Milo Truck at National Library

Believed there were some events going on, but at least i'm able to have two good cups of Milo. Reminds the moment during my primary school sports event, the school often hire Milo Truck to provide milo. I can still remember the old times' Milo. But today, the milo is of different taste. Less sweet and somehow less milky. But still appreciate it. 😀

So many violent issues lately in Singapore

More and more violent crimes with the younger generations. They are like becoming more and more violent when they are angry. Worst still, some do it without emotion and anyhow assaulting random folks. But for Ryan Lian case, i believed many people wants to know the intention of this. Every assault, we really need to know and to know how to stay away from all these madness. Best is to stay home.

Pezzo Malaysia

Pezzo in JB is very popular amongst those who bring into Singapore. Pezzo is also available in Singapore, but most just buy back from JB to SG for only one simple reason. That is the price. The taste is really not bad. I bought three slices at only RM23.20 [SGD7] as of this posting date. Furthermore, it is considered big slice. I'm able to finish three slices by myself and i am already very full. So needless to say, many people already buying it and there's actually two outlets just at City Square and CIQ area.

Mcdonald Potato Pop

Basically its just hash brown, but in little clunk bit. This potato pop somehow tasted a little different than hash brown though. But the portion is not bad besides adding $1 more to the regular set. Worth trying.

[Clash of Clan] The new release of Townhall 17 !

Finally ! The new launch of Clash of Clan TownHall 17. As of current, due to their speed up event, i might be reaching my Townhall upgrade to TownHall 16 soon. As a good practice, i will need to fully upgrade all Townhall 15 upgrades including troops and Wall to max first. With Townhall 17 launching, mean that if i fight against Townhall 17 as a 15 or 16 base, i will get more resources, but definitely not an easy task.

Mixue Ice Cream Price Increase

As i was having this ice cream at $1 last week at City Hall MRT, now Mixue is increasing the price for the same thing. As of today, the ice cream is selling at $1.50. But well, $1.50 is acceptable as the cone and content is still quite good for its price. At $1, its really affordable. At least the portion is better than Mcdonald. 😁

Mayver's VS Scoop Peanut Butter Verdict

I bought Mayver's Crunchy Peanut Butter at Melbourne Supermarket during my trip there. Really a big jar and cheap. Then Scoop Crunchy Peanut Butter which i bought from Singapore Scoop at Punggol. Scoop one isn't really crunchy as the peanut were lke fine grain. But Mayver ones is really in irregular size and crunchy and yet the taste is much more heavier. Takes me 3 months to finish up the Mayver's. Scoop taste is quite light which local skippy is much better.

Starhub could acquire M1 by June 2025

As the title goes, Starhub could be acquiring M1 by June 2025. Well with so many competitors, it is no wonder they are combining together. But honestly, Starhub isn't doing very well either. My 6 years of holding Starhub stocks had been falling like crazy. But deep down, i hope Starhub will succeed as i had been Starhub's loyal customers for more than 2 decades. Support Local !

Technology are indeed smarter than human beings...

As modern time comes, better and efficient technologies are almost at every spot. Many of these machines have their own CCTV or sensors. But even without it, i am sure the area has CCTV around the building to cover these machines from being abused. So now comes the golden topic, newer gens are becoming more terrible and they only think that they are smart to get what they want, but didn't think of the consequences. Just because of the dumb Labubu dolls and they resort to doing this. This is plain stupidity and i felt that their parents did not really teach them well. I wonder how is the future is like when relying on them.

Casio Ring or Smart Ring?

LOL ! Totally not for me. Casio selling this for SGD$178++ is crazy. Too much digital devices is a hassle and power hungry. For me, i already felt watches' screen are too small. Now a ring that have a display is totally unacceptable lah. How to see the time. Even can see, it looks bulky for your finger. I felt that its isn't practical. 

