Another visit to Gyoza Ohsho

As usual, still my favourite place to enjoy my Cha Han and Gyoza. You will never go wrong to order any dish from here. The place also called Gyoza Ohsho is an old Japanese-Style Chinese Cuisine. Till date after so many years, the standard is still being maintained and consistent for their food. You do not need to order any drinks, as they offered free unlimited supply of tap water. 😆 Just spend on their combos and it should be enough for anyone. Do try out their green chilli too especially with your cha han. Really goes well with it. GUARANTEED !

Free U.S. PORK Bag =D

Purposely spent more than $12 to get the free bag, because I think the U.S. Pork Bag looks hilarious. 😆 Well, usually I will stock up lots of SPAM Luncheon meat for my regular meals at home. It is still the number 1 Luncheon meat till date. Tested the Mili version and it is the same type as Ma Ling brand. About 3 decades ago, my mum used to fry the Ma Ling Luncheon Meat, during that time, it was the best to go with bread or fried rice. Nowadays, Ma Ling version had changed and went down from Tier A to Tier F. As the Mili one tasted similar as the Ma Ling version, hence it is around Tier D range. Well, doubt i will carry this out, as some may not be happy with me holding this. 😏

Major Update Finally for my Wallpaper Engine Application !

Having purchased and supporting the Wallpaper Engine application on my desktop and laptops, i had used them for probably 4 years now. Finally this year, they had released and expanded to Android devices as well. A truly awesome product and helped to improve the overall aesthetic of my background instead of static wallpapers. Will be piloting on my Samsung Tab S7 before rolling out to my Samsung Z Fold 4. Damn I get very addicted to my Samsung Z Fold 4 and seriously it is worth every penny spent ! 😍 For those interested in Wallpaper Engine, you can get it from Steam online store. 😇

Somersby WaterMelon Premium Cider + Something scary :/

First of all, i had been drinking their Apple Cider in bottled form for many years. Lately, I tried their new Watermelon cider. I think it is not that bad also ! I think the bottle and can is only 10ml difference. But one can is able to have a good night rest easily. So I recommend anyone to try this. Take note, there is alcohol content.

Secondly, whats more scary is.... I just took a photo of the above Somersby Water Premium Cider and did not done any search of the keyword. The next moment while browsing social media, this ad suddenly pop up in front of me. Too much of a coincidence? 🍺😯 

[Dumb Fuck Series] Episode 2: A very good book on understanding and how to deal with Narcissists.

Went to the book launch and they are running a book launch offer and a mirror perfect for practicing against Narcissists. They are increasing in the world, especially to the younger generations. Not surprising that I noticed that there are one or two Narcissists existed in the place I am working in. Seriously, because of one of the biggest and worst situation happened in 2021, that is where I had evolved and immediately shutdown and uninstall my social media accounts to prevent further corruption from it. Fast forward to Mid 2022, another problem is the change of environment instead of roving around. The toxicity is strong  and I had learnt some good tactic in this book to help reflect away these negative people. The worst thing is these people doesn't know that they have some issues and are confused of their actions. I want to help, but they are not helping themselves. 😌 Thanks to this book, I returned back to the same calm person and continue wearing the anti-narcissist mask. 😀

Sadia (Brazil) Frozen Chicken Griller

Actually regardless whether Malaysia can or cannot supply chicken, there are really many ways to eat chicken lar. With the rising costs of fresh chicken, actually the cheaper alternative of frozen chicken is still good if you buy and cook at home. Even the famous comparison of a plate of chicken rice nowadays is priced the same as I bought this whole frozen chicken. Season with olive oil, salt and black pepper. Grill it for about 40 minutes and it is already good to eat it on its own. Add on with your favourite sauce of Chilli or Mayo and this is even cheaper than your Western Whole Spring Chicken at SGD$13.90 where you can even use that same $13.90 to buy three of these frozen chicken ! 🐔

Husk Nasi Lemak @ Bugis Cube

Got the Chicken Cutlet Set Nasi Lemak from this place as recommended by my colleague. Immediately, the portion is kinda small, but got to resign to fate that I am now having lunch in the city center. 💬 So what we have here is the small chicken cutlet, peanuts, Ikan Bilis, some archar, chilli, some crispy batters and the most interesting thing here is the onsen egg with flowing yolks when you break it apart. Rice is pretty normal, in fact it is somehow pretty normal except for the onsen egg, but the onsen egg is cold, probably to maintain the yolk from hardening. So all in all, i think is quite expensive for a pretty normal nasi lemak. P.S. After 2 hours, two other colleagues together with me were feeling headache at the same time who had eaten the same dish earlier. So we suspect maybe MSG too much. 😓

