Fold Durability Test are nonsense

Felt that sometimes these test are bullshit. I invested all the protection cases and screen guard. Utilizing less than 10000 times fold through my 10 months of usage and it had screen issues where Samsung Premium support had came to my house to fix it. Still have 1 more year extended warranty to last as i was hoping it can outlast 2 years of full usage.

Canberra Combo 105 is reopened after renovation !

This time we have better food choices. It is like a mini kopitiam spanning several different stalls selling its own stuffs. So we tried the both the Mee Rebus and Mee Siam as well as Butter Coffee and Kopi Peng (Iced). So far food is ok, but still got room for improvement. Butter Kopi was good as they really give a large slab of butter. Kopi Peng is ok. But place is clean and nice now. Hopefully it will stay this way

For Singapore Apple Fan Boy and Regular users 🤣, the online event will be held on 13 September at 1AM Singapore time. Time to see what magic will Apple be releasing and casting for long queues again. 😄 My bet is not much changes though.

Bringing my Dyson V10 for Maintenance

There's only two service centers in Singapore for Dyson. They are located at Capitol area and Jewel Changi Airport, so i brought it down to Changi Airport. I had used Dyson V10 for about 5 years now. Till one day, it happened that it cannot be charged. So we arranged an appointment, however the good thing is, they are able to assist me earlier than my appointment. And they were quick to identify the issue and provided me several options to fix this. Spent $30 to replace the charger and it is good to go. Might trade in next year to a latest model. Dyson indeed have very good products.

Finally ! HD videos on Whatsapp !

The long awaited HD videos sharing had rolled out on both iOS and Android platform ! It is indeed one of the most important functions which everyone enjoy, especially me who required to send multiple videos and image contents for both personal and work. Let's hope whatsapp will not remove this due to whatever reasons.

Regardless of which Presidential Candidate is elected, i enjoyed my snacks !

After a long night of watching closely who had been elected as the president of Singapore. I am glad that my votes goes to the elected President of Singapore. It was pretty obvious who will win in this presidential elections 2023. Regardless, i enjoyed my share of snacks in the evening while spending time with my family. Thats is the number 1 importance ! ☺

Wall Budget Ice Cream Promo

Well, in order to save money and have a little sweet tooth, time to time we will have to search for good deals. So we chanced upon this $4.80 per Ice Cream Tub and went on to buy 4 of them since there is a limit of how much we can buy. So far, if you got to compare with other branded ice cream. You can really taste the cheapness of the ingredient they used. However, it is still acceptable for me. I had ever tasted the worst one and threw away. But still can eat and enjoy for this. But of course for their original price of $9.50, i will definitely avoid buying this.

Bad Internet Connectivity underground in the MRT

Wah liao ! Thanks to the internet connectivity from Starhub and Simba, both cannot make it in the tunnels and kept disconnecting my Ranked Game from a winning battle to a losing one due to the drop of internet connection. Sigh, after so long from condemning 2G and soon 3G, 4G still unable to get connectivity throughout everywhere. Simba is much worst than Starhub though. Hope Starhub can improve this !

Durian McFlurry !!

Unfortunately, this D24 Durian McFlurry is happening only in Hong Kong. Wish it comes to Singapore ! Could be number 1 place of all McFlurry if it really happens here in Singapore. But who knows, there might be a chance. So we just need to be patient and wait for it.

Polling Card had arrived. I am ready to vote this upcoming 01 Sep 2023 Voting Day. Do it wise, consider twice so that cost of living will come down. Meanwhile, still munching on instant noodles to get by. Nowadays instant noodles doesn't come cheap as well. 

Wash your bottle daily?

Well, we all understand that bacteria will eventually build up in the same water bottle used to drink our water. Although people often say how often we actually clean our water bottle? For me, i wash them everyday. But the question is how effective we are washing them and what material is our water bottle? For me, i only wash by rinsing with tap water and force. After which, we just fill it up with filtered water and off we go. However, i do notice like there are some residue in the water though.

