Chao Expedition - Horntail [MapleStory M]

Wanted to exit initially as all the lower level starts leaving midway through the chaos mode of Horntail. Fortunately i carry on together with 3 other maplers and managed to carry the team to beat Horntail at 67.2%. Still hard to get the legendary drops from Chaos Horntail. Time to rest as my free pet had finished. So can't farm efficiently now. Will be away for 1 week holiday soon.

Jumbo X Nissin | Jumbo Signature Chilli Crab Instant Noodle !

Anything from Jumbo Seafood must be good. I first sighted at NTUC Finest at AMK Central for $2.65 each. For its price, it is quite ok. Yet to taste it, but bought 4 cups to try it soon. If its good, will restock it. The funny thing is after i shop at NTUC Finest at AMK Central, i also went to NTUC Xtra at AMK Hub and was shocked to see that same product, but XTRA is selling at $3.01 more expensive. I immediately laugh out loud 😄

$1.99 Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks Grand Opening at Canberra Plaza

While other people are queuing for Taylor Swift's concert, I am queuing for Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks Grand Opening. 😆Managed to get number 65 and 66 of the 100th customers queue to enjoy the $1.99 promotion last Saturday. Waited for about 1 hour to get my XXL Crispy Chicken for the good deal, there are no shortfall and the quality is still tip top. Will continue to support this stall in my neighbourhood.

Black Thorn Durian at AMK Central

Really wanted to try the Black Thorn Durian which most people said its one of the best on top of Mao Shan Wang. It is known for it bitter sweet, but more towards the bitter department. So I went for this store and this Black Thorn Durian comes from Penang variant. It costs at $18 per KG and I got the big one at 2.75KG. It supposed to be $49.75, but he gave me discount at $45. But to be frank, still expensive to consume durian in Singapore though. But the craving overpowered me this time, even though I will be heading to KL next week for more better priced durians. Portion is ok, but the taste isn't very much consistent. The bitter taste is definitely more than the sweetness. So I will still think it is worth a 4/10 for its price and taste. Certainly not satisfying as the other Mao Shan Wang. 😕

[MapleStory M] MasterCraft Armor to Ancient Grade is taking way too much resources....

As the title goes, it is taking way too much resources, time and effort to mastercraft to Ancient grade gear. Worst of all, there is a success rate and should there be a failure, it will add one count of failure which you will need to spend resources again to erase the fail rate. Really not easy as a F2P player for MapleStory M. But to be able to reach this state is really not easy and require determination. Shall try it tonight to Mastercraft it. Wish me the best of luck !

Swensen Unlimited Buffet !!!

Wow, Swensen had released unlimited buffet with free flow ice cream, seafood and more at Changi Airport Terminal 2 ! It is like most hotel buffet, but at $31++ is from weekdays lunch onwards. But is limited at 90 minutes dining time. This is available for dining from 11am to 11pm. Of course dinner at weekends are at $50++. Perfect place for Swensens' supporters ! It just began from 1st March 2024.

McGriddles is back !!

McGriddles is back once again and its pretty tons of time of removing and coming back till the Mcdonald's Marketing is boring. However, this is one of my most favourite Burger of all times. Because it is Sausage McGriddles Stack which has bacon, double meat and the best bun ever. However prices also went up and it costs $8.20 with a normal coffee and hash brown. So eat while I can and will stop once the price reaches the overly inflated price where no one can afford.

[Warcraft Rumble] New Hero: Emperor Thaurissan

Finally got the new hero, Emperor Thaurissan via the free method. Although i'm the main contributor of the points in the guild system, at least some guild members also fork out some effort, else i might redeem a little later. All in all, after trying to use this hero, it seems more like a tanker with a little DOT attack. Still have to rely much on my other units to win the battle. So probably i give it only Tier B for this hero.

Carls Jr Lunch

Had a quick lunch at Jurong Point during CNY visits. CNY visits are always rushing like doing work like that. But of course, we still need to stop by places to have lunch. Nowadays also seldom see Carls Jr outlet in Singapore. So we went for it as there was nobody and had many seats. Got ourselves 5 chicken tenders, Yakiniku Pork Burger, Iced Milo and Fries. I was impressed that it is delicious, but sad to see that they had reduced in sizes due to many other fast food competitors in Singapore. Just hoping that they will survive and I will try to support whenever i can.

