Damn, i think i spent too much in 2023 Shoppe Platinum

Spent too much in Shopee and attained Platinum status in 2023. In addition to several discount vouchers, they also provided me many deals and premium support whenever i have issues using Shopee platform. Well, not proud but at least there is additional benefits for me to get the big ticket items at additional discounts before the next GST rise next year !

Wow, now people can actually buy a residential condo unit in a cruise ship. The cruise ship will further let the travellers live at sea while it sails around the world every 3.5 years. What we can foresee is most elderly folks will just wanna wander across the world and enjoy the world before leaving. Well, at least now people have more choice on how they want to spend or live their remaining lives.

F&N Magnolia Hello Kitty Ice Cream

Without the Hello Kitty, F&N Magnolia Ice cream is actually quite cheap. But with the Hello Kitty branding and of course the free gift that my wife wanted it, is very expensive. If you buy one box, it costs more than $15. But in order to get the free gift, you will need to buy two boxes. So concurrently, there is a promo to get two boxes at $25 at selected stores. Yet to try so never comment much, but the free gift is actually quite nice lah.

Macdonald Ninja Burger [Chicken]

Tried the Ninja Chicken Burger because there was a good deal. Found that Ninja Chicken Burger is ok, at least its a lot better than Nasi Lemak Burger though. But actually i think the Seaweed Shaker really does enhance the flavour of the Fries. 😁

D'Laksa in SG??

Wow didn't imagine that this can also be found in SG. Normally i see them at multiple locations in JB. But after reading the comments, other folks did mentioned that they was at Tampines previously. But well, extra option to have their laksa here, though i don't really like sour type.

Tuck Shop App closing down on 06 December 2023

I had a tuckshop app ever since Yishun Park Hawker Centre was opened several years back. It seems that they will cease the app service and transit to Timbre App on 06 December 2023. Just to take note for those who are still using and have credits. Be sure to clear them first.

Each a Cup - Still my favourite since early 2000s

Still my favourite choice of bubble tea. However, i only order that one and only Cranberry Apple Fruit Tea. Drinking from Singapore and Malaysia. Even have a thought of getting their franchise. But i am glad they are still around and continue supporting them.

Need to supply my own Monitor and furniture shelf in office

Haiya, sad that my office cannot provide sufficient display and spaces in the stupid space allocated. However, at least i'm able to bring my own cost to enhance my office space into a productive workstation now. Guess most things have to depend on ourselves and don't expect selfish people to provide you stuff.

The general public just can't have good things. They don't deserve it. With such child doing such things just show that their parents were equally useless and have poor upbringing. It takes every single person to take care of things. One rotten person will spoil the good stuffs of many others. Oh well ! This is our society unfortunately.

Well according to Goody Feed and Singaspore Dietician, wholemead bread isn't as healthy as it is. In fact it is equal to taking instant noodles and sausages. So experts recommend whole grain bread which is the healthier version. Ok take note. 😊

Flash Coffee Closed Down on 13 Oct 2023. This was really sudden. I just had one last week at Expo. With promotion, their drinks are still ok. If getting at original price, its quite costly for its quality. Not all drinks are good, but some are quite ok. There goes all my points in the Flash Coffee app. Time for many other competitors ! 

Fairmont Asian Market Cafe Buffet

Came to enjoy its 50% off Lunch Buffet at Fairmont Asian Market Cafe Buffet. After all the service charge and GST, each person costs SGD$50 to have a good spread of food. For me, I had many rounds of raw Salmon, Prawns, crab and durian. The rest are just trying it for fun. Just having multiple rounds of my favourite dishes were enough to make up with the price. Both dining and services were very good. It can be considered one of the best buffet in terms of both value and quality. Of course, at this time of posting, it should be only running at 30% promotion towards the end of the year. Hence, really recommend this !

Disagea 7 Vows of the Virtueless Pricing

As usual, I am a Disgaea fanboy and will likely purchased it either this year or next year. I think so far, I only bought Disagea 1 and Disagea 5 at full launch price before. The rest i got it with discounts at a later time. I guess this time round, i will wait for a while for the price to come down. Probably by then, Ultimate or Deluxe Edition might be price so much lower. But I am thinking whether to get the Steam version or Nintendo Switch version. Well let's see which platform will be cheaper and I'll get it accordingly.

Together with my other Collection Notes, just need to keep it in the safe to wait for changes or touch it from time to time. 

Unfamous Update for iPhone 15 Pro :/

Anyway, based on Apple explained, it will not reduce performance. Someone actually tried to do one performance test before and after the update. I had also updated mine. So far so good on the performance after the update, but definitely don't felt any heat on the iPhone. So seems that it really does solve the problem. Shall monitor further.

Singapore Post raising postage rate with effect of 09 October 2023

Raising cost once again. Sorry folks that I had to factor in the cost increase of mailing items to you. However, the reason they gave not reasonable though to some extend. Till date, despite paying postage, items are still wrongly delivered to different units and different blocks.. Standard is getting more and more worst. No doubt that there is declining overall mail volume, but still postman were not doing a proper job in terms of accuracy and speed. 31 cents to 51 cents is a whopping 65% increase. Way faster than my salary increment.

Change to iPhone 15 Pro

Apparently, I got poisoned to go into iPhone 15 Pro as well. Went to Red White Mobile as usual to buy it at a cheaper rate as compared from Apple Store. Since I had not placed any order for my new phone accessories, i might as well got the Tempered Glass for front screen and camera lens, and the case first. Time to enjoy my new iPhone 15 Pro !!