It had been out for quite some time in Singapore. However the queue are still long and they still limit people to get at maximum 10 pieces each queue per person. On top of 10 pieces, the popular de ring selections only can buy maximum of 4 pieces. I had spread out my orders to try out every single piece of donuts they offered. Currently selling at a promotional price of $23 per 10 pieces in a box. Will try it out and give my review. 🤣

Singapore Airlines beaten by Japan Airlines in 2023

Haha regardless what, i still love both SIA and Japan Airlines ! They are still both very good airlines and have a healthy compeition. Service wise, both are still top notch among all other airlines. 

Dinosaur McFlurry

Dinosaur McFlurry, well, i think this might probably be the worst Mcflurry of all other mcflurry. The ingredients used are quite disappointing and i could only taste the sweetness, nothing else. Best to avoid this. Furthermore paying $3.60 for this, isn't worth it.

SPAM Luncheon Meat Price Increase Again !!

Jialat liao ! SPAM Luncheon Meat Price Increase once again to $6.31 from the $5.95 range. This is even before the increase of GST next year and within a year, it actually increases multiple times yet my salary can't catch up with only one pathetic increment of 1 year interval. Sigh. This is a major problem. Costs and Expenses are rising faster each day.

Is Z Fold 5 really better?

Well i would say the tweak is really very minimal if you compare with the Z Fold 4. Being a Fold 4 user, i compare with my friends who recently got the Z Fold 5, its really hard to see the difference, not even saying physical improvement. Of course, it is easy to see that there is no point upgrading Fold 4 to Fold 5. But from a Fold 3 or Non-Fold users, i believe its still worth getting it.

Registration of ROM cert can now be taken online, no need to go down to sign physical documents. But seriously whats the point? If it is so troublesome, i don't understand what for getting married together? It is supposed to be two families' gathering to celebrate the good day together. Nowadays anyone can do so without families' presence. Sigh.. 

Finally ! SUSHI Gogo is opened at Canberra Plaza !

Finally a proper sushi chain is opened at Canberra Plaza. Will be one of the supporter to support it to make sure the business stays on for a very long time. It is a takeaway outlet, but i was hoping for a sit in restaurant for us to have hot green tea and enjoy the sushi. Hopefully it will be good.

Rechargable Batteries also gone bad within a year

This set of batteries only lasted me one year before going bad and hit with the red blinking error which indicates bad battery. So have to replace these batteries, although its 1 year, but i had only gone through 4 times of recharging. Oh well, think better to go back to traditional one use batteries !

Well, NDP set of Mr Bean had ended, but i think its really a good deal after all. Managed to try its new local Kaya Cheese and Kopi O Gao Pancake with its standard soya bean milk and soya beancurd. Think the new flavours still not to my liking. Best still goes to Mr Bean's KKH outlet which is offered in wholemeal and standard cheese flavour. Nevertheless, this NDP set is really filling !

Well it really depends. If it is for everyday food, it is indeed expensive. Secondly, there are many different qualities in how they were made. If it is very delicious, i don't mind, but from the looks from it, it certainly don't fit in with its price, value and quality.

Previously went to the same outlet and had their wings, but was not given wet tissue and tissue paper. This time it did when i ordered their JawBreaker Burgers ! Having this is essential because they do not have sink for us to wash our hands. Its a little pricey, but the burger does fill up my stomach. Fries not the best when i selected seaweed. But burger is not bad.

Wanted to use CDC voucher to pay, but this stall is still newly opened. So not ready for that form of payment even the stall pasted the sticker. 😒 Anyways, chicken rice was ok. I added egg and add chicken meat. Total damage was $6.60, but even added meat and egg, portion still quite little. Really explained why things are really expensive now. Nothing special.

Seagate One Touch SSD 500GB

Based on the box, i was thinking that its going to be the same size like my 4TB HDD, but i was surprised at its very small size. It is smaller than my gopro hero 11 size. Tested the speed and it was fast. Got this as a free gift when buying 2TB HDD for my wife during the recent IT Show. It really serve my purpose of editing videos and temporary store large media files before transferring to the cold storage.