New Limited Edition Coca Cola by DJ Marshmello

Its ain't Marshmello flavor Coca Cola. It is part of Coca Cola from its Creations line with DJ Marshmello. I listened to his music like "Happier". So this coke is not marshmallow flavored, but rather fruity. It is infused with Strawberry and Watermelon flavors. I bought it from our local 7 Eleven store and it costs SGD$3.50 for 2 cans. So far, i like it and i think our local supermarket is selling at a more affordable price. Although it is Zero Sugar, but the taste seems sweet, but it is in fact not sweet. 😂

Launch of ROG Phone 6 Series in Asus SG Store on 26 August 2022

Was waiting for this since late 2021 and Asus SG is always delaying the launch for so long. As an ex-owner of Asus ROG Phone 1st Gen, I am always open to innovation to high-performance mobile device and also mobile gaming. Finally on 26 August 2022, i went down to the store to visit and this is rather a surprise last-minute visit as I saw from social media that they are releasing it today. The overall build and feel was great. As usual, the 165hz refresh rate certainly is very smooth not only for gaming, but throughout the navigation of mobile interface. Unfortunately, it was released at the worst possible time as I had already preordered my Samsung Z Fold 4 and collecting the following day. In the past, Asus Singapore were always known to delay the launch of the device as well as collection of the device. Having less perks as compared to other markets. So well, it is a good device and recommend others to get it if you game a lot.

Hokkaido Yotsuba Milk

This Hokkaido Yotsuba Milk [1 Litre] is retailed at around SGD$6.80. Milk in Hokkaido are very creamy and some say it is close to vanilla flavor. For me, i felt it is rich as compared to other local brands which were cheaper. Cow in Hokkaido, most japanese said that they were stressed free and treated very well. As a result, it produce this unique texture and taste. I guess it already depends on the climate there. When I was in Hokkaido, I signed up for one of the personal tour there and the tour guide also verified that they measured in terms of 3.6 percent fat content, pasteurized variety as compared to other country. Even within their country, they have many percentage level of milk being sold there. So yeah this milk is great for adding to my cereal or beverage, but it is quite costly where I can buy two litres for local milk with this price range. 

Chew's Omega 6 Farm Fresh Eggs

Had been supporting this brand of eggs from Chew's Omega 6 Fresh Eggs for many years. This is usually cost much more expensive than the other local or malayisa's eggs especially in the form of trays of 30. Found that these eggs were better than others probably due to personal preference as well. Always go for promotion to save more. When there is promotion, we can eat more and include in the daily diet, if no promotion, probably buy and eat lesser. Current price at this time of posting is SGD$3.80 per 10 eggs.

Josh's Grill at Velocity@Novena

Was running some errand the another day and came over to Josh's Grill during lunch time. Went to order the combo meal "Chicken Chop + Dory Fillet" with Ice Lemon Tea and Chicken Carbonara meal with Mushroom Soup. Apparently the bun served with butter seems to be complimentary. Total Damage after 10% Service Charge and GST 7% is SGD$45.43. For the Chicken Carbonara and Mushroom is good, but can be improved further. As for the combo meal, i probably give it a 6/10. There were a few side dishes you can select when you order these combo meal. I got the french fries and cold pasta. Cold pasta not that nice, french fries was normal, fish is all right and the chicken chop not marinated that deep yet. 

Leong Yeow - Famous Waterloo Street Chicken Rice [Since 1974]

Had a quick lunch with my colleagues at the local kopitiam at Waterloo Street. This store at been around for many decades and expect to see long queues during lunch time. They offer roasted and steamed chicken. I saw them also selling roasted pork as well. So I usually will add additional roasted pork at a chicken store who also selling roasted pork. Not all chicken rice stall sells pork. Actually I had this for a few years and they do maintain the standard after so many years. Rice and Soup were great. Chicken and roasted pork is good as well. As they are selling at a rather cheap rate, i have no complains on the quantity. A good plate of chicken rice, so recommended to try it yourself.

