Well, NDP set of Mr Bean had ended, but i think its really a good deal after all. Managed to try its new local Kaya Cheese and Kopi O Gao Pancake with its standard soya bean milk and soya beancurd. Think the new flavours still not to my liking. Best still goes to Mr Bean's KKH outlet which is offered in wholemeal and standard cheese flavour. Nevertheless, this NDP set is really filling !

Well it really depends. If it is for everyday food, it is indeed expensive. Secondly, there are many different qualities in how they were made. If it is very delicious, i don't mind, but from the looks from it, it certainly don't fit in with its price, value and quality.

Previously went to the same outlet and had their wings, but was not given wet tissue and tissue paper. This time it did when i ordered their JawBreaker Burgers ! Having this is essential because they do not have sink for us to wash our hands. Its a little pricey, but the burger does fill up my stomach. Fries not the best when i selected seaweed. But burger is not bad.

Maxwell Chicken Rice @ Canberra Plaza

Wanted to use CDC voucher to pay, but this stall is still newly opened. So not ready for that form of payment even the stall pasted the sticker. 😒 Anyways, chicken rice was ok. I added egg and add chicken meat. Total damage was $6.60, but even added meat and egg, portion still quite little. Really explained why things are really expensive now. Nothing special.

Wah lau eh, upcoming HDB BTO got pushed back. Was supposed and looking forward to end Aug announcement, so that i can see the next end November 2023 launch, now become the rest all got push backward. Seagate One Touch SSD 500GB

Based on the box, i was thinking that its going to be the same size like my 4TB HDD, but i was surprised at its very small size. It is smaller than my gopro hero 11 size. Tested the speed and it was fast. Got this as a free gift when buying 2TB HDD for my wife during the recent IT Show. It really serve my purpose of editing videos and temporary store large media files before transferring to the cold storage.

Randomly visited Fruce at Sun Plaza because tried Nine Fresh, Koi, Liho and Mr Coconut for far too many times. Although this is not my first time trying fruce, i think its my third time now trying this out. So we had ordered Taro Coconut and Coffee Nagoya Milk Tea. Taro Coconut is ok according to my wife, but i don't really like it. Coffee Nagoya Milk Tea had a little heavy taste in the Nagoya way but not towards the bitterness. Its around the thickness but light taste. Still prefer real coffee 😂

Yeah yeah McGriddles are back again. It is not new. However, i will like to say again. This should be made as a permanent menu so that i can eat this everyday !! I do hope it will come true !

Upgrade my Gate Epic 1st Gen to Epic Gen 6 !!

Upgrade my gate digital lock from the very first gen to the 6th Gen latest in the market. Burned around $500++ for my pocket. Reason is because my old digital lock is faulty after 6 years of usage and have no parts for repair. So no choice, but to change it. Amazingly, the guy who came to install was the one who also install for my first gen lock 6 years ago due to his signature within the wood piece. 😄 Sadly, he said he is going to resign soon as i told him maybe i will change mine 6 years later again. Oh well...

120 Canberra Crescent POSB ATM gone for good...

A little sad that POSB going to remove this 120 Canberra Crescent ATM machine. Something that i had been using for years ! Probably not enough transaction to begin with or simply want to cut maintenance cost. Either way, the extra perks of convienence is gone now. Had to resort to the nearby atm.

Zi Char really getting expensive in 2023

In the past, zi char used to be in $3 range and premium meat options like deer goes at $5. Now a simple fried rice costs $5, not to mention add an egg is $0.70 and need to also pay $0.20 for packaging too. Total is $5.90. Deer option probably goes at $7+. Next year, its going to cost even more and yet salary is hardly chasing up. Sigh.

Mr Coconut Mao Shan Wang Shake @ Northpoint

Tried the limited released Mr Coconut Mao Shan Wang Shake. $9.20 each cup is kinda expensive, but doesn't stop me from trying it since i am a durian and coconut lover ! The order took me 35 minutes for the drink to be made due to high number of queue. So i went to a nearby dessert store to have my dessert while waiting. It is real mao shan wang durian but think the coconut quality dropped. Sigh, so just for an experience.

MSN Messenger coming back to Windows 12?

