blog). 

To stick with this post topic, my starter items are one shot glass, one bag of Bettr Barista own roasted coffee beans 250gm and a small pitcher. Lastly there was a thank you card within the package.

Its basically a set to help me brew a decent cup of coffee daily at home. Personally, i think it is a good coffee school if you want to get serious in brewing specialty coffee in Singapore. Past Blog Sites

Dear All,

I had added two of my past old blogs on the right for reference. People who want to know about my little past.

Looking back at the old blog gives me memories and realized how years have passed by so fast. For the Wix blog which is recent, I actually faced some issue on the limitation of the images to be uploaded. Hence the decision for me to moved back to Blogspot or rather Blogger platform to start anew.

From my current vision, I felt it is good to blog and write out the life story. Probably 10 or 20 years down the road, when I look back, i know what am i experiencing at this point of time. I will try my best to blog daily and looking to focus more on life, especially I am learning more about Coffee Appreciation, focus on my family and of course I am working out to venture on Youtube media creation. Thats my goal. For now, feel free to read up and learn from each other. Share your comments below and good day !

Mcdonald Cheese Cake + Iced Latte

Had this for dinner tonight after my run. I will say that both the cheesecake and Iced Latte is good. However, I had this drink for quite a number of times. The problem is the consistency. The Iced Latte is not at its optimum standard. One of the reason may be because the way how the Barista brewed the drink at that point of time. Nevertheless, the cheesecake is still good and the price is right. $7.95 for both the Cheesecake + Iced Latte. 

A new construction of AmateurCraft

GoodBye to my old blog and will be starting afresh !

Today is the day I started to setup a new blog account. Apparently, I am not new to this. I had first started blogging using blogspot two decades ago. After a few years of blogging, I had started a new work life. Recently, i had started blogging again on Wix. However, after a few weeks, Wix is having some limitation of space for my posts. The reason why i am creating back a new blog and will need some time to fully construct the overall design and theme. I will also take the initiative to link the old blog to this new blog. Stay Tune, Folks as this new blog will stay active and daily post !
