Insta360 X4 Replacement

So after i brought it to Insta360 Service Center in Singapore to check the issue of not being able to read the microsd card, they confirmed that it might be due to a manufacturing fault. In the end, they provided me a brand new replacement as my warranty is ending in mid April 2025. However for the new camera, there will be no warranty. They offered me an option for 1 year accidental warranty for SGD$45. I think its well worth it and went to take it to protect till end of March 2026. Let's hope the camera doesn't give me any more problems as i intend to use for a longer time this time for my upcoming trips.

Casio G-Shock GD-X6900 Repair

This is another timepiece which i will keep, because it is my first birthday present from my wife bought back during our first KL trip in 2013. So it had been 12 years and finally the light is gone as the battery lasted more than 10 years. By right, 10 years is the lifecycle, but it actually exceeded the 10 years mark. Went to a local store to replace the battery after a failed attempt on the battery replacement. So costs $12 for the battery replacement + service. But as per the store staff, the water proofing will be gone for now. I actually just sold one of my other G-Shock watch. Even when i see the current Rangeman in the G Shock store, i don't see the value in it except that it is mainly used as a tool watch, thats all.

Shine Muscat | Product of Korea

Shine Muscat is a very popular type of seedless grape originated in Japan. It is extremely delicious. It is also popular in Singapore and several countries were harvesting this type of grapes and exporting to other countries. China Shine Muscat had the most budget friendly option and taste ok. Japan Shine Muscat is sweeter and tasted the best, but its expensive. So i tried something in the middle about SGD$8.95 Shine Muscat which is imported into our local supermarket from South Korea. The packaging, looks of the Shine Muscat were good. After trying it, the taste is great, but not that high in sugar content. I will recommend this. Shine Muscat Rating: 7.5/10.

Dian Xiao Er 店小二 Part 2 of 2025

Think will be going to Dian Xiao Er quite often from now on since our meal had $10 OFF. Furthermore we just purchased the membership which provided us some goodies with legit cost saving vouchers. We are happy that they actually gave us two of their rubber duckies while dining there. Still love their caramelized Char Siew which is top notch and their herbal duck which is also top notch ! This time for the herbal duck, i opt for the dang gui herb which is so much better and goes very well with the rice. The new item that we tried this time is the thunder tea rice which the portion is a lot, but think there are better thunder tea outside, hence its just 6/10 for me for the thunder tea rice.

FujiFlim Flim Camera Review

Well, Flim Camera is indeed Flim camera. Unless you want to produce a natural flim camera quality, then can go for this. Otherwise your phone camera more than good enough. Tested this Simple Ace disposable camera, pictures are not bad for a flim quality and gives the retro outcome. But its kinda expensive to replicate such softcopy. Without considering print out with additional cost which goes the same as mobile camera. The pain point is the cost of this disposable camera at about SGD$28 + developing the negative and process out the softcopy with additional cost of SGD$17+. Waiting time can take up to 1 month. Its fun, but i find it not so affordable in today's standard. So might not consider Flim anytime soon again.

Overpriced Chicken Rice with lousy quality

Its one of the worst chicken rice + roasted pork combo i ate in 2025 ! What makes it worst is the price. $10.10 for such portion and poor quality at a food court is very bad. Happened to be at Koufu Cookhouse located at Novena Square. To rate the breakdown of this chicken rice, steamed chicken is at 5/10, white at 3/10, roasted pork at 3/10 and the soup is 2/10. Guess i have to blame it myself to even order without scanning the store enough and make the judgement not to eat it, but lesson learnt. 

Overhaul Watch Servicing [Thong Sia - Seiko]

Had decided to go down and do a check. It turns out that the staff mentioned that my Seiko V157-OBTO [JDM] which i had bought from Hokkaido, Japan 6 years ago need to undergo an overhaul full servicing. This will include cleaning and replacement of movement parts and battery as well as fixing whatever water proofing issues in my watch. Costs me SGD$109 and had to be in their office or japan for the next two months. Well, what i can say is this piece of watch accompanied and provided me a lot of joy for many years. Hence i proceed to do the full servicing. In a way, i felt that this 2025 is like a year of maintenance... 🫥 But realised that i have a habit and i am always sticking to the same design for the past decade !