With so many advanced chatting and messaging systems around the world, this is one possibility that Microsoft might bring back with a much powerful, yet nostalgic MSN Messenger. I guess many of those from the 70s, 80s and early 90s will remember this. It was effective but later being replaced with other system. Looking forward to Windows 12.

China First Open Source Desktop Operating System

China launches its first open-source desktop operating system as it moves to cut use of US tech. I personally welcome new tech from any country from any part of the world. Thats what innovation is about. Can't wait to try this from VMWare. Nowadays Windows 11 OEM license can be bought at a minimal fee. Hopefully it have good stuffs from open source.

Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan @ Bugis Kopitiam

Can't remember the store name, but they are located opposite Bugis Junction across the street where they have a kopi shop where they sell bak chou mee and cai fan inside. So inside, they had one taiwanese store selling Lu Rou Fan not open not long ago. Finally i tabao their set where i chose two sides, which is the corn and cabbage. Portion is big but its at around $10 with soup as well. Taste wise is not bad, but of course there were better one.

4 Fingers @ Vivocity

Well, the chicken over at 4 fingers are really good, however they are a little expensive for its small portion. This extra cheesy combo is good, cheese quality is good as well. Perfect way to handle their chickens are using four fingers, but they no longer provide glove or sink to wash hands, so i just use two fingers to eat them and wipe with my own tissue. So perhaps this store abit small, and hopefully they have sink for customers to wash hands.

Sushi Express Take Out Branch @ Canberra Plaza

After the last vendor of Korean Fried Rice is gone, this store space had been vacant for a long time. I am glad that someone finally come to open a store, however i would wish they can open a sushi express outlet upstairs at Level 2. But still a good choice as now i can takeaway fresh sushi as my lunch or dinner. I will definitely support them to let them stay rooted here and hopefully expand to a bigger store !

Scarlett Supermarket @ NorthPoint

Scarlett Supermarket is famous in China for its value snacks, drinks and food products. They had been in Singapore for quite some time as well. Think their marketing of their drinks from TikTok had been effective for me to go in and take a look. I was quite surprised that these products were very cheap and quality is quite good. Probably will stock up some of their products and see if any other stuffs were good as well.

Gochi-So Shoukudo @ NorthPoint City

Had eaten in their outlet at Novena Square several times, but first time having it at their Northpoint City branch. Ordered two sets of their 30% off Gochi-So Signature Iberico Loin Katsu set and i am impressed with their quality which is quite close to Saboten. Haha but of course for Loin Katsu, Saboten still my number 1 choice in SG. Both value and quantity is in the right mark. Only thing is they didnt grind or provide the grind for the sesame seed, but it is ok. Having it on a friday evening, so the wait is pretty long though.

Windows 11 next big update roll out !

Everytime we update windows, that it is just updating patches to patch security vulnerabilities. But this time, it will give more usable features that will be useful for everyone to use. This time, it is worth looking at the updates by Microsoft.

Affordable EV Car in Singapore?

Finally it launches in Singapore other than China. When we heard affordable, my eyes are on it now because of how expensive our COE are. Unfortunately, it is still selling at S$156,888 which is still very costly to own a EV car. But the car seems decent and had some "expensive" functions which are found in more expensive cars. Slowly we will be seeing the new budget cars in Singapore.

New WanPo Tea Shop @ NorthPoint City

As it is the new opening of the latest Wanpo Tea Store in Singapore, they are based in TaiChung, Taiwan. Been there for my whole wedding Photoshoot back in 2013 so i am quite familar with TaiChung. We tried their Wanpo Milk Tea and Purple Rice Taro Milk and they are giving 15% discount for opening special. However, for now, the only payment mode is via Paynow. So i tried and its good for me. Not bad, but if paid at full price, i felt that it is a little costly. As it is still in their early days, the waiting time for the drinks are quite long even when there are only 4 or 5 customers.

Greendot Bento

Greendot is sort of my number 1 FastFood version of vegetarian food. Having to pick my own dishes and the type of rice preferred. My personal favourite is still sesame oil rice together with one premium selection and regular selection. They also topped it up with a soup. However, it is quite expensive and definitely not an everyday goto meal for me.