[Nespresso Series] Almond Croissant Coffee

Its a mug formula which can be brewed and drank on its own at 230ml. By itself, its good, but from the way to describe, almond taste is much noticeable than crossiant flavour. I tried to mixed it with both hot and cold milk, taste good as well. Then comes the almond croissant with vanilla syrup and iced coffee, taste ok maybe due to the vanilla syrup used. Recommended for those who wants to try this but its out for a limited time only.

Singapore X China must always be in good relations !

Citizens to People problems in this world are bound to have, but Country to Country relation must always be good to each other. At the very minimum, Largest Trade between both China and Singapore must be unchanged. This will ensure both countries benefits each other. China is still be significant in many decades to come. Let's also hope that US and Russia can maintain good relation as well as China and US.

American TapRoom at Waterloo

They really have large range of beer or mixture of drinks. Even on a Friday, they have 15% happy hour on the large cup. Food were not bad as well. Since it have a rating of more than 4+/5 in google rating, i felt abit relieved to visit this place. Although i didn't try the burgers as i couldn't take beef, but the BBQ Bacon Thin Crust Pizza is great. I was expecting microwave quality, but it isn't. Its not bad and the place isn't crowded. So okay to visit if you just want a simple place to chill by.

Classic RTS Warcraft and Warcraft 2 Remastered Edition it OUT

Finally, a new classic is out for both Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2. Warcraft 3 Remastered was out for many years now. As of now, they released Remastered editions for Warcraft 1 and Warcraft 2 for newer players to experience the classic RTS games in a much better graphics. While we so much wanted them to come out with newer Warcraft 4, but let's enjoy what we have at the moment. Even myself, i played the old Warcraft 3 much more than the older ones and it is way overdue by now.

Minimum Wage for Malaysian Worker, BUT increasing Cost

It is always a popular ideal to increase the minimum wage for workers. But on a side note, increasing overall costs of food and drinks are unpopular. Hopefully, they really does implement for all those workers as they really need to have proper salaries. Cost of living is growing. But because of raising their minimum wage, and use the reason for increasing foods and drinks to pass on to consumers is not the full solution lah. Hope the government can do something better to help the people rather than increasing expenses as prices were high enough already.

Jubilee's Nanyang Coffee at RNF Mall

It was just relocated to RNF Mall, but i had been finding the place from google maps. I was lead to nowhere 😅. So walk another way to get to the correct place for our breakfast. Had Nasi Lemak, American breakfast and three different drinks because it was very hot and had been carrying my daughter throughout. Recommended by my wife to come try their breakfast. Many things wasn't on the menu where my wife wanted to eat their thunder tea rice. But upon arrival, they do not have it. Well tried the food, wasn't very good to be frank. Drinks were just all right. Probably gave an overall 4/10 for this.

Haha i thought they had been adopting wait-and-see approach for the past decades hahaha. Ok joke asides, many countries are also waiting because power not fully handed over to Trump at this point of time. But he had already made many moves. Well i do hope for world peace and keep free trade open to truly benefit the people worldwide. 

Xiang Mei Roasted Meat Rice

Wow, after not eating here for more than 8 years, happened that i am on the way to buy my daughter's school uniform, i pass by to have Xiang Mei Roasted Meat Rice. I am surprised that they are still surviving here similarly for the malay chicken rice stall. Used to work at Bukit Batok for 2 years and had most of my lunch here. Their portion still great and so is their price. It is good and you seldom see other stall include a big bowl of solid soup which was included in the price. I guess most people still support them and i will visit again when i dropped by again.

Well, whatever they say, people will be able to change the whole situation. Well as my own personal view, i hope US will prosper as the world is kind of imbalance now. I believe Donald Trump will do a good job in maintaining world order. Meanwhile, just invest in both silver and gold.

End of an era for Lim's Holland Village

Nowadays, times have changed. We can no longer have special shops to source for unique things. The new age is about practical and more budget friendly stuffs. Hence consumers' market had changed. Most shops and house decoration are very common nowadays where one can immediately identified where that item is purchased from. Not only that, many furnitures, people are also sourcing from online cheaper source to ship in from overseas. To make the problem worst, these shops have to bear the high rental rates every month and many incurred losses when venturing into small businesses. Sigh such is the reality in Singapore.