Budget Cold Brew Coffee for the morning rush

Normally, i would had breakfast at home before heading out to work. Sometimes, I will tabao breakfast to work if I arrive a little earlier. But when there is no time or I have to rush to work at 7am sharp at office. These cold brew coffee really help to fix the morning rush. If you see Starbucks or Coffee Bean & Leaf, cold brew can be expensive and they don't usually opened that early. I will always ensure there is enough stock of Japanese Cold Brew Coffee in my fridge in case i need it. Cold Brew not only cool down your body, but always help to keep your mind fresh ignoring the morning headaches. Best of all, these coffee have no sugar, so it is great to drink or simply go along with your quick breakfast sandwiches.

Ishiro Fusion Bowl Canberra [Part 2]

Well, I tried their Iberico Pork + Chicken Combo in a kopitiam setting. $13.90 is the max i will go for if the food is good in a kopitiam setting. But well, it did not meet the cut and the standard probably worth $6.90 in my opinion. First of all the soup wasn't that "gao" and the egg as usual, I understand that they want to create the onsen and yolk that spread out in the bowl. 😳 But it still had a very raw taste for the egg. Both meat selections were not that flavorful and it is very normal. Not much to shout about, but perhaps it is the last time that I will spend my penny at this stall. This is already a second chance that I put money into it, but quite disappointed.

AmateurCraft - 1st Year Anniversary !!

The setup and maintenence of AmateurCraft had came so far and today, 22 August 2022, AmateurCraft had successfully posted more than 365 posts and posted consistently daily. We will continue to post daily contents everyday to share more on random information that may be useful for some. This is also a platform where I write about an amateur part of what I encounter in life, however it will be communicated in a way where it will be a little vague to avoid giving out sensitive information.

I might take this time to remove some category from the exclusive content as I felt that there is not much value add. Might spend some time to introduce more exclusive content, be it hobby or abit of some psychological behavior content based on some books and also provide some real-life encounters or experiences in this. However, please note that I don't post 80% of what I am doing in my private. The posts in this website will only show 20% of what I am doing.

The world is changing and human have to evolve. For those who I had spoken to during our lunch and dinner sessions, currently I am spending only 13% of my time and effort on this. Currently my new job scope of job number 1 had been eating up from 30% to 65% as compared to previously. As a result, it is affecting my income for job number 2 from 30% to 15% and job number 3 from 27% to 7% now. I am now sacrificing more sleep to try to strike a balance on these tasks. Rest assured that I will still be maintaining the 13% of producing contents both in here as well for YouTube Videos. 

Looking forward to continue this and move into the next phase of this dangerous world. The world are confused now and financial sector may come into a fresh restart. Had a massive-ready fund to ride out the clean slate day to come. Happy 1st Year Anniversary for AmateurCraft !

HarriAnns Nonya Table @ Bugis Junction

HarriAnns Nonya Table sells traditional and freshly-made Nonya Kueh, not forgetting Coffee, Tea and other beverages. It is located above Bugis Junction beside BHG departmental store. The free seating setting offers a laidback surrounding to chill at. If you enjoy having traditional kueh with coffee and tea, this is the place you supposed to come and try it out. I ordered the Kueh Dadar, Ondeh-Ondeh, Milo and Coffee. The Ondeh-Ondeh is on a sweeter side, but it sure beats Bengawan Solo ones. Its Kueh Dadar is abit different as it has a bright orange coconut inside as compared to other darker coconut type. Coffee is good and Milo is quite standard.

Happy Village Seafood Behind Canberra MRT

Located inside jalan malu malu, it is a rather ulu place behind Canberra MRT. Had a late dinner there till almost 12 midnight with my working colleagues. Had some biitergourd egg vegetables, coffee pork ribs, some tofu and i think is sin chow bee hoon (actually is the same type like Putien bee hoon). Overall the food there is all right. Not too bad and not too good. The place is quite uncommon as it is an old type of shophouses as seen in the 1970s. They do serve breakfast menu like prawn noodles, carrot cakes, lor mee, fried bee hoon, etc in the morning till early afternoon. The rest of the day will be zi char and drinks.