61 Keys Teaching-Type Electronic Keyboard MK829

This particular model of 61 keys electronic piano keyboard had been around for many years. It is one of the most budget and yet practical use for practicing keyboard for all levels and age. Of course it is being more often for beginners. My daughter managed to press numbers to strike toto, so have to use the money to get her a new piano ! Time to practice first before letting her to explore the use of making good music. 😄

Davidoff Cool Water

Used this almost daily more than 10 years ago, but stopped 4 years ago. Of course Shopee can get it at about $3.20 cheaper than what i get physically. Just happened to see it again, so have to get it since nowadays always work for very long hours. Need to help freshen up. This is much better than the adidas one as this is also considered as the budget type. Hope quality is still the same.

New Lepak Corner @ Canberra

Residing at the old Zi Char place, now comes the Lepak One Corner. The whole place is new and clean, except for the entrance had some water leakage. Food wise, i guess need to improve. Eaten so many times of Mini Wok everywhere else, never once was "Zhao Ta" or burned. This totally ruined my soup and i could only eat the ingredients. Its quite costly as well. Noodles portion is a lot, but sauce need to improve. Fishball soup is a little salty. All the stalls including drinks stall are taking way too long for its system. Yet to condemn, will revisit some time later for improvement.

Mr Coconut Mao Shan Wang Shake !!!

Though its a little costly, but i definitely have to try it at least once !! One is heaty and another is cooling. Perfect blend ! Let me have a try one of these days and i shall give my personal comments whether it is worthy or not !

Sweet BBQ McSpicy and Cocoa Nut Pie

In summary for the new items from Mcdonald this time round for the Sweet BBQ McSpicy and Cocoa Nut Pie is good !! Love the sauce and Mcspicy combination as it really goes well together. Unfortunately, it is not available in double portion. As for the cocoa nut pie, it is definitely one of the best pie which i will rank 1st in all their pies so far.

Compose Coffee Korea No.1 Coffee Brand opening in Singapore

Finally another great coffee chain brewing in Singapore and this time at Suntec City. Just like i compose this post, they are called Compose Coffee. Can't wait to get my hands to run through their coffee menu 😍

Not only it is the largest cruise in the world, its also going pass Singapore too. Can't wait to book this when it is made available. By the way  the name of this cruise is Icon of the Seas which i had been eyeing on when they announced some time 2 years ago when they are already in the midst of building it !

Currently on sales at 3 for $32.20, which is also the same as "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion. My wife always get these massive packs and we will have rice + a few pieces of chicken, eggs and vegetable for a simple meal at home. But this deal not bad, so stocked up a bit.

Oh gosh! Ok the word is possibly, but i am sure that almost everything with chemical or processed food material will cause cancer also. It is not only possible, but when will it happen. Best is still take everything natural or with moderation. Life is short, so stay healthy !

Breakfast Sausage Bagel [McDonald]

Its out again for a limited time. So yeah, its isn't new. Redeem a free Breakfast Bagel with 750 Mcdonald points and couple with a Sausage Muffin Meal. Ate this while preparing for massive hard work, so i can work efficiently and also top up extra coffee after finishing a cup to drink while working. 🤣 Neat !

Malaysia Boleh Fried KL Hokkien Mee

This KL Hokkien Mee from Malaysia Boleh, is one of my wife's favourite and the price had since increased to $7 for the decent size. Actually $7 Large portion isn't large at all. It is just enough for one person portion. Taste is above average, but not the best lah. They even had to weigh the noodle before cooking it. Oh well, things sure isn't cheap nowadays. 😓

Bukit Canberra Polyclinic

Finally the polyclinic closed to my place is going to open by December 2023 this year. Easier for me to do my routine follow up as i had to always travelled down to Yishun Polyclinic to visit my doctors ! As it is nestled within the community facilities, i will be able to makan and walk back home. 😄

Last Day of Hanis Cafe at National Library

Today marks the last day of Hanis Cafe at National Library. I had wrote a few times while dining there. Their prices had increased way a lot and yet the quality of the food and drinks had not met my expectations. So its ok, shall wait for the next tenant to take over !