Retirement of Disney Pixel RPG

Today will retire Disney Pixel RPG due to the fact that i am unable to advance further to boss stage. My team is already on max level, but still can barely win the stage. Had tried to find a few guide but none is working at all. To be frank, it is a very difficult game. I think its Paid to Win even for PVE content which is amusing. Suggest don't waste your time playing this.

Job Market in Singapore 2024

Had been on a lookout for jobs for the past 3 months and yeah i agree with this person. Most of the job offers really ask for a lot of responsibilities, but paid little. To them, someone somehow will eventually accept and they will benefit from it. So will need to continue finding better jobs. We as employees do not have a choice. 🫤

With the tabao cost of $0.30, my porridge from here costs $7.10. What do you think if it is expensive or not? I ordered the Batang Fish Porridge, but in terms of quantity, it is really little. But so far the fish is adequate and taste is OK. I felt that it is quite expensive because of the portion. So can't eat this everyday 😐

Monin Vanilla Syrup

Bought this from Shopee and i can say they really do packed in a big box with many foam to cushion the bottle. Also the bottle is wrapped with many layers of bubble plastic. I hear many good reviews that this is nice for making Iced Latte. I bought it for SGD$18.16 at this point of posting. If its good, will get more as its expiry date is acceptable too.

Wechat Scam are irritating !

Damn ! I'm getting lots of scam calls lately. It is the same scam tactic as mentioned above. But they kept using different phone number to call me using Singapore Phone number. The problem is i didn't even downloaded wechat into my phone. But yet said that i subscribed to their services... 🤨 All i could do is to not answer the call and ignore it. Sigh. Now u know why the world is not simple?

KFC Malaysia Price and Quality Review 2024

One thing i can agree for Malaysia KFC is, it is cheaper than what i bought KFC in Singapore. Nuggets is definitely better than Singapore. However, the 3 pieces chicken, i think Singapore is so much better in terms of quality. I used to think that Malaysia Chicken is better, but isn't exactly right in terms of KFC. The butterscrotch Bun which is no longer served in Singapore but in Malaysia had dropped in terms of quality as well. I'm not sure if it is specific to this branch in JB CIQ, but they should be the same boss as Singapore's ones leh.

Bitcoin Miner Game From Legit Google Playstore

Came across this Bitcoin Miner game ads for the past 3 months and can really mine and play the game to exchange for real money seems great ! Further exploration that this game can be downloaded from the official Google Play Store. Seems safe right? But apparently, it isn't. The moment i downloaded and play it. I felt the addiction factor, but i started to receive weird sms from Touch N Go SMS which i did not registered on this phone line. My Touch N Go was reigstered on another phone with that Line. Something really fishy but its okay because its less than RM3.00. So yeah, i went to uninstall this app and feel that i should warn others.

Nespresso Vertuo Plus Premium Titian Edition

Finally got my Vertuo Plus Premium Titian as I had been using Original Essenza Mini with limited Red Edition for the past 1 year. And now this new Vertuo edition allows me access to their vertuo ranged capsules which are larger in quantity and have a little difference in the taste as compared to the original ones. Now i am able to make a bigger cup which is much more logical than using two original capsules to make one large cup. This in terms save me more money but served the same purpose of making a consistent and yet fast coffee in the morning for work.

