Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra :/

Let's hope it is true. I am long looking for a impressive zoom function. The current Samsung S23 Ultra zoom capability still not up to mark. My best zoom camera phone is still the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom. However, i hope the claim of this article is true lah. One more nonsense Samsung is saying was Samsung planning to use back Exynos chipset again. Oh well, until it really prove to be good, otherwise i will still stay away from it.

KFC Drumlets :)

Not only i enjoyed KFC Crispy Chicken, but also the new KFC Hot Devil Drumlets !! With both lime and bbq spicy flavor, i still prefer the lime one as it gives a more sour and spicy taste. Perfect combination, bbq ones taste good too except that it is quite common. 12 drumlets portion is actually good for 3 people but i enjoy it at 2 pax :)

F&B Container Park - Another one of Singapore's Biggest !

We had a few of these concept at places in Singapore. However, this new place will be one of Singapore's biggest size Container Park. Best of all, we will be able to enjoy both the sea + Aeroplane landing and takeoff. As Singapore is a small place, i personally still like to go to Non-Crowded places to chill. For a start, it will be big bang, but hopefully the large crowd will die down soon. However being ssid this, stall owners need constant crowd to make good money too, also to be able to cover the rental. Lets see.

Book Depository | One of my book rejected :(

While i am enjoying my last order on two books, one of my book got rejected. Not sure the actual reason whether it is shortage or no longer available. So they will be refunding one of my book cost. Still pending one more book to deliver by next month. Again, i love getting my books from Book Depository as they really carry good value and service for their book delivery. Not forgetting i like how they deliver the overall package !

Anbernic RG35XX - Game Boy For Adult

As the title and review goes, this unit, RG35XX is indeed a Game Boy for adult. Only those who plays Game Boy in the 1990s will truly enjoy this console. I'm one of them. Still remembered that i often work part time job just to buy game cartridge. Often hold the heavy game boy by my gate side to play games. At that time, one flagship game only costs S$30. However this unit contains tons of games of different consoles and even arcade games !! Definitely recommend anyone to buy it !

Wow ! Millennial is just awesome !

Wow oh wow, taking grab 99% of the time. For myself, i think twice and give up if it is just a causal or tiring trip. In fact, never took grab just for causal or lazy trip. The moment i take grab is only when emergency occurred where i required to rush to the hospital fast. For a single, last time i do spend alot on dining. That i can understand. Maybe because i'm not a millennial, as i treat money and cash very strictly. Millennials' spending habits is really alarming, however it does spur spending and its good for our economic, however, millennial really need to save or invest enough, or else all will cry for money 😅

Ragnarok Origin - Difficulty Starts at Second Job

Well, choosing as a merchant and eventually goes into job change as a BlackSmith now. The difficulty is actually now. Not knowing and hard to sustain the equipments and grinding process. Levelling up is all right, but the more important part is rather the upkeep and keeping up with the overall power level. Meaning even if my level is high, but unable to grind at monsters which have similar levels as I am. Really need to do many microfarming and keep enhancing the various weapons and armors ! Let's see how long i will last.

Next Gen ROG Phone 7

After using ROG Phone 1 for a few years before i sold off, almost getting ROG Phone 6, but eventually preordered Samsung Z Fold 4. Shortly after, then suddenly ROG Phone 6 released. 🤨 ROG Phone 6 in my opinion, its already damn good of a device. However, i might be considering this upcoming Asus ROG Phone 7. If the price, specs and design are right, this will be replacing my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max.

NTUC - Buy Fresh Pork and Free Rice :D

Seeing this promotion often make me decide on the spot decision especially on what to cook for lunch or dinner on a weekend. So yeah, after breakfast, happened to see this promotion during my groceries shopping. Free 500g Rice for every $15 purchase of fresh pork. So decided to get Pork Ribs and make Bak Kut Teh with Songfa Bak Gut Teh Soup base. Good bowl to nourish ourselves after endless and sleepless nights 😄

Ragnarok Origin - Latest Mobile Game Released on 06 April 2023

The latest Ragnarok Origin is on Mobile now ! I had created my character and will be taking on the Merchant job. So far the game mechanic is very good. Will be going long term on this just like i played Ragnarok M Eternal Love for 3 years. Let's just hope that F2P can go far for this.