Touch N Go Visa Card

Finally got my TouchnGo Visa Card from the mail. Although from the ewallet option mentioned got Singapore, but seems that we are not able to have it mailed to a Singapore Address. From google, it says that there is additional cost to be sent to Singapore, but there's isn't really that option to make it sent to SG at all. So no choice have to let them sent to a Malaysia Address and we went over to collect it. But damn it is really useful and convienent to use it in Malaysia. I will probably make use of this in my next China trip too.

Minecraft Theme McDonald

Upon launch of the Minecraft theme in Mcdonald SG, i was having lunch at Woodlands Mcdonald. So during the first week, usually it is the kids meal that gives toy, but this time, the standard regular adult menu is also giving out their version of toy in the blind form which might give you random toy. Although it is a little pricey, but got it anyway. Within the box, i got the Minecraft Big Mac Cube and the shiny Cube Card. It seems that the card contain the code for giving you actual minecraft big mac block for free which normally its an additional cost. But its not part of my generation that played Minecraft on PC. Guess i'm really old already. 😒

Fresco Gelato JB Review

Fresco Gelato is an italian ice cream chain. But can be found in JB Malaysia. I tried some of the flavours and one of the premium flavours. It was not bad given the price that it is all right. You will be able to test out in case you felt worried taking some unknown flavours. But in order to give you the best advice, i will say just whack all the premium flavours. These are the best there as compared to the Non-Premium flavours.

Samyang X KFC Buldak Double Down + Sauce

Bought the recently collab between Samyang and KFC chicken products. I think Samyang is famous for its instant noodles. But the sauce for my 2 piece chicken i don't think its good. Might be my personal preference though, but their instant noodles still taste good. Just that this sauce is very spicy but abit bitter for the taste. So i rather just enjoy my fried chicken without the sauce. So suggest to pass off unless you really want to try.

Stick-Ease! Motion Sickness Patches

Had tried to purchase this Stick-Ease! motion sickness patches for about SGD$9 at the local guardian store in Singapore. I experienced myself at random car rides, the feeling of car sick, giddy and felt like vomiting. My daughter had also experienced vomiting for a few occasions in car rides too. Recently, i tried this product for my cruise and car rides. So far, it works flawlessly and i don't felt any symptoms of car sick with this product. My daughter was playing with her toy car and watching on mobile phone in the car and so far it is quite effective. I really recommend everyone to try this as it is not oral medicination which i clearly avoided this option. Just have to stick behind the ears 30 minutes before the ride and work magically !

Macrovalue Bought Singapore's Cold Storage and Giant Supermarkets

Its not easy to operate supermarkets in Singapore, especially in terms of rental. The new owner, Macrovalue had already owned Malaysia's counterpart, Cold Storage and Giant supermarkets as well. I got to admit that i love to do my groceries shopping in Cold Storage as the products were of better quality. Giant on the other hand, is of lower quality especially in Malaysia. And i don't like Malaysia's side of Giant preventing shoppers of carrying backpack into the supermarket and forced to deposit into their security's shelf. I can relate to why they want to deter theft, but is giving genuine shoppers like me to feel irritated. So with Macrovalue taking over Cold Storage and Giant Supermarkets in Singapore, i really hope that Cold Storage will remain as premium as it is. Well let's see how. But something is indeed brewing.

Dettol 950ml BodyWash at Sheng Siong

Went to get some usual bodywash, but was puzzled at the prices on the shelf. Just to confirm that the products are the same product, same expiry date, same 950ml content and same country of origin. Now the difference is the price. One of the 2 in 1 bundle is selling at $11.45. And another shelf is selling at 1 for $5.45 each. Haha so you know which i should i buy right since i'm buying two.