Pinhole Coffee Bar

Not sure why it is called Pinhole Coffee Bar, but i know why it is a coffee bar based on the overall design in this cafe. My colleagues and I came into this cafe to rinse our mouth with some coffee after lunch. As the coffee menu were quite limited, we order some BLACK and WHITE coffee. The Latte Art was good. Coffee wise, think is more towards the bitter note, still decent coffee. Ambience was good, but limited seats. Coffee being coffee, it still manage to keep us alert to continue another halftime of our day job. 💪

The Laughing Cow - Ham Flavour Spreadable Cheese

To enjoy as a standalone cheese consumption, don't need to spend so much on those expensive cheese. This is one of the most basic, yet delicious cheese to enjoy to eat it by itself. This Laughing Cow brand had many other flavour, but the most delicious flavour in my opinion is the Ham Flavour one. Although you still consume and taste like cheese, the ham flavour certainly elevate the taste buds upon inserting into your mouth and the aftertaste is something you want to achieve. It costs around SGD$3.95 with 8 pieces inside. So that is equal to around 50 cents a piece.

Cat & the Fiddle - Mao Shan Wang Durian @ Woodlands Square

Was around the area looking for a coffee place. As there is a Cat & the Fiddle around the corner, we went in as there is available table and seats. I ordered a slice set and chose the Mao Shan Wang Durian and a Flat White Coffee. Also ordered a cup of Orange Chocolate. Normally I only order takeaway for their cakes when there were discounts and bought mainly from its Northpoint Branch. This time, it is the first time i sit in to get my cake and coffees. Everything we ordered, the paper cups and plastic plate were disposable. This time, i felt that the Mao Shan Wang Durian cake was not that heavy in taste, quite plain and certainly not rich in the durian flavor. Quantity is small unfortunately. 😔 The Orange Chocolate and Flat White were good, but again, it is small for the price. Guess got to get used to such prices. 😩

[NDP 2022 Edition] Limited Edition NDP 999 Pure Gold Coin @ SGD$57

Days before Singapore's National Day on 09 August 2022, SK ran promotion to sell their limited edition Pure Gold Coin of our National Flower and NDP 2022 collection. They are only selling it for the first 57 customers at SGD$57 each store with purchase. As written above, I arrived at 11.09am when they opened at 11am after my breakfast at NorthPoint. The best part is I am still the number 9 customer to purchase this at the promotion price at SGD$57 instead of SGD$99. So i went to purchase another Disney Mickey Mouse Pure Gold Coin which apparently is the last one. Gold price is SGD$97 and not SGD$75 as what my colleague had been talking about. 😒Anyway, this marks the end of National Day 2022 edition and life returns back to reality.

[NDP Edition] Long John Silver's 3 Piece Chicken Deal @ NorthPoint

So I also ordered and tabao Long John Silver's 3 Piece Chicken Deal at Northpoint. Initially, i thought that I supposed to provide the coupon or e-coupon, but they actually place the menu at the counter. Good Job Long John Silver ! 😀 At only SGD5.70, this kind of deals or pricing probably existed back in 2013 and before. As i tabao this back home for movies and NDP, I took awhile to eat this. It is still best to eat it at the premise or asap after ordering. Because the fries and chicken will turned out to be not that nice anymore. But of course, i think LJS chicken and fries is really not bad when eaten hot.

[NDP 2022 Edition] Durian Dessert @ Nine Fresh

As Nine Fresh were having a limited durian dessert, I ordered one for my NDP TV + Sofa delights. While ordering, i noticed that my old card had already redeemed something already. So I opt for a new card to extend the expiry date. Ahh, so yeah inflation if you noticed that they did adjust the pricing of desserts and pricing of the card as well. But it is ok, thats what loyal customers do, continue to support if the stuffs was good. Didn't get the Earl Grey Milk Tea, as it might affect my sleep, because i have work while many others were enjoying long holidays leave, etc. No choice lar, work first loh, really need to plan as the more i avoid niche work, the more I am being placed into. 😓

[NDP 2022 Edition] Breakfast for National Day (GreenDot)

Decided to go "Vegan" for breakfast during National Day's holiday. Went to Greendot from Northpoint in the morning and there was a large crowd queuing for the egg tarts. Heard from passers-by that it is selling at 4 Egg-Tarts for SGD$5.70, hence the long queue. Unexpectedly, Greendot was empty and have many seats, so we settled for having vegetarian dishes. We got ourselves a "1 Main + 1 Green" and "1 Main + 2 Green". To me all the vegets were great. The rice, I personally get the sesame oil rice while my wife gets the brown rice. Unlike the meaty meals that I always eat, seems that vegets don't make my stomach get bloated easily and felt refreshing. Perhaps I should add more vegetarian meals to my weekly meals.