Haru Haru Premium Pork Katsu Don

This time, i try their Haru Haru Premium Pork Katsu Don, but requested miso sauce instead of their Mentaiko. Aiya still the same, the sauce taste way too heavy and overwrite the meat and rice taste. The rest are good. Next time will try it without sauce to see if it is good. Too bad, without the sauce, they isn't going to charge me cheaper. 😅

Snacks from Italy

Thanks to my brother for bringing back snacks from Italy. Its really good and didn't really see these brands in Singapore. Although have similar cookies, but pistacchio one is amazing. Not the M&M, that one, i bought in NTUC for $1 😁

Indonesians must pay tax if they buy iPhone 16 overseas

Haha just because Apple do not want to set up factory in Indonesia to make the iPhone 16, Indonesia set the requirement that 40% of the parts must manufacture locally. Nowadays doing business with countries are becoming more and more difficult. I understand Indonesia Point of View. Everyone or every country also want to have a pie to it. Just too bad that now they made it like Apple owe them and countryman are suffering additional taxes. 😐

Monster Hunter Wilds Open Beta Test

Information of the respective platform as indicated above. But since i do not have Playstation 5, I'm talking more about Steam. At least it is fruitful as i can test on my Desktop PC, Gaming Laptop and also Steam Deck to see the difference in the performance. But i highly doubt that i need greater specs in order to play as my gaming laptop is using RTX4060. Perhaps my thought is with the Steam Deck, it may struggle, but can play around with the boosted settings. Hopefully the game is a good one as this will be my first hands on gameplay with Monster Hunter Wilds 😉

Redmagic Ultra - The Breakthough of 7.5 inch Screen !

Finally RedMagic is releasing something that i had waited for the longest time. A 7.5 inch Flagship Smartphone. In the older days, screen that exceeded 7 inch are usually mid tier released by Samsung. Its really lousy. So if this is a powerful specs built into a 7.5 inch screen, i would say this is something special and i will want to get it. As i am currently  using Fold 5 which can b3 unfold into a 7.6 inch inner screen, i want something big that i can access instantly and less folding parts. Can't wait for the official announcement soon.

Red Ginger at Causeway Point

Tabao the Mee Rebus with Satay and Mee Siam with Otah. Both set is S$6.90 each. Packaging is good. But think not as good leh. Probably gave 5/10. Maybe the Nasi Padang is the real deal. Located in the shopping center, so i think need to bring down the expectation of the cost. Nasi Padang can be very experience if you select the expensive ingredients. So perhaps will try the Nasi Padang and skipped their Mee Siam and Mee Rubus. 🤷‍♂️

Still a collector of both Silver + Gold

Not being someone who wear those wearable gold or silver chain, but I love to collect particularly in pure Silver or Gold bar or coins. I will purposely goes with different designs, but either getting 1 troy ounce silver or 1g to 5g gold. Just chanced upon one of the jewellery shop where there are many people and a banner showing that they sell bar and coins. So went in to take a look. Eventually just bought one of the KL Tower Gold bar since it is unique to Malaysia.

With Snapdragon 8 Elite officially announced, most smartphone makers are also announcing that this latest chip is going to be released into their next flagship devices. I had no doubt that the chip is able to work faster, better and more efficient. But what are the apps we are actually utilizing? Some AI apps and everything will be as usual. But still good, if phone makers can implement new innovative features rather than just relying on new hardware component.

KSL middle Durian Store

This time, i tried another store apart from my original store on the current season butter durian + Black Thorn durian. At RM110 for these three boxes, i will say that it is quite expensive. But after seeing how we eat 😁, they gave us extra two more boxes of butter durians free. I can say only one of the black thorn seems ok, but two other flesh is watery and is not good. As for the butter durian, it is just normal and isn't what they proclaim to be "melt in the mouth" type. But at least i am full because of the durians. Not all durian stores sells the good durians. 😐
 

Steam Deck will not have annual releases

Yes and they will hold on Steam Deck 2 until a generation leap in compute performance. I mean this is a sensible change and stragety. As a gamer, i prefer big changes instead of annual newer releases of minor update, not even worth of an upgrade.

Thats why silver is going to be in demand, especially for the common folks. Silver is much easier to acquire, and prices are going up. Ever since i started investing in Silver in 2022, prices had gone up around SGD$10 to SGD$20 more for today's silver prices. The only thing i don't like about silver is that they will tend to be less beautiful over time due to oxidization making it becoming black. But pure silver will remain, but might affect those that have specific designs to them. Because of this news, i am still going to accumulate both silver and gold for investment.