1% of Resident in 2024 are having one child for married women aged 40 and 49

Well, i'm not surprised. With rising costs which plays a part, people are marrying older and therefore having kids at a later age. Having a kid is also isn't an easy task, with women getting older to have a kid, there are many health risks also. Single child families also means that both parents will focused on their kid giving them there best and protective of them. In short, have one child is better than no child in fact which is also on the rise.

Had decided to get the Omega Seamaster 300 Professional. After years of feeling and touching watches at the various boutique stores...
Got offered Rolex Explorer 36, but don't like. Tested Grand Seiko SBGA229, but no more stock when i'm ready to get. Wanted Rolex Submariner 41mm No Date, but waited for 3 years, still no call, and price rising like hotcakes. Between Tudor Black Bay and Pelagos LHD, Pelagos LHD almost get me to put down the cash, but finally still Omega Seamaster 300 won my heart. But i am comparing the bigger one 43.5mm one and the two tone yellow gold. Still feel that the yellow gold will tarnish after many years of wearing, so skipped this.

Seiko X Rolex Sea Dweller Mod

It has the same weight and size as compared to the real rolex sea dweller. Last time i used to like big watches, but recently after going to different luxury boutiques to try out different brands and sizes, i realised that size doesn't matter much and the more important factor is that it fits into your wrists comfortably. Being nice and beautiful is secondary. As i had been wearing Seiko for several years, Seiko is relatively very comfortable and time is very accurate and well made. If unable to afford luxury watches for the next few years, i suggest getting your favourite Seiko mod for that brand you desired. It will give or prepare you if it is really the one you want. It seem that nowadays i started to appreciate more on Omega rather than Rolex. Ultimately just buy what you like is more important.

Limited Edition Seiko Prospex Tuna Black Series

Bought this limited edition Seiko Prospex Solar Tuna Black Series in August 2022 which is limited edition and is only available in 5000 pieces worldwide. Bought this at the original Seiko Boutique at Takashimaya. If i not wrong, i was lucky that the boutique is currently running a 35% OFF, so i really benefit this time at around SGD350++. So till date, this watch had accompanied me for the past 2+ years. I got to say the watch strap is very comfortable and the dial is very easy to view in many different light conditions.

V157-0BT0 Seiko Prospex Diver Scuba Special Edition [JDM]

Bought this at Hokkaido, Japan on September 2019 and had been with me for the past 6 years. Recently, there is condensation issue in the crystal as identified by Seiko Service Center [Tiong Sia] in Singapore. Looks like i will have to bring it in to the service center on a weekday. Its a nice piece of watch where i like design which resemble just like the Rolex Submariner. At that point of time, this is first released in Japan and it is their own Japan Domestic Model exclusive, and its made in Japan as the japanese salesman kept saying it proudly. But unfortunately the Japanese yen back then were strong, so end up paying around 38795 yen or SGD500+ for this piece. But i love it and hope after the upcoming maintenance, it will continue to grow together with me.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Last Post on Anthem of the Sea !

Overall, it is a pleasant trip. Being in this cruise for 4 days and 3 nights with half a day down to Penang, i felt that i did not fully utilize much of the facilities within the cruise. Going down to islands are fun, i hope that i can go down to different ports. I think we need at least 1 week to enjoy every single facilities possible including different restaurants and different menus. Anthem of the seas cruise ship is considered old and i really saw some equipments are down for maintenance. Refreshing of modern gaming machines and more facilities for the kids will be good. I think personally as an adult, i am satisified with the services and facilities. For us, we just want to chill and not work our brains. 😆 Probably will not take any form of cruise till 2028 onwards.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - My Loots from Penang [Penang]

Basically, never really bought much from Penang. Majority were just my daughter's stuffs, cookies, biscuits and gifts to family and friends. But the Penang White Coffee [Red Packet] was great and not that sweet. Blue one is quite normal. As for the biscuits, it is not bad as we are able to test before buying it. So it is safe to buy. I think samples are important, else it either land into the bin or have to eat it no matter what. 😅 Can't really buy much as we had limited space for carrying. But we were be back to Penang soon for more good stuffs and cafe hopping.