Tabao their coupon deals from Collin's from NorthPoint. The mushroom soup was decent, wished that it can be more salty and richer mushroom taste. The main highlight for this deal is the NDP Cheese and Mayo Fries. It was better than KFC Cheese Fries for sure ! The cheese and mayo was just right and the amount was good portion. If only this deal lasts forever, I might come back for more. 😛 However, i think it is only for ND's period.

Preorder will probably start at the launch. However, something disturbing is the launch price in Singapore at SGD$2496 as speculated by RedWhiteMobile, a local mobile shop based in Singapore. Previous launch price for Samsung Z Fold 3 256GB model was at SGD$2398. If this report is true, it means that there will be a increase of SGD$98 for the next launch. Happy National Day to Singapore ! Proud to be a Pure Singaporean !

First of all, a very happy national day to Singapore. To be exact, it is Singapore's 57th years of independence. Time for me to take this chance to also reveal what I bought earlier and reveal my Limited Edition number for you 4D punters out there. 😆 So it seems that this model is almost out of stock and fortunately I am able to purchase one of them to add onto my Solar series. Gotta change the strap to a black metallic one soon. Actually i also find the [LIMITED 57PCS ONLY] SINGAPORE 57TH NATIONAL DAY WATCH W06-03290-001 one not bad too and it is at an affordable price too, but will skip that. 😏 Didn't manage to get NDP tickets this year, but it is ok. Shall just celebrate at home with food and our big screen. 😝

The only brand I use for my Face Wash Product

Talking about facewash product, there are many stories I could talk about, but probably only quote one. Before I start the story, I had been supporting this for about 10 years and buying only from the cheapest source. In the past, i usually buy them at JB at about RM8 per tube. Then in Singapore, i managed to get them at SGD$2.70 at some Ulu shops. Whenever i see them at the cheapest possible price, I will buy them at around 10 tubes each batch based on the expiry dates. The white one one were more expensive at around SGD$5.50 a tube at my special place. Thats how i save money.

So one day, one of my friend recommended my to some facewash products to sell and market the products. It is made of some dead-sea minerals found at some countries and it costs like SGD$70 to $90 per tube or bottle. Like what I mentioned, I can't sell them, because I do not use such expensive products. It can't pass my consciousness of selling it to others, not even my families or relatives. I hate to do such things. My character is too honest, so I obviously rejected the offer multiple times in a 2 hours Zoom conference. Seriously who the hell spend SDG$80 to $100 for one of these similar size facewash?! Obviously there is, but only a handful and obviously these rich people only get their products from local stores la. Thats why I felt some business collaboration doesn't make sense. 

Yes! Nasi Kukus Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak with Brown Rice

Happened to be in the area after running some errand here. This is located at Blk 573 Woodlands Drive 53, Singapore 732573. Yes! Nasi Kukus is known for their rice grains which were steamed in its metal cups where it gives a soft and fluffy texture. I opt for the brown rice because I wanted to be more healthy, but this is obviously bull-shit because their fried chicken is TOP-NOTCH ! Definitely recommend anyone to go try their fried chicken. It is perfectly marinated and fried enough to give this unique taste ! 😋 Last but not least, chilli and curry sauce really elevate the whole plate for nasi lemak. My rating i give for this is 8/10.

Double McSpicy Burger 1 For 1 DEAL !