VitaMilk - Simple and Easy to get Soya Bean Milk

Vita Milk still one of my favourite choice as a quick chilled Soya Bean Milk. Although price had increase in the recent years, i still continue to support this and price still affordable. Drinking from glass bottles are way better than plastic or can form. In a way, the soya bean milk is quite similar to condensed milk. 😁

Cheap cheap instant noodles deal

Long time never ate instant noodles because not healthy lah. But lately due to busy schedules everyday, no choice but to resort to instant noodles again. So whenever i cook three packets for two pax, i am actually paying less than S$1 for a meal for two pax. So far, this curry flavor taste ok but still need to get used to it nowadays.

Book Depository Closing on 26 April 2023

It is very sad to learn of this since i had been getting most of my IT textbooks and Financial books from this source as the price were so much better than our local bookstore. The only thing is after this online store is closed, my alternative source is back to KinoKuniya which is very expensive without membership. The membership itself is technically expensive too. Oh well....

ROG posted on their very firsf ROG handheld Gaming Console on 1st April 2023. Unsure whether it is a April Fool Joke, otherwise it will be very cool ! Unfortunately, i already bought and ordered one Portable Gaming Console which i will be posting soon. Based on this video made, seems that it is very legit device. If its fake, really well made ! 😄

Chin Lee Tea & Dine Lazy Afternoon

Tabao many times and supporting this restaurant for quite a while since it opened at Canberra Plaza. Usually will tabao their takeway menu and eat at home while working on my part time job. Tabao Yangzhou Fried Rice, Hor Fun with gravy and two Soup of the day. Just realised the cake shop beside had closed down, but quite obvious since not much business noticed over there unlike Chin Lee. The food ordered were great, as well as the soup, but felt that the soup is abit overpriced for its quantity though.

New Mcdonald Sweet Paprika Chicken McCrispy

Finally get to try the Sweet Paprika McCrispy, Criss Cut Fries and Calamansi McFizz. Honest review about the mcCrispy chicken is quite normal. Best to eat it when its hot and juicy, otherwise, it will not be nice. Criss Cut fries is probably the best fries for all the other fries in McDonald. Calamansi Mcfizz is not that great as well. So overall, doubt i will be eating this again for this season.

WWDC23 Confirmed !

Apple Event, WWDC23 is finally confirmed to be on 05 June to 09 June 2023. Looking forward to what software aspects of innovation and improvement to be revealed during the event. It is always good to have newer features or functions added to your existing Apple devices to help improve productivity and fun to using its devices. This is beneficial to me especially since I'm already decided to replace my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max to the upcoming Apple iPad Mini 7 hardware refresh ! I am still maintaining my primary device to be a Samsung Fold 4, similar to what Bill Gates is using as well. 🙂

Malaysians also own Singapore cars and pump RON95 lah ! So obvious !

This is the perfect example that finally people realised ! Not every Singapore Car are driven by Singaporeans. Although there were black sheeps from Singaporeans, there are many malaysians who owned Singapore cars and drove in to pump RON95 for decades !! Just that people often stereotype Singapore cars. To those Singaporeans who pump RON95 really malu and throw face lah. Just pump the better petrols for goodness sake, its still cheaper what u pumped in Singapore. If can't afford, don't own the car.

PNY NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 1TB Worth the money?

Having own 1 of the earliest release of Adata XPG SX8200 500GB and ROG Strix Arion NVMe SSD enclosure adopter to help increase my work efficiency, it really does the job well due to its high read and write speeds. After 2 years, i decided to get another one, but looking to get other enclosure and NVMe SSD. So i chanced upon this PNY M.2 NVMe SSD. Probably saw the exceptional cheap price with 1TB of storage. Made me curious of this product. As a result, yeah reviews isn't really good. Seems that cheap product really doesn't mean it is good. Shall explore other product, and skip this. 

Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve is coming to iPad Platform !

Blackmagic's DaVinci Resolve is coming to iPad Platform ! Although DaVinci Resolve have its Paid version, many still enjoy the free version ! Its cut and colour pages features is already very powerful for simple editing. As i am personally looking to tech refresh my Apple iPhone 13 Pro Max to the iPad Mini 7 which is releasing sometime in 2024, many of these useful apps really help to enhance productivity. Still hoping that there will be a major upgrade to the upcoming iPad Mini 7 !!

One Punggol Hawker Centre offers 10% Discount !

Ate at this One Punggol Hawker Center a few times there and gotta admit that the food and drinks were quite costly there. Fortunately, there is a Timbre App which you can enjoy 10% discount for all food and drinks there. However, not all enjoyed cashless transactions where you have to top up and at times money got locked up only to purchase food and drinks at the said location. But if you frequent there, then maybe better to use the app. FYI, the discount is borned by the stall owners, so do support them !

Back to eating Oats every dinner time !

Looks like its time for me to start taking Oatmeal every dinner time if i make it home. If at work, then no choice. Not only it will reduce weight and most importantly overall costs and expenses, it taste delicious too ! Back in the days like 17 years ago, my dad will often make oats as our breakfast. With the condensed milk, it really taste heavenly ! 

Second Death Anniversary to my Son

Today is the day i pay my respects to my son, Jordan who had passed away on 28 March 2021. Its already two years, but i can never forget who and how important he is to me. Till today, i still have you as my wallpaper on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and previous iPhone 12. I hope you are in the safe hands in heaven and move on 😢

Well, besides getting their 3 piece chicken meal to fill up myself for the second job in the night, decided to get a small box of durian. 5 durian balls in the smaller box for $3.95. My wife said not not bad. For myself, i think its all right, still devoted to pure durian. 😆

Nearby Don Don Donki Northpoint Early Marketing

Came here while on my OFF day to get some Brunch before heading out to run some errand. Early morning shopping at Don Don Donki where there were no crowd is a blessing ! Some food items might not be available, but you can be certain that you will be getting the freshest food item. The Soba was ok, as i think there are better ones out there. The tonkatsu curry was good, but quite pricey. Vegetables was imported from japan, a little expensive, but the quality is there.

Late last year, Apple mentioned that they will reduce the price of their upcoming iPhone 15 Pro. But then only a few months later, Apple decided to raise price for the iPhone 15 Pro. Its natural, if they don't raise, then i worry since I am part of Apple's Shareholder. However, iPhone is still the world best choice of mobile device, especially the new generations. Based on my current needs, i basically will sell off my iPhone 13 Pro Max for the upcoming Apple iPad Mini 7 which will be refreshing in 2024. 

My Average "Go to" Cai fan at Malaysia Boleh Bugis Junction

Very often, my average lunch meal is Cai Fan or some called it Mixed Rice. Previously early last year, my average 1 meat + 2 Vegetables is around $3.50 to $4.80. But after CNY this year, my same 1 meat + 2 Vegetables cost me $6.60 to $7.50. As above, the same thing cost me $7. I feel that it is really ridiculous since our wages isn't keeping up with the increased cost. Yet company time to time again push back our performance review and gave very limited increment. Yet our work getting inflated and getting more and more. Felt that life is getting tiring.

Another new Coffee Chain, Luckin Coffee

As released by CNA on this article, for my own opinion, i always welcome new concept store. Hopefully the price is much more affordable, of course most importantly is the overall goodness of its pastries, cakes and coffee. As it comes from China, people often said that this is the China version of Starbucks. To be honest, yeah similar but definitely will have some difference one. Hoping to try this one fine day.

