Upgrade to Windows 11 24H2 + Latest Bios

Had been waiting for a very long time to upgrade, because of many legacy applications and in order to meet Windows 11 requirements, i had to make sure the motherboard supports it as it required TPM. Fortunately, i managed to update to the latest Bios version without much issues because it had been version 1.0 since 2021. After updating to the latest version, then i'm able to enable TPM. Then goes the upgrade from Windows 10 22H2 to Windows 11 24H2. Takes me around 1.5 hours to complete. There is some error messages and some applications are not working. But i'm thankful that it didn't crash or had any form of BSOD. Rest of the applications and error can slowly resolved. Ultimately, the main goal of settling into Windows 11 is still relatively smooth and able to receive security updates for as long as possible.

Increase of 10 Singapore Cents for MRT and Bus

All bus and train will be increased by $0.10 for all adults in Singapore with effect from 28 Dec 2024 except for our salary. Its really hard to keep up with the cost of living in Singapore. This is only one of the increase unfortunately. The govt payout is also not much enough to keep pace with the rising cost. Only way to keep finding revenue till we die. 😅 Hard truth but need to do more for the coming year.

Toddler is in the most curious phase

Toddler is seriously in the most curious phase. They love to explore and try different things. They also know what they like or dislike. But of course they do not know what is right or wrong. expensive or cheap. They treat everything as toy and i also experience many important things disappear without a trace. Really need to keep an close eye on them. They will the most unexpected things. 😅

Dispute over Malaysia Condo

Typically in every contract, one must be clear in what they are signing. In this case, it seems that most blur Singaporeans got into the trap of listening to agent. Agent can be wrong, as i usually corrected their mistake. If you are unclear, get a second opinion. This is what i always practise myself too. Check with one, not sure check with another person. Make sure contract reflects what everyone said and is input in the contracts. So in this case, they actually signed up Long Term Rental, it is as good as good game. Sue also no use, its all already stated in the contract.

New Little Butter Latte [Luckin Coffee]

Tried their newly released Little Butter Latte from Luckin Coffee. They had a collaboration with Butterbear, but i don't know about butter bear though. But as what they described, it is using the premium New Zealand Butter in the Coffee Latte. Opt for the less sweet, but it is still sweet though. There's a heavy taste of butter in it. Quite ok i would say, but i had to mixed in tons of plain water to drink it. Its still a little on the sweetier side.

Mcdonald Belgian Waffle Platter

Today managed to try the new Belgian Waffle from Mcdonald. Its not bad actually, but same issue again -> The Quantity ! Almost the same side as the scrambled egg which had shrunk across the years. At least they gave two pieces of butter that can cover both slices. 😆 Well thats about it. Nothing much about the Belgain waffles in fact. Think the pancakes are well worth it.

Merry Christmas 2024 to all !

Wish everyone a good merry christmas to spend time with your family in 2024. 2024 had been rough and many wars are still ongoing as of now. We hope world peace can be restore back without conflict and remain war-less for many years to come. Just have to take this time to enjoy peaceful and quiet time with family and friends.

Mischief at Road | Hint: School Holiday Period

As the titles goes, 3 bicycles were on the road, blocking all 3 lanes. End result, it causes Private Hired Vehicle to brake to avoid them, one taxi hits 1 of the bicycles. To add on the damage, because of the stop, the passenger spills food all over the car interior. So whose fault now? Very clearly, the people who put the bicycles on the road. Its school holidays now and nowadays most of the teenagers loves to cause mischief to public property. I felt that today, Singapore younger folks are becoming more and more worst. They do not think of the consequences at all. This is only one of the incidents that was highlighted in the news, but many more were not being reported. I feel these youngsters should be punished and no chance to be given.

Okinawa Ramen @ Bras Basah Complex

Tested this Okinawa Ramen at Bras Basah complex. I ordered the Spicy Miso Ramen with 4 cha siew meat at $8.50. The soup base was good. This alone gain lots of points. Egg is given half portion only but its good. Noodles was also ok. Rest of the ingredients was ok as well. So i give a good 7.5/10 overall given for its portion, taste and price. Worth eating again. Its located in a kopitiam setting, so lunch time, the place is always crowded.