Well, the best burger at McDonald Singapore is none other than the Double McSpicy Burger ! I can't emphasize much, but personally this is one of my favourite burger in McDonald Singapore. So only on 2nd and 3rd of August 2022, McDonald Singapore had a 1 for 1 deal on McDonald App. I can't believe myself, not because of the 1 for 1, but rather than I had it all for myself. I consumed 8 McSpicy Patties for the 2 days. So the price is SGD$7.50 for 2 Double McSpicy. I actually had it twice for my dinner. Sure I 💩 a lot, but the bad part is I don't feel good and feel the guilt somehow. 1st day, I queue for an entire 1 hour and 20 minutes for the 2nd day. It is delicious, but unfortunately it is unhealthy so eat with moderation. 😑

[Dumb Fuck Series] Episode 1: Always be clear of your reporting in terms of Date & Time

In terms of work and reporting, it always need to be precise on the date and time. Reason being that you never know if any investigation need to take place. I don't care whether it is email, whatsapp, telegram or your fkmail, all details need to be precise and clear. The reason of showing these details mean anyone in that platform are to read and understand the report. However there is some fk tart, co-worker who always think he is right and try his best to evade his mistake. When a senior management just advise the entire team as a whole to be careful with such reporting mistake, this particular fk tart will say that his email is correctly stated, his telegram is correctly stated, but always denied his whatsapp reporting mistake. This fk tart kept scolding the senior management for being personal. WTF? 😡 Seriously this type of work have to be sacked off from the employment. It is a toxic behavior. Scenario goes like this:

05 August 2022 2.30AM in whatsapp: Tomorrow morning 6am, I need you to deliver this gold bar to XYZ company.

From the above statement, when should you deliver this gold bar to XYZ?

A) 07 August 2022 6am   B) 06 August 2022 6am  C) 05 August 2022 6am  (D) OMG what a retard?

Lesson Learnt: A person should state information clearly. Regardless of when you message, always state the date and time correctly and be clear. 

TenderBest @ 126 Canberra Street

Decided to have western food for dinner. So I had dinner at TenderBest and from the menu, it sure looks great and went ahead to order the Crispy Skin Chicken Chop at SGD$9.90 and Bandung at SGD$1.80. Didn't I expect was the portion. Maybe if they use a smaller plate, it could get pass my remarks, but the portion is unfortunately too small for the price. Furthermore, Quality isn't that good as well, therefore they only got 4/10 from me. Bandung was dilated and I think some kopitiam drink had better ones. The only dish deserved probably is their Whole Spring Chicken. Oh well... 😠

Time to splurge on a Limited Edition Seiko after 3 years

First of all, thanks to the lady serving me at Seiko Boutique managed by City Chain at Takashimaya. I will highly recommend folks to visit this Seiko Boutique to hunt for your next watch. They have one of the largest collections of Seiko watches including Grand Seiko too ! Unfortunately at this time, they informed that the 1st batch shipment of the new budget GMT watches were sold out. I was aiming for one particular limited edition watch that was released in 2021, but were sold out at several outlet. So I grab hold of one of the City Chain branch in Bugis Junction to assist me to check out through their databases and found out that only a handful of stores had one left. I rushed there at Takashimaya and managed to get hold of one of it with a beautiful set of numbers out of the 5000 pieces worldwide. Whats best is that they were running a 30% off the retail price with a $10 Takashimaya cash voucher. Definitely a steal !

Yes, why stock up? For a low wage workers like me, we really need to learn to live frugality. Always getting the cheapest deals and make sure the product is worth every penny. Even the rich dudes are saving even better than us so that they can afford more stuffs. I see many are spending off their paycheck off every month and even planning for travel revenge. I felt worried for them even though this is the calm before the storm next year in 2023. As these products were able to last beyond 2024 and 2025, it help to cushion a little of my budget from the increase of GST in 2023 and 2024. Also remind myself to ensure that every squeeze of this Dettol is precious 😆 I said this before many times to most of the people I met, the same Dettol Body wash is sometimes more effective than your Chanel Coco Mademoiselle Foaming Shower Gel retailing at SGD80 for a small bottle. 😑 What for? 

The Original Boat Noodle @ Suntec City

The Original Boat Noodle @ Suntec City opened at 20 May 2022 at B1-148. They are famous for their cheap small bowl of SGD$1.50++ Boat Noodles. My colleague got the $1.50 boat noodles which had a soup base made from sweet dark soy sauce and various spices. I got tbe Kra-Pow Chicken Rice or often called Thai Basil chicken rice and Ice Thai Milk Tea. The Thai Basil chicken rice is truly one of the best i ever tried. The chicken is full of flavors which bring up the standard of the overall dish. The Ice Thai Milk Tea is also good and authentic that keep the aroma in the aftertaste. 😋