Razer Atlas

Razer Atlas, something made for the Pro Gamers that goes for competition. However, anyone now can own one to use it at home. Of course, it had better be used for a good cause, else the price is something crazy to go for. Although it is said to be durable and fit for long usage, glass being glass, once mishandled, probably will be gone instantly. Think twice before buying 😅

Will Singtel ride out the storm in 2023?

Singtel share is something i had held for many years now. In terms of local telco in Singapore, i have been still holding Starhub and Singtel for probably 8 years now. M1 had delisted several years ago. I am not surprised at how much these telco share price had fallen throughout the years. It is low indeed for Singtel, but so does the other stocks. From what my personal thought about this, have trust in Singtel and it will eventually ride out the storm.

Heavenly Wang Laksa and Mee Rebus

Finally had a chance to sit down at have our heavenly wang dinner at the hospital. So i ordered one bowl of mee rebus and laksa set with coffee and toast bread. Coffee and Bread were well made. Mee rebus quite ok, but the laksa is good. I ended up drinking everything in its paper bowl. Really recommended to enjoy their toast, coffee and laksa !

Well, this will be a warning sign to the world and indirectly impact the world. This is the time to quickly learnt about the past economic crisis and how to convert this bad times into opportunity ! Well of course every country leader will say limited impact to prevent as much fear as possible. Time to look tightly at the stock markets as well as crypto market !

Trying the new Canberra Gopizza Branch below my block ;)

Yeah this new Gopizza store just opened under my block where i stay. Grab a quick dinner downstairs while busy at home. Service was quick since no other queues, but maybe because of their "goven" which is their own oven that made these pizza just 3mins. Got the hawailan pizza, bacon potato and shoestring fries. Wanted to get their korean fried chicken wings too, but they said it is not ready for sale yet. Guess will have to wait further to try their wings another time. Pizza wise, i felt is soso but of course better than those frozen pizzas. Fries can forget it because is normal. At its price, it is a little costly.

Pine Tree Cafe @ Fortune Center

Had vegeterian early morning and their vegeterian dishes were not bad. Had been going there for my regular "chicken" rice for the past few years. This time, i ordered Yong Tau Hu, Nasi Lemak and Chicken Rice. Soup for the yong tau hu is rather bland, but healthy lah. Both the Nasi Lemak and Chicken Rice are something i will recommend to all :)

Chicken McGriddles & Sausage McGriddles is BACK !

Finally is back and again how i wish it could be a permanent Mcdonald menu. Still good and i enjoyed it very much. Came over to Canberra Plaza to have my breakfast and saw a really long queue because of the Canberra Exclusive Bag. But didnt queue for one. Many scalpers were there to get the bag and give up the meal to others 🙃

Feb 2023 BTO Lowest number of applicants since 2020

Well, for my own personal analysis, figures only shows one part of the story. Feb BTO 2023 isn't really that amazing actually. If it is interesting like when I applied for the Ang Mo Kio Launch last year, that was clearly oversubscribed and popular. Hence people can't really say that the numbers had stablised. It is a hard fact that housing really does increase due to more expensive material and labour costs as well as global inflation. For such a high price, people nowadays only hope to buy something which have good location, even for people who really need to have a house. So yeah, next launch for places like Bedok and Serangoon, perhaps people will go for it in higher numbers.

8 inch diskette in 2023 :)

The first floppy disks, invented and made by IBM, had a disk diameter of 8 inches (203.2 mm). I still keep them today. They are commerically available in the 1970s. And i first acquired them while attending my first PC course back in 1990s while i was around 8 years old. It is indeed a piece of history and in todays' standard, we are able to keep 1TB worth of data in a small microsd card. 

Koufu @ Millenia Walk

Came here for dinner while buying some stuffs in the area. First thing first, the claypot curry chicken here is very good. 🙂 Definitely will recommend for everyone to try. As for the fish steamboat and fish head soup, its very thick and heavy in taste, its ok but easily get sick of it though. The fried dumpling also so so. Not much choices in this food court as most stalls were closed down.

