Being one of the most famous or rather most said that it is the best Nasi Lemak in Malaysia, I finally get to fly to Kuala Lumpur to try it at the authentic restaurant with my own plate right in front of me. Best of all was that it doesn't cost much for its quality and quantity ! Located at [5, Jalan SS 21/37, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia 47400], it is at least a 45 to 1 hour car ride from my hotel, ParkRoyal Collections KL. Not sure about today, but it was being listed in the Michelin Guide for street food back in 2021. Of course I have to try their signature nasi lemak ayam goreng berempah !
Upon getting into the restaurant which i fortunately do not have to queue, i quickly ordered what i want. Within 7 minutes, the food and drinks had arrived. After tasting it, unfortunately there were different opinion in parts of the dishes.
Rice - 10/10
Peanut, Ikan, cucumber, egg - 6/10
Chicken - 7/10
Price - 10/10
Chilli - 6/10
Overall - i will give 6/10
So overall, i give a 6/10 and finally understand what is short of getting a michelin star for this nasi lemak. I would say that the rice is very well done and perfect. But the rest have lots of improvement to be done. Aiyah i have to state the facts. Hopefully it is the inconsistency of the dishes that got me, but at the point of trying it out, this is the hard truth. But i think it is worth giving them a few tries to test if it is consistent to be one of the best?