4th Year Death Anniversary [2025]

It had been exactly 4 years since you had left us and we hope that you are currently going through a new phase of life. But as long i am still alive, you will always be missed and be in our memories. Lesson learnt and i had soften up recently. You gave me strength to learn and be better and be more serious in whatever i do. As long we put in our best effort, whatever outcome depends on fate and luck. 28 March 2021 will always be the most impactful date in my life. Perhaps it is a special bond we shared and i wished you all the way either in heaven or in the afterlife. 😗

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Unesco World Heritage Chew Jetty [Penang]

Came to one of Penang's Unesco Chew Jetty. There are actually many other jetties along this junction of the road, but as time permits, we attended the most famous jetty. Seems that they maintain the traditional jetty vibes and there are actually real people staying here instead of shops. Some of the homes, they even stated not to take any form of photography or videos in their private space. I think some shops even told tourists not to take picture at their shops. 😅 So above is just the gist of what they have there. There are some restaurants in the area, but be sure to bring umbrella, in case of rain or even to try and shield off some of the sun. Though i felt that there is nothing much, but you can get some pictures here. Unless u goes all the jetty, then probably half a day. Else i think you can schedule here for 1 hour trip.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Gurney Drive Hawker Center [Penang]

Came here which is just a short walk away from Gurney Plaza. There were many local delights being covered here and it started almost evening time. Stingray were quite ok as it is about RM30 to RM40. Satay were ok as well. The asam laksa however is not that good as there are better ones in the island itself. Sugarcane were pretty normal as well. But toys were affordable and pretty interesting. But if i were to visit Penang again, will probably skip this place.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Bionic Robot Bar

Its really nice to have such innovation and to explore and enjoy both the non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks. And this is achieved without a bartender there to mix your drinks. What you need to operate is the Sailpass card and the option to select the drinks you want. There were many types of customization and even fixed drinks if you are the type that couldn't decide. We tried the Non-Alcoholic version and it was ok because we are also clueless what drink is the best. Price wise is quite okay. One of the staff is there to help you if you faced any issue with the system. Soooo Bartender is out of job now. 😅

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Penang Road Famous Teochew Chendul

Located at the actual location, we had been here for the third time. But the quality isn't as great as what we tried. It is just the hype and it somehow only attracts all the foreigners or other part of the states to try the food here. I believe the gems might be at another hidden place in Penang where the true locals will visit. So we ordered the Penang Char Kuay Tiao with duck egg, Nasi Lemak and Chendol. Very clearly, all were at 3/10. Only here for the vibe thats all since we were there for the local goodies.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Toh Soon Cafe [Penang]

At this point, we were quite hungry already after coming down from our cruise to onshore, Penang Island. ☺️ Had came Penang for the 4th times. 2 times by Car and 2nd time by cruise. Hence, i might be planning for a travel to Penang by flight likely next year to focus more on the island highlights further. So after we got down, there were many local tours and private hire services at the port. But from what i see, it is quite pricey, probably those who don't know will probably engage it. For us, we just simply start our journey from our own grab ride which cost less than RM10. First stop is Toh Soon Cafe which was relatively famous among the locals for its retro and traditional charcoal toasts. As above, we ordered a few dishes as we are planning for more later but we are also hungry at the same time. Think i don't need to comment on individual dishes. All were great and we really enjoy it. Fortunately the crowd was not that many as it is quite late. So we immediately got a seat and began ordering. Personally i don't really like the runny eggs on toast, but this was suprisingly good. My wife also said that the packet Nasi Lemak was good as well.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Jamie Oliver Restaurant