Signature Koi | Lychee Gin Fizz

Signature Koi also known as the most expensive and premium version of Koi Bubble Tea offers alcohol menu. They had been out many years now and I had tried some time back. It had been at least a year I last tried and went to order their Lychee Gin Fizz for $9.90. I got to say that the drink is really great. It is similar to what we usually order from Pub, but at $9.90, it is worth your every penny. Can't wait to try out their many other drinks from the alcohol menu.

Japanese Apple Juice Imported from Japan

Got 2 cups of Japanese Apple Juice at Isetan Nex @ Serangoon. To be frank, $12 for 2 cups of Apple Juice is kind of expensive. However, after you drank it, i immediately said that it is worth it. The sweetness of this apple juice is out of this world and i asked the person whether did they add sugar? They said no and its due to the natural sweetness from this japanese apple. Try it while they are still there.

老伴豆花 Increase Price...

Last month when i bought at Causeway Point Woodlands, it was still selling at $2 each. Just bought 2 days ago at Bishan MRT Station this time and now it is selling at $2.20 now. So even you include 1% GST increase, it should be 0.02 cents increase instead of 10% increase. But everywhere is increasing at more than 10%. So how? Better not eat already. Sigh....

Median Resale Price of 5-Room Flat risen the most in Canberra, Sembawang Central

Basically, Sembawang is no longer "Ulu", especially in Sembwang Central, call Canberra resale prices have risen the most since 2019. Being one of the proud owner there, I am really happy. However, I have no plan on selling off my flat to make the profit. It is in fact a nice cosy place, less crowd and have enough amenities to get your essential stuffs. From my place, I am also able to see Northpoint since I stayed at the highest floor. 😜

Simba New Broadband plan at only $20 a month is a big steal !

Simba is launching 2.5Gbps fibre plans at $20 per month. It will be one of the cheapest broadband plan with a decent 2.5Gbps speed. Its really a nice thing, but it doesn't mean there is no con on this. We will know only when it rolls out in the public. Because i am using their SuperMY Mobile plan and network had not been fantastic to be frank.

Forgot to renew domain is crazy from a popular website

It is crazy that if such a popular website's domain is not renewed and after it expired, this will be scary. Even my unpopular website, i will tend to renew once it is close to expiry. Do remember to renew your domain before it expires, or else someone else will be able to grab it.

JB for Durian Feast

Had been visiting frequently at JB particularly at KSL area for durian feast. So often that I bumped into working colleagues there as well. The price of the durians there are quite affordable as compared to Singapore. So I will spend a little more on the premium durians like Red Prawn Mao Shan Wang. I am very much craving for Black Thorn Durian which is the most expensive on their list but it is always sold out. Can't wait to visit KL next month to order Black Thorn. But also depends on the season. So hopefully i will try it and share whether if it is really worth it?

Ms Durian Review

If you are looking for a durian cake, look no other than Ms Durian. After trying many other durian cakes, i think this MSW Durian with Whisky cake is simply the best in SG. As there is alcohol, not recommended for children, but of course they have the non alcohol edition as well. Except for the top part, the rest of the cake is 10/10. Like the packaging and two mandarin oranges too since it is ordered during CNY. The MSW durian inside is authentic and quantity is good. Highly recommended for all to try.

On the verge of quitting Langrisser, BUT....

Yeah had shot a video to roll 5 x 10 times summon on the new hero. My plan is if i do not get the hero at 5 times roll, i will quit Langrisser officially and delete the app to be more concentrated effort on the other mobile games. But quite rare that I got it on the 3rd roll. So will still be maintaining effort for this game. In fact, this game had been surviving for quite long. Let's see how. Probably will have another roll half a year later.

Wow unexpected ! I thought they might actually convert this area into the new Simpang Township. But ok lah, this kind of depot will test the land weight sia. See can support or not. Hope it will not affect the sound of the residential nearby around Canberra Area.