Legend of Mushroom Arena Ranking

After playing for a while, i'm glad that i am possible to attained 1st Place in the arena at my level where i only started not long ago. Actually this game is a grinding game that i feel its fun but still need to spend at least total 1 hour into it each day. Of course, it had to be several intervals though. I also recently spent all the gems and resources onto the mount. Thought that i will go far, but even with 300k gems only level up to the next mount only. Meaning that it is going to be a very long grind.

Isn't it too early to say that it plan to open its first Chick-Fil-A in Singapore by late 2025. I do welcome burgers because i like it. Had never tried this brand of burgers before since i only travelled in Asia and they had never started in Asia. Well at this point, i need to keep my hopes up and wait to try it once they are launched. 😀

Tree of Savior | Trying this for the first time

Somehow the advertisement finally caught my attention on this game and was reading through what the developer and designer had done to this game. First impression - It was great and pretty to start with. But what surprises me is the first time i got to experience Cantonese speaking MMORPG. Just wow ! As i am of cantonese background, this game really is special. They stick to the origin instead of the typical Japanese or Korean voice. Maybe i might go into this game for a while and see if it is worthwhile to go long term.

At $5 a bowl of Thunder Tea Rice + Soup at Toa Payoh West Market, it is a very generous portion. My wife saw this and went to order it. Although its not perfect, but she said that it is 6/10. Special mention is really the portion. It is one of the largest portion so far for its price. So recommend as a simple daily food.

There are pretty lots of useful extension on Chrome to help up with configuring public kiosk. But somehow Google Chrome will soon remove some of them. Then some kiosks will go haywired. People will soon be forced to opt for either paid apps or even engaged some vendors to assist in hardening their kiosk. No choice lah, security still a top concern or maybe because of some dark secret where these tools are disrupting their business like their ads..

Haha okay lah. Finally the government is doing what majority of the public expects. For public interest, better to maintain the current way so that locals can have a peace of mind. But then it will be challenging for NTUC Income moving forward. What i can say is that the government had done a right move. Points gained ! 😁

Steam games are just license instead of a game?

Isn't it obvious? It is exactly the same logic when you buy an online game from Nintendo Store for the Nintendo Switch, PS Store from a Playstation console, Xbox, etc? Steam is also the same leh. Wonder why people are so "overreacting" over this piece of news? If you want to own a game, just go to other platform and buy physical game disc. Although you are buying a game from Steam store, the game is still permanently tied to your steam account. Legal terms might say its like a license but u still play your game, so there is nothing so serious about it. To be frank, nobody ask you to buy games at full price. Always buy at discounted sales price. 

My Duck HK Roast Delight at Bras Basah Food Court

Its a new store at Bras Basah Food Court. So i tabao this at SGD$6.30 for Char Siew + Roasted Pork Rice. Of course the main highlight is the packaging. Wah this store really spend a lot on the packaging which after finishing my meal, i need to dispose it. All these containers and coloured cardboard really felt expensive. But $6.30 is quite ok i felt. Quality wise is 6/10. Portion is ok as well. So it is something i will eat again.

Snapdragon X Android Hacker Exploit

Ok lah. To be fair, qualcomm should just work with the phone maker who is using android. To us consumers, we will look towards the phone maker company and not to Qualcomm. So Android phone maker had no choice but to quickly release the patches to their phones who is using Qualcomm chip which in this case, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. As a user, just do your due diligence not to access fishy websites or applications, and you will do just fine lah.

Singtel Landline Service Outage

GG already. Every basic services today from trains to banks, from internet to landline phone service seems to be sub-par standards. In this modern world where technologies are advanced and able to handle relatively basic task easily. But in reality, it seems otherwise. I think some jobs or services still require the human touch and workers should be trained to handle the continuity of such business services. Whats the point of paying so much more, but only to get such outage to happen. Furthermore these issues are getting more frequent and this is a worrying sign. Could it be because too many people not doing their job seriously anymore?