As of today, many Uncle Roger's news for his new marriage as well as his restaurants in Malaysia. On the contrary, you often heard uncle roger criticize Jamie Oliver on his cooking. Jamie Oliver however is more well known for its cooking recipe book rather than being a chef. So I always wanted to try both and provide a better review. I decided to book like many months earlier before the cruise as I worried that the restaurant might be fully booked. But i am surprised that it is not as full as expected. The menu had many choices. I ordered more than 2 mains, starters, sides and desserts. These are what i had ordered:

1) Ultimate Garlic Buns - Soft tear & share bread, veggie Parmesan, rosemary
2) Squid Fritti - Crispy fried squid, garlic mayo, lemon

3) Super Salmon - Crispy-skinned salmon, charred sprouting broccoli, vibrant veg couscous, chilli, tomato salsa cruda

4) Penne Carbonara - Creamy pasta, smoky pancetta, slow-cooked leeks, aged Parmesan

5) Truffle Tagliatelle - Luxurious silky truffle butter, veggie Parmesan, nutmeg, shaved truffle

6) Steak Fries with sea salt

7) Polenta Chips

8) Pasta Bake - Pasta Spirals, Jamie's secret seven-veg sauce, cheesy breadcrumb topping

9) Ice-Cream

10) Specialty Fruit Punch

Basically, for this paying restaurant, you already paid a fixed price. Only Drinks or alcohol is additional cost, other than that, if you can finish the food, you basically can order them all, provided you can finish them. We still order two more cakes from the dessert menu and brought it back into our room to enjoy along the sea. Other than [7] and [8], the rest of the food were surprisingly delicious. The Super Salmon, i would give it a 6/10, whereas the rest of the dishes were clearly above 7/10. Hence I find this is really worth every pennies spent for this meal. The little one did ate her pasta, fries and her favourite vanilla ice cream. The only problem is we are not able to eat so much at our age now.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Starbucks OnBoard The Cruise !

Although not a full fledged Starbucks menu, but its sufficient amount of Starbucks goodness. They are basically using real Starbucks beans to brew. They have large varieties of cakes, even whole cakes as well. But only thing is everything is in USD. 😮‍💨 We had tried some cold and hot coffees and its ok. Probably giving 6/10 as compared from the shores. We just took the free cakes from opposite. 😆

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Italian Dining Hall - Dinner

Its the free dinner and every room had their respective time slot and reserved table for the daily dinner. Unfortunately, i didn't get to try this till the final last dinner before reaching Singapore the next day morning. So they had a sort of farewell parade with all the chefs and crews. We had our nice pick of dishes in the italian theme menu and they even throw in a free dish which we did not order. We were actually quite full from the heavy lunch earlier in the day. But we still managed to finish all and this time, the food and drinks were great. As its the last night, they even squeeze in a wonderful 70% off dinner package for the paying restaurant, but seriously i told them that we can't eat anymore. I guess they just want to earn more $$ and also finish their food stock before reaching Singapore. But what i can guranteed you is, if you come to Royal Caribbean, you will never be hungry ! 😬 Loves the service and clean environment.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - American Icon Dining Hall Brunch

Actually came here right after our breakfast at Windjammer as a second round breakfast. But this restaurant offers brunch, so it caters for both breakfast and lunch. Also to add that i am already quite full before we came here. This is yet another free restaurant, but its not buffet style but rather ala-carte ordering via their brunch menu. The menus does offers many option and food that can make you felt very full regardless of your appetite. So we just ordered Royal Chicken Sandwich, French Toast and apple cobbler. My wife said the chicken meat isn't good. Same for the apple cobbler, but the ice cream is safe. French Toast pretty normal standard, but overall the dish is abit too sweet. So what we enjoy is the service + the seaview corner seat, thats all for this breakfast session as after this, we are preparing to get down to Penang Island soon.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Silk Restaurant Breakfast