Monsgeek Mechanical Keyboard

After large amount of time for research and visiting nasty mechanical keyboard store in Sim Lim Square, i had decided to order this Monsgeek Mechanical Keyboard alongside with Akko Clear Keycaps Set version 2 and Mash Yellow Silent and Linear Switches. It took less than 3 days for Shopee to deliver to my house. Getting my expert colleague to provide some tips or improvement tricks to further improve the whole building experience. Probably my last expensive toy in 2023 as it just burnt around SGD$200++ for the overall package.

Lab-grown pork for human consumption

Lab-grown pork will soon be available next year in Singapore for all to eat. Wonder if it will be mentioned in the packaging, but maybe hawker will start using these pork in their dishes. We might not be able to realise that it is from lab-grown as the taste might probably be the same too. Enjoy while it lasts for our natural farm pork. 🐷

Water Price is going to increase again by 18% in 2 phases from 01 April 2024 due to rising costs. Well, I was right to forecast this is happening since 10 years ago. No amount is going to help us in terms of living cost in the long run. The finanical support is only short term solution while they are buying big houses and have sky rocket salaries. That is precisely why i had done some drastic measures recently.

This only prove that Apple wants its iPhone 15 Pro range to dominate in the gaming market as well. I agree what Apple is doing there and so far track record shows that even the last generation of chipset is able to outperform in the intensive mobile gaming. Take a look at the Mobile Legends world championships, Clash of Clans or Clash Royale, all of them are using Apple to compete in the gaming competitions.

NFT is totally worthless as in Sep 2023. I feel very sad for those who actually paid quite a hefty sum of money towards these NFT and think that it will be worth a lot of money in future. Now it is an irritating piece of art that in fact give us learnt an important lesson.

I'm very much more exciting to see mini pasar malam at a small heartland than in a big heartland. Although its now slightly on a pricer side, its quiet and less crowded. More enjoyable at a small township.

Having kept many special edition currencies and coins. At one point, i was thinking whether is it really legal tender? Well according to MAS, it is ! However, these special coins and currency normally worth much more than its face value. So pretty interesting that someone did tried it. People will not accept because not everyone knows it. Thats pretty much the reason.

To be frank, not everyone is ready for foldable phones. Hence its a little difficult to predict 5% global market share by 2027. I still flip phones are just gimmicks, fold devices are more useful in most case. But of course, price is also a concern. Target will be met pretty easily if price of fold devices are cheaper.

Nespresso Essenza Mini

Bought and subscribe to their $1 subscription plan. Got the bundled set for $48 per month to save from my frequent outdoor coffee. Coffee in Singapore are really getting more and more expensive. With this, i am actually spending lesser for more quality coffee. Got the All Time Favourite bundle as well, to quickly explore all the various brews to calibrate to my usual capsules. After testing out for the past week, so far, i am enjoying it so much and even bring out coffee in my thermal flask to work.

Salted Caramel Apple Cheesecake is something different to try other than Good Old Cheese Cake. But the base cheesecake seems the same. Its more of the salted caramel and chunks of apple in it. Currently at SGD$7.90. Still good to enjoy with my own brewed coffee.

  

JolliBee 3 Piece Chicken Meal

Haha really attempted many times on the brown gravy, but really not to my liking. My colleague told me that it is actually chicken liver. So i am thinking ohhh no wonder, tasted so weird.🤣 Anyway, the fried chicken i will agree that it is nice and well marinated. Just that price is a little high due to cost of living and portion is quite small for its price. Seems that everywhere is almost the same. 

5G had been upgraded for all Simba SIM coverage

While i am roving across Singapore during the weekends from my job, i also realised that my Samsung Z Fold 4 was accessing to 5G network. However, it is only at certain towns or places. For example, my house area only can get 4G network. However, while using 5G at a specific work place, although it is on 5G, it is not getting the desired speed. So i don't really care since i am still paying the same monthly $10.

Tabao Jumbo Seafood Restaurant

Normally i would had having these food at the restaurant itself. But because we were busy with the little one, my parents ordered takeaways from Jumbo Seafood, the award winning Chilli Crab with other dishes. The chilli crab was undoubtedly best ! Just that portion abit little haha, best to have it at the restaurant itself.

Hotel Hygiene damn important lar !

Regardless of whether you are a very luxury restaurant or well known restaurant, food hygiene is very important lar. It is the people lives of you and me. Rating down, if the price is low, people will still come to eat la. Not sure what, but most likely is the cause of the people who prepare.

Problem is the credits really is not enough. Most of the professional courses far exceed the value. I myself used it to learn a new skill. But now, i want to learn something else, credits are not enough and have to fork out thousands of dollars extra in order to learn. But thats just one part of a problem, many of us are still managing with cost of living and house chores. No time and no money unfortunately.

Need a coffee to shorten the work !

I Love espresso especially Starbucks one. Tend to brew at home for a nice cup of coffee. But due to the fact of my busy schedules at work, its getting difficult to prepare my cup of coffee in the morning. I'm currently looking at Nespresso range of capsule coffee. Will go down to take a few samples before I subscribe to their $1 machine service.

Finally something nice and have class. Wonder should I spent S$9.98 on this game which i had spent several years on this. Shall decide for the next 10 days to see if i will be sick of this skin to see it everyday. Had not spent a single cent yet on this game at all.