Randomly visited Fruce at Sun Plaza because tried Nine Fresh, Koi, Liho and Mr Coconut for far too many times. Although this is not my first time trying fruce, i think its my third time now trying this out. So we had ordered Taro Coconut and Coffee Nagoya Milk Tea. Taro Coconut is ok according to my wife, but i don't really like it. Coffee Nagoya Milk Tea had a little heavy taste in the Nagoya way but not towards the bitterness. Its around the thickness but light taste. Still prefer real coffee 😂

Yeah yeah McGriddles are back again. It is not new. However, i will like to say again. This should be made as a permanent menu so that i can eat this everyday !! I do hope it will come true !

Upgrade my Gate Epic 1st Gen to Epic Gen 6 !!

Upgrade my gate digital lock from the very first gen to the 6th Gen latest in the market. Burned around $500++ for my pocket. Reason is because my old digital lock is faulty after 6 years of usage and have no parts for repair. So no choice, but to change it. Amazingly, the guy who came to install was the one who also install for my first gen lock 6 years ago due to his signature within the wood piece. 😄 Sadly, he said he is going to resign soon as i told him maybe i will change mine 6 years later again. Oh well...

120 Canberra Crescent POSB ATM gone for good...

A little sad that POSB going to remove this 120 Canberra Crescent ATM machine. Something that i had been using for years ! Probably not enough transaction to begin with or simply want to cut maintenance cost. Either way, the extra perks of convienence is gone now. Had to resort to the nearby atm.

Zi Char really getting expensive in 2023

In the past, zi char used to be in $3 range and premium meat options like deer goes at $5. Now a simple fried rice costs $5, not to mention add an egg is $0.70 and need to also pay $0.20 for packaging too. Total is $5.90. Deer option probably goes at $7+. Next year, its going to cost even more and yet salary is hardly chasing up. Sigh.

Mr Coconut Mao Shan Wang Shake @ Northpoint

Tried the limited released Mr Coconut Mao Shan Wang Shake. $9.20 each cup is kinda expensive, but doesn't stop me from trying it since i am a durian and coconut lover ! The order took me 35 minutes for the drink to be made due to high number of queue. So i went to a nearby dessert store to have my dessert while waiting. It is real mao shan wang durian but think the coconut quality dropped. Sigh, so just for an experience.

MSN Messenger coming back to Windows 12?

With so many advanced chatting and messaging systems around the world, this is one possibility that Microsoft might bring back with a much powerful, yet nostalgic MSN Messenger. I guess many of those from the 70s, 80s and early 90s will remember this. It was effective but later being replaced with other system. Looking forward to Windows 12.

China First Open Source Desktop Operating System

China launches its first open-source desktop operating system as it moves to cut use of US tech. I personally welcome new tech from any country from any part of the world. Thats what innovation is about. Can't wait to try this from VMWare. Nowadays Windows 11 OEM license can be bought at a minimal fee. Hopefully it have good stuffs from open source.

Taiwanese Lu Rou Fan @ Bugis Kopitiam

Can't remember the store name, but they are located opposite Bugis Junction across the street where they have a kopi shop where they sell bak chou mee and cai fan inside. So inside, they had one taiwanese store selling Lu Rou Fan not open not long ago. Finally i tabao their set where i chose two sides, which is the corn and cabbage. Portion is big but its at around $10 with soup as well. Taste wise is not bad, but of course there were better one.

4 Fingers @ Vivocity

Well, the chicken over at 4 fingers are really good, however they are a little expensive for its small portion. This extra cheesy combo is good, cheese quality is good as well. Perfect way to handle their chickens are using four fingers, but they no longer provide glove or sink to wash hands, so i just use two fingers to eat them and wipe with my own tissue. So perhaps this store abit small, and hopefully they have sink for customers to wash hands.

Sushi Express Take Out Branch @ Canberra Plaza

After the last vendor of Korean Fried Rice is gone, this store space had been vacant for a long time. I am glad that someone finally come to open a store, however i would wish they can open a sushi express outlet upstairs at Level 2. But still a good choice as now i can takeaway fresh sushi as my lunch or dinner. I will definitely support them to let them stay rooted here and hopefully expand to a bigger store !