弄子里 Alley Wei @ Northpoint Part 1

Opening in April 2021 in Northpoint, as what the shop said, they sells traditional, freshly made Taiwanese/ Chinese street food favorites. So what we got here is the Pan-Fried dumpling, Soybean Milk and You Tiao. So their Soybean Milk is served in a bowl instead of a cup. The takeaway is in the cup form. So far, i like both the Soy Bean Milk and You Tiao alot. As for the Pan-Fried Dumpling, is so-so, but still pass the normal standard. 😋

Fish Price still OK if you prepare at home

Although fish prices had increase for so many years and sometimes shortage of supply, it is still reasonable to buy and cook it at home. Not as if to eat fish everyday, sometimes preparing and cooking fish like twice a week is still possible to get the necessary nutrients. Be it fried or steam, fish are easy to prepare. As what I compared, I think Sheng Siong had the best competitive cheap prices for their fishes. So don't deprive ourselves for having some fishes once in a while. Coming years will be difficult, but we will SURVIVE ! 👍 

Saizeriya @ Sembawang Shopping Centre Part 2

Before I start, you can referred to my first post on Saizeriya here. So I came back in 25 June 2022 and found out that Drink Bar had returned !!! 😆 But we came to eat and planned to have our drink elsewhere after this meal so we skipped the drink bar. So we came for a small bite. My wife ordered the Carbonara and Mushroom Soup while I ordered the Pepperoni Pizza. Both the Carbonara and Mushroom Soup was good. However, the Pepperoni Pizza was surprisingly good ! 😲 BUT it is very oily and salty, thats why it is good. 😈

Even Gardenia Bread is increasing price !

Just IN ! As you guys know that I had started to add the essential Item tracker on the right side column for your viewing pleasure. It seems that from August 2022, there were be another price increase being passed down to us consumers. Referencing from the cheapest enriched white bread that I buy and eat frequently, the cost is going to increase twice in a year. So from August 2022 onwards, the same white bread is going to cost us SGD2.20. If these essential items also increase, what do you think about the many other things we need to buy and stay alive? 

Its time to pull out one of my "reserve"

Its time to pull out one of my "reserve" to place into an even more defensive investment. Its not much, but its a decade of hard work, blood and sweat. Based on the past year, it was fluctuating like crazy just because of Covid-19. Due to the nature of my policy feeding on China and India funds, it had fluctuate at about 8% drop as compared to last year. Despite this, i am still profiting from a 11 years policy since I started working. When I take leave, it mean that I am doing something important and not shaking banana🍌 like many others. As my crazy plans are supposed to take place early next year, but seems that I am able to take it forward earlier to begin in November 2022. I would say that 2021 was the WORST year in 3 decades, mid-term review 2022 is more of the bitter sweet year and I will be squeezing more brutal and aggressive character in how I approach matters to recover and build up in all aspects of life. 

Throwback to my watch hunting back in 2019 in Hokkaido

Before getting my very first Seiko watch, i used to get Casio watches and Samsung smart watches. So when I was in Hokkaido, Japan for a 2 weeks trip during September 2019, I bought my first Seiko watch in a BIC Camera in Sapporo. Although I did not own one for many years, I had done some minor research on getting their JDM watches in Japan. I remembered spending at least one hour to look through their entire collections which they really showcased so many different models in their store. So i eventually chose Seiko Air Diver JDM [SBDJ017J] which is retailed at 38,795 yen. However, they had a 25% discount and provided my passport for a tax-free transaction. During 2019, the exchange rate was SGD$1 to 80 yen. When I asked the Japanese salesman, whether this is made in japan? He proudly mentioned that this is made in japan and kept saying Japanese products were made with high precision and had the best QC in place. In my heart, I had never doubt japanese workmanship in watch making. 😀 Till today, despite knocks and bumps, my Seiko Solar is still surviving strong ! With this, it is time for me to hunt for my next Seiko watch in SG. Will be aiming for an Limited Edition one this time. Stay Tuned ! 😂

This Putu Piring Stall at Chong Pang really hit the spot. Located at the corner of Swee Sian Yuen Eating House, i got the Gula Melaka Putu Piring at $1.50 for 3 pieces. It is sweet just right together with the hot steamed rice cake and the grated coconut. They also had many other different flavors and it definitely worth getting it for your snacks or small bites 😋 