Losses continue to mount at Singapore's Digital Banks

That is why i did not enter to any of these three digital banks. Not that attractive enough for me to enter. I remember some people kept talking about how good this for TRUST and Maribank. Well, i wouldn't dare to put my money into these three digital banks. If they continue operating at such losses, i think slowly one by one will be pulling out soon. 

Cappuccino is one of the priciest in Singapore [2024]

Well, here to state a fact again. Everything goes up, except real salary. Coffee also raised to be record high in Singapore. All costs will eventually go to the Singapore consumers. We do not produce these, we only consume so we need to pay for it. No choice. Have to really expect expectation and try to reduce costs in our expediture and habits. I have to cut down on takeaways coffees and get the cheaper ones instead. 😮‍💨

The Better Scoop

This Better Scoop had opened for a very long time which is close to my place. Located at opposite Sembawang Shopping Center, i still take a free shuttle bus service from my house bus stop to this place. Just went there during this holiday season and on a hot day to have some ice cream. We ordered the Waffles [$6], two scoops at $8.50 with my premium flavor with additional $0.50. Not remembered what my wife selected, but she said not bad. i ordered some hazelnut flavor and its really not bad. waffle itself was good as well. Crispy on the outside and soft inside.

Research are always nonsense if they are not relevant

Like what the article suggested, it is commentary. Not all wanted praise than money. Often relevant conditions are fulfilled before one can agree. If you are taking low salary, lousy increment and bonus, then whats the point of the constant prasing? That would only make you angry. Of course for those who already had high salary, will agree to this article. So ultimately, these are majority the high income earner.

Japanese Largest Bookstore in JB

Its great to see large bookstore within reach to get our books' need. Best of all, its located at Aeon Tebrau, JB. After book depository is gone, and SG Kinokuniya selling books at sky rocket high, another option is finally available in JB. Can't wait to visit, but got to also expect that although it is big, certain books might not be available as well. 

Fusion Spoon at Singapore Botanic Gardens

Located in Singapore Botantic Gardens near Tanglin Gate, there is not much choices for lunch. So had to settle my late lunch there due to some work stuff happening at that area. Tried this Nasi Lemak Rendang but its average at 5/10. Given it at $8.80, i think its not really worth it and the quality isn't that good. Not many places are good anyways.

Legacy of Prawn @ Canberra Part 2

Tried Pork Rib Noodles Large and Lor Mee Large. Overall is good. But my wife noticed the other time she ordered Lor Mee Large, she only get one portion, whereas today is 2 portions. Wonder if they made a mistake for the first time order. I tried the Pork Rib Noodles, soup is slightly better today. But the pork ribs is of the cheaper quality ones as compared to the East Coast Pork Ribs Noodles which is of premium quality. Of course East Coast Prawn Noodles ones are slightly more expensive. This pork ribs noodles large portion costs $7 as of this writing.

[Clash of Clan] Limited Edition Electro Boots

Wow i am impressed with this Electro Boots. No duration, but it attained permanent Aura Damage everything around the Royal Champion. Not only that but also have hitpoint increase + Self Healing per second to prolong the lifeline in battle is crazy. To add on, now there is a revive spell which revive the fallen heroes to battle is going to increase firepower. Of course, the latest TH is not simple hence these items started to appear. Think it is a must get item for this event.

[Comment] Earn SGD go Malaysia must always be the one to treat

Haha i totally can relate to this ! Remember one of the time i went back to kampung, always have that one or two person will carry out this practice to tell those who worked in Singapore must treat the rest. What they don't know is people often suffer a lot to obtain wealth. Thats hard work and sweat. So i personally also don't like such people. I'm the type that will treat others because i love visiting good foods, thats all.

Singapore Population is going extinct?

Well, if Singapore didn't get new citizens, yeah i believed its true. Singapore and probably the world had decrease in birth rate due to the fact that not everyone can afford the expenses. I think he is saying it because Singapore uses most of the automated robot across the country to reduce manpower for the simple task. I mean he is just stating the fact no matter how people sees it. Partly also due to the good statistics provided by the Singapore Government.