七里香 Qi Li Xiang @ Novena Square 2

Tried this small little corner stall, 七里香 Qi Li Xiang @ Novena Square 2 hidden at one part of the mall. Had passed by several times during cny period and it was closed for a long time. Today managed to try this for lunch before doing my stuffs. We ordered Nasi Lemak and Curry Chicken. Overall price is quite expensive, quantity is normal but quality was below average. 😔

Newton Hawker Centre

Tried one of the prawn noodle store. Ordered the medium size of this Pork Ribs Prawn Noodles at SGD$9.50. Felt abit disappointed of the quality for its price. Probably because it is a tourist spot. As for Sugarcane juice, the standard with ice costs SGD$2.50. Another cup, requested for no ice, so charges for SGD$3. But then the cup is smaller 😐 Oh well...

Ji De Chi Dessert @ Novena Square

After the Goldhill Dessert had relocated, the next best in Novena area for dessert will be this store located in Novena Square. Ordered one durian and one HoneyDew Dessert. Price wise is quite expensive, quantity were small, but quality is not bad. Nice place to chill in and normally it is crowded during lunch time and evening. 

Hanis really too much liao [2023]

It is really getting out of hand for hanis to price their Fish & Chip Set at S$12.80 ! 😡 Previously, it was going at S$9.80 per set and it is a big fat S$3 jump in just a year. Yet the quantity and quality have degraded. Small portion and overcooked. Guess its time to boycott them for others. 

Yakult Supporter all the way !

Haha although this Nutri-grade, not everyone will give a dim to it, but it is worth mentioning the greatness of this Yakult. During my whole lifetime, i still preferred Yakult to Vitagen and many others. But then again, this is classified to be more healthier because it is the lower sugar variant. The original Yakult is the best. I had yet to try this gold version, but many do feedback that it is still very similar to the original one.

Plastic Bag to charge at least 5 cents per bag

Haha, had long expected it and in fact, some supermarket had started some trial for the past few years. I will still pay for the plastic bag to carry my groceries as well using it as my trash bag. 5 cents per bag still all right, because it is still cheaper than destroying the plastic bag. Not saying everyone to think that way, saving the earth is of course an important task for all. So just do it. 😄

New Canadian Coffee Chain coming to Singapore

 

As always, i am always welcome to new Coffee or cafe chain opening in Singapore to give us such diverse flavors of their wonderful food and drink ! Especially coffee, coffee really have many different robust flavors and help represent their store to give us a new experience ! Can't wait to have a taste once they are opened. 😁

Heavenly Wang Kopi O Kosong

While desperate for a quick caffine fix to boost my brain, i chanced upon Heavenly Wang Kopi O Kosong and it was heavenly indeed. Not only it managed to fix my caffine, but also let me enjoy a good cup of kopi O Kosong. Waiting to give 100% energy to my precious one. Recommended for all to try ! 

Jumbo Seafood Feast and wanted to try the Chilli Crab

Previously last year, i tried the Black Pepper Crab from Jumbo. This time, i wanted to try their Award Winning Chilli Crab (even they indicated award winning crab from their receipt). Got three mantou just for dipping into the rich sauce. Also ordered a HK soy sauce style fish, cod fish, vegetable, egg fried rice and 1 jug of Barley due to the hot weather. This time, i tried at their Riverside outlet. Needless to say, the chilli crab is indeed one of the best ! It goes well practically with anything like my fried rice, mantou or even at its own. Definitely worth eating !

One last time at Novena before its closure and relocation

Ordered its Mango Sago and Honeydew Sago for the last time before their Novena Closure and relocated to Orchard. They had been increasing their prices at a reasonable rate and quality of the desserts were good so far ! As understood, they had opened this novena outlet for the past 9 years. Hopefully after the relocation, both price and quality can be maintained or improved !