Committing the same mistake every year....

Forgotten again and again not to eat at food court. Was thinkjng to have a simple meal at the food court while ordering Jumbo Seafood for lunch later. Had Carrot Cake at Ion Orchard food court. Initially i order for the $8.80 carrot cake which is already pricey enough. But when paying with a $50 bill, the person asked me whether i had 10 cents, i said nope no coins with me. She then returned $40 back. Thinking that aiyo why $10 ah? I asked and immediately got scolded that CNY Day 3 still have 15% extra surcharge. Only then i calculate and realised that it is $10.10. She actually waived off 10cents. Ok lah, think next year need to take note on this.

CNY Day 2 Dinner

Had our CNY dinner at Canberra Plaza when it opened fully during CNY day 2. Had a good bowl of Ramen and snacks. Think they didn't charge extra CNY costs during this period. Thumbs UP !!

CNY can be stressful. Why?

Sometimes the price varies depending on who is the server, so price really kept changing and have no standard pricing even though sometimes they stated it.

Its getting all the negativity when most people reveal and unlock all the problem of the newly launched S24 Ultra. I understand the fact that not all titanium is the same, but it clearly shows that it is of lower quality when you compared with its competitors. Not only the material but the entire camera system is a total downgrade at flagship cost. Good luck to those who bought this. This also revealed many youtuber that are sponsered are lying through their mouth. 😄

As both of us love durian and like taste that are heavy, i am trying this Whisky Mao Shan Wang Cake for my wife as it is her birthday today. A cake that takes 5 days to make from scratch. I hope it is good. Will share more and review in the next few days :)

More and more of such news isn't good

Each day we are seeing such news which is not good. Most people are out of jobs and are looking at lower salary jobs, but cost of living are rising alot. Not a good trend, but still got to find ways to but bread on the table. I guess one have to grabhold of what they have and hope for the entire situation to improve. Not sure how long this trend will continue.

KOI Quarterly Vouchers for both Gold and Diamond Members

Not only birthday vouchers, but Koi also provides occasional vouchers for other drinks specific 1 for 1. Tried their Lychee Aloe Vera is refreshing and nice. But suggest to add at least 25% sugar. Because i always opt for 0% and this drink really need to have at least a little bit of sweetness to be nice.

Shiniin Taiwan Street Snacks @ Canberra Plaza

Finally it is opened, and i immediately supported it by getting two XXL chicken. Really nice and consistent. Hope it stays that way. Mee sua and other dishes, i'm not really a fan of it. Just need to enjoy their big chicken cutlet. Must eat it when it is hot and request for more spices. It will be perfect !

Retrenchments more than double the numbers in 2023 from 2022

To add on to the complication, either more people will have no jobs or have to accept lower salary for a quick job. To make matter worst, prices of almost everything are rising. Making us have to fork out more money for less. To be honest, last time a $5 meal will keep me full. Now it takes $10 to make me full. Thats the difference...

In the past, we only thought that banks are the top layoff business in the world. Ever since tech became popular in the recent years, many who join tech companies also see highest number of layoff numbers. It is a thankless job, when they need people to expand fast, they hire. When all is done, they reduce the numbers very quickly. Thats the problem. IT is always a thankless job. You help people, you get scolded. What to do? Better to change line quickly.

4th Single MBS Tower in Singapore

I mean it is good for both the company and the country, so why not? At least it created jobs for more people regardless of local or foreigner. It is also considered as one of the iconic building in the world when Singapore travel is mentioned. So i am definitely supportive of this and hope to try it one day.

No more WMIC soon in next release

I uses WMIC for various purposes in work. Such a shame that Microsoft is going to remove WMIC soon in the next Windows Build. But at least Microsoft is sounding out instead of removing it silently. Need to find out new ways to execute the right command for the ex-WMIC feature.

Hydralic Manufacturing Fault occurred at the 23 month mark !