New High for Singapore Weather Temperature

A new high temperature of 36.2°C is the weather in Singapore. The weather is so bad till many people actually took MC as they fell sick. But of course still got those who take MC for their *Ahem*, trip or rest at home since it is December period. Many people is travelling around the world these period. But within these years, weather is indeed getting hotter and hotter. I can't believe if one day it reaches fever rate at 37.5°C, then i think everyone will get fever all year round already. 😐

Ya Kun Teh in Carton Canister Form

Ordered the teh from Yakun Stall for $33. Had to informed them one day before to alert them. Then once i reach the store on the actual day, they will prepare the hot drink on the spot. One thing i didn't know is, they actually provides paper cups which i had purchased my own paper cups. Quantity is ok, at least the temperature can last quite a while for my event. So recommend getting it.

Legacy of Prawn @ Canberra

Finally Legacy of Prawn is opened near my place at a kopitiam. Tested the prawn noodles big bowl, but somehow not really big portion. At $6.50 each, still ok. But the soup which i have high standard still lost to East Coast Prawn Noodles. Not really flavorful, but the dry version of the prawn noodles is not bad. Gave quite a lot of small prawns. It closes early as most of the dishes were sold out, hence will drop by earlier the next time to either try the big prawn noodles or pork ribs noodles.

Happy Birthday to my precious daughter

Happy Birthday to my daughter ! You had learnt a lot through this year with many ups and down. Still making effort to chase up your actual age. Hope you can breakthrough your own challenges and we will never give up on you. Looks like your always sick during your birthday period and i hope next year, u will not be sick again. Wish you good health and grow up happily always !

Mcdonald Sauce will be chargable

To be fair, costs are really going up. This remains as a fact. Another factor is people were always requesting for more sauces even when they really don't need or order lesser than what is enough. Good that they still offer free sauce when you order the nuggets, else i will be blaming Mcdonald already. You want extra, pay for it. It is fair and normally you will pay if you really need it.

Labubu Craze is out of hand

Like what was mentioned by the creator of Labubu. Labubu is not licensed by other companies to reproduce this stuff toy anywhere in the world, especially in Singapore. As Singapore had not been given the right to reproduce this even designed to be used on T-Shirt or cake. But people do not care and went to recreate it due to the fact that how famous it is by some celebrity who carry it. Hence it is breaking the law to get this unless they get it from the original source which is in Hong Kong.

RTS set to be operating by December 2026

Wow set to be operating by Dec 2026. Thats like 2 more years exactly. I wonder if both customs can manage the flow efficiently. Really hated waiting and queuing. This is definitely good news, but if they really launch in December, i wonder how they going to cope with the massive crowd. Felt that isn't it better to start during October and give it some time to iron out operational issues rather than stating service is down due to unforeseen circumstances. Nevertheless, this is a people's project which benefits both countries. I hope they don't come out with ridiculous pricing like Batam Ferry. 😅

New Waffles coming to McDonald today !

Yeah Mcdonald is releasing its waffles set today 05 December 2024 as its breakfast menu item. Making use of its Hotcake syrup, you don't need to eat hotcake already. Waffles somehow have a better texture and flavor as compared to hotcake, but hotcake is easier to eat for the kids. So let's see if the portion will be good.

Ta-Daa Box City Square JB

Recommended from Xiao Hong Shu, its in Malaysia for awhile. Price wise is still expensive, but most people goes for the surprise + nice video content. Drink wise, i took the Coconut Burst. Not very nice though, but ok to drink. Got one of the stuff toy. My daughter like it during that moment and now just throw one side. So probably just an one time wonder.

Malaysia Former Minister sentence to Jail + Caning

Wah didn't expect Ex-Malaysia Minister Syed Saddiq got sentenced to Jail + Caning. Not sure whether if he really do money laundering, but i do follow his social media with regards to Malaysia current issues. I felt he is clean, just kana sabo in some ways. Hope he can clear his name in the court of appeal ! 

New East Coast Integrated Depot

I mean, it is nice to have such facility to manage all the trains and buses are good. These are after all taxpayers' money. Let's hope this will minimize faults and increase the reliability of both trains and buses. Fare wise, i hope can do more for fellow citizens as it is kind of pricey nowadays.

New Mala Chicken Burger & Mcflurry [Mcdonald]

Had the new Maltesers Mcflurry + Mala Crispy Chicken Burger from SlowFood Mcdonald. Too many people buying and queuing for food. No longer the fastfood chain we all want. But the mala burger was surprisingly good, but again portion is small. As for the Maltesers Mcflurry, was ok.