Bullionstar SG - Looking at Silver & Gold

I am back to Bullionstar once again after about 2 years ago when I last came here. Went over with my "Silver" Expert colleague to check out some stuffs. Gold and Silver prices are at its rock bottom at this point of writing. Everything is looking so tempting today as compared to a few years back. Had a long discussion there and targeting to get a brick by end of the year. However, before leaving, we managed to grab the biggest gold bar there and gosh, it is damn heavy at 400 Oz Gold Bar. It is priced at S$980,000 at this point of writing. In addition, I had added another two javascript widget on the right bar for quick monitoring. Don't worry, my website don't run ads for now.

Shroom 'N Cheese Pockett Meal

Nowadays whenever KFC comes out something new, I will go and try it. 😅 So when they released Shroom 'N Cheese Pockett Meal, i ordered, but changed the damn potato wedges to Mashed Potato. Fortunately KFC had removed the potato wedges from their side menu already. However the main stuff, Shroom "N Cheese Pockett is really good. It contains the chicken, mayo, wrap, cheese and mushroom. The mushroom is really well made and really brings up the flavor. The only disappointing factor was the size. It is kinda not worth the value, but it does give the kick.

Ishiro Fusion Bowl Canberra [Part 1]

Once again, my place opened a new kopitiam stall called Ishiro Fusion Bowl last month. We ordered one bowl of Iberico Pork Bowl and one bowl of Mentaiko Salmon. Service and preparation time is acceptable. The Mentaiko Salmon was good, but the egg was still kinda raw and ice cold [probably they cook abit and place the egg into ice water]. Rice have the japanese rice texture so probably they might be using japanese rice. As for the Iberico Pork Bowl, think the meat is below average. Doesn't taste as good as the rest of the Iberico Pork bowl elsewhere. I will be coming back again for another try to determine whether it is because of their first few days of operation.

This is to debut my very first foldable phone from phone and tablet usage. Let's hope that I can preordered early without much hiccups, considering Samsung SG always have problems during their launch, be it minor or major 😒 SGD$80 is not much, but it is sufficient money to offset for my accessories or a much trusty case.

Enough said. Diablo Immortal is still popular regardless of how haters whack Blizzard. Blizzard and game companies were out to do a business while delivering gaming contents to the world. It is not an easy job and these games requires tons of money to develop and maintain them. Of course, we can't deny that those PayToWin (P2W) players will be able to play better in the "End Game". Even with money, sometimes it really depends on luck. Not necessary to get the best gears or equipment to ace the game. Overall, i think the game is well made and I truly enjoy the game as usual as a FreeToPlay (F2P) player. You still do enjoy the process and I felt that fellow gamers just relax lah. If other players want to pay money to advance better in the game, so be it. Peace Out 😉

Modern Mobile Game - Diablo Immortal really takes up space

Seems that Smartphone storage have to be at least 256GB as the new baseline storage. Having only 128GB storage space is quite a hassle to keep backing up your videos and photos on a separate storage. As you can see actually most of the permanent storage were on the Mobile Games installed in the device. Of course, Diablo Immortal which had finally launched in 2022 shows us that modern game storage are growing a lot and requires more processing power to run smoothly.

Before using iPhone 13 Pro Max, I was using iPhone 12 with 128GB of storage and that overall lifespan for me is to utilize its strong processor chipset purely for gaming. At the same time, was using it for a little testing on Content Creation. Using iCloud and paying for monthly subscription is definitely against my style. However I got to admit that it is a very good tool for backing up and transferring the files between iOS and PC.

Moving forward to 2022, I upgraded my iPhone 12 128GB to iPhone 13 Pro Max 256GB. With this, it solve both the storage problem and it allows me to shoot better videos and pictures for my content creation purpose. 

To be better manage the storage between iOS and PC for my editing work and data transfer, I got the SanDisk 128GB iXpand Flash Drive Luxe to work seamlessly with my transferring of files. This is to avoid using the "complicated" iTunes software to transfer or even screwed up by syncing unnecessary data between iTunes and iPhone.

In summary, do consider getting at least 256GB storage space for all your device, especially you are one who does not like to deal with data clutter. In fact, nobody like to clutter their data because whenever we need that data, it is unable to grab that necessary information. 😀