My Apol Behemoth which accompany me for 1 year 11 month when it broke down due to the hydralic system. As all the chair carries 2 years warranty, i quickly report to Apol and fortunately their servicing is quick and assisted to resolve it. Probably will use it till it broken before replacing another chair. All in all, this is a great chair and it really went through all the beating throughout its lifespan. However after the servicing, it is not able to adjust the height of the chair, but i am fine as it is already adjusted to the highest point. Hope it can last another year or two before I might try SecretLab next.

DS423+ and IronWolf Pro 12TB

My Synology DS423+ came first, but have to wait for my Seagate IronWolf Pro NAS HDD to arrive from overseas. Bought at a great deal for the HDD, but DS423+ price quite controlled, so only save around $10 due to Shopee voucher. The setup was amazingly simple and took only a short time to do so. Had opt for the Raid 1 configuration. The reason why i get such a big capacity for all my storage needs and using one as the backup. 

Budget Z Fold 6

Entry Level or Budget Fold 6, not sure if they are able to handle the x amount of problems. Nowadays the term cheaper is just a gimmick, it is only slightly cheaper. But the average consumers are going to give enough complaints on the build. Samsung really need to have the capacity to handle efficiently, else it is going to be a nightmare.

SimplyGo is going back to its own way without phasing out the the old ways

For the first time, government is U turning its policies based on Public Feedback. Well, i know there will be cost incurred maintaining the older ticketing system. But if you are talking about IT, isn't it most places still maintaining its legacy systems as well. Like most public are saying, if it is not broken, why fix for tbe sake of fixing? Well, the only problem is actually the flaw of the newer system. If the Simplygo is able to perform the same feature as the previous system with additional function, then that is considered as an emhancement. Only then, us as the commuters will have nothing to say. Hope they can fix the Simplygo seriously instead of just rolling out for the sake of rolling out.

New Shi Lin Stall @ Canberra Plaza

Finally Shi Lin is confirmed coming to Canberra Plaza ! I am a great fan of its 鸡扒. Guess it is time for me to sign up for membership and support this stall. In order for them to survive, really need the people from that area to keep buying from them, otherwise it will be hard for business to survive nowadays. As for those who kept selling high price and lpw quality food, i will not support at all. One time is largely enough to learn a lesson.

Samsung S24 Ultra is a downgrade :(

Apparently it is a upgrade considering that i owned a Samsung S23 Ultra now. Most of it were just software upgrade at the expense of downgrading its hardware. Bought S23 Ultra because my Samsung Z Fold 4 was faulty after a year. Service center downtime was bad and no loan phones. I still like foldable phones, but would only consider if there is 2 years warranty instead of one. Hence S24 Ultra is nothing at all. 

Warcraft Rumble Season 3 !!!

Didn't expect season 3 to come up so soon, but good job Blizzard for making a title worthy of gaming on the go. Perfect for busy adults like us.. So the main highlights of this season is actually the new hero leader -> Emperor thaurissan. Emperor thaurissan seems good in fact the new season 2 troop is not bad either. Let's hope to see more rumble goodness and AmateurCraft will strive to be greater !

McDonald releasing something new on 25 Jan 2024

Something is brewing, but nowadays the internet is easy to decipher information. Hong Kong Mcdonald just released Hello Kitty Mahjong not long ago and it seems that we may have the same thing hopefully instead of some Stuffed Toy thingy. Really looking forward to it, but certainly not looking forward to the hateful scaplers !

Paylah Hawkers extended to July 2024 !

Nice that DBS actually extended this already popular weekly cashback for hawker meals on DBS PayLah! App till July 2024. This is really a generous move and hope that other banks will follow suit. However, one need to be fast and sure that the food stall actually provided this cashback. I personally hamtam some coffeeshop stalls and didnt have it. Of course some have it and i am happy to have redeemed it. Try it if you did not try it.

Festives Seasonal Menu | Gochi-So Shokudo

On paper, this set looks good and comprehensive. But the actual product is quite disappointing. The portion is too little for its price. It just shows that things are really expensive now if we weigh both price and quantity. Meat wise, less fat unlike Saboten standard. The shabu is 😩. So all in all, nah not having this here anymore.