This is another free to go restaurant where i access 2 days of breakfast. Food were more or less the same, but at least when i visit the second time for breakfast, some of items offered were different. That is good for people who always come everyday. 😮‍💨 Amazingly, the rice krispies, bacon and baguette is surpisingly good. The rest were quite below average which i also try very hard not to expect so much. But at least the service, beverages were quite good.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Windjammer Buffet

Windjammer is a buffet restaurant in Royal Caribbean cruise where everyone can enter to sit in an unoccupied table, first come first served basis. The food there were typically free and have large variety of choices to eat. Table, seats and view were great here too. You will never feel hungry here as it is available for you for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well ! I went only once to Windjammer for one of the breakfast session as i had reserved for all other meals either at other paying restaurants or free zones. All in all, it is good and have lots of varieties ranging from chinese, indian, western, meats cut, breads and many more. But for me, i'm rather picky and probably gave this spread a 5.5/10.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Performance Arts Music

The performance of them doing Music Arts were great. Using ladders, sticks and their shoes to create sound patterns and music is refreshing for quite a late night performance. The theatre is already quite big and it managed to attract many people to sit in. I think outside at this timing around 9pm is still crowded with people at the shopping alley, casino, pubs and cafes. Didn't expect my baby girl still know how to watch these scenes, despite being very tired and sleepy then. 

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Too many restriction for a kid 😕

Haiyaa, being a kid really boring. So much energy, but yet can't play so many things. Of course, casino will need to wait for at least 2 more decades before can officially sit down and gamble. Of course gambling is bad, but a little fun is okay. 😁 Maybe countdown to this kind of car ride or bumper car. Even such ride, she also need to be at least 4 years old or reaches a certain height before being eligible to enter with a parent. Exactly one year ago, she is at genting, malaysia, but thats worst, not a single ride can play as she was only one year old. No choice, probably next cruise might be 2 to 3 years later from now. The problem is North Star is the special ride from Royal Caribbean - Anthem of the Seas, but also had the same criteria. Still have to reach certain height and age in order to go in with parent. Oh well, didn't expect this, so all she could do for now is to see see and have fun elsewhere on this cruise. However, this is still her official first Cruise ride as a 2 years old girl. 😉

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Jewellery Shop Events

There are tons of shops in this cruise. Easily can see about 8 different shops or booth and this is one of them. I can say we always come here, not that i like to come here, but because of the freebies, my wife wants to collect them all. But because of this, you will tend to see lots of ugly side of things. Usually i am talking about the customers who came to collect the free things. Collecting is fine, but people start to do things their own way by pushing around others, snatch to keep and come to collect again when the organiser provide specific instructions to stay where you are so that they can come to everyone to give one piece per person. In Royal Caribbean, its considered not so bad already. When you start going for the cheaper cruise, you will understand what i mean. 😅 Its clearly not because of the money or price, its the human nature that comes out of them. I tried not to make it so obvious. But if everyone is civilised, the world will be a better place. We just follow instructions for the lucky draw and take what we are given and walk off. Easy as that.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Room, items and Safety Preparation

Selected the highest floor balcony Room at level 13 near the starboard side in the middle. Not only it is close to the lift, but i can simply walk up one floor for the swimming pool and unlimited food and drinks above. View is also important as it is unblock view of the sea wide or islands while cruising or docked. Better think and decide the right room for your next cruise. Aside from this, i also bought the 12 1-litre bottles of Evian Mineral Water to stay hyrated throughout the cruising. They do offer water at the restaurant, although many bring their bottle to refill water, but its not allowed. Other drinks were quite sweet actually, so cannot drink sweet drinks all the time. But instead of 12 bottles of 1-litre, they provided me 24 bottles of 500ml which is ok as well. As for my kid, we bring several bottles of our own filtered water for making milk and for her to drink. One more thing is the Royal Caribbean app, now we can do all the safety briefing which is mandatory by law. Last time, we still need to gather at a place to see live demonstration. Now we just do via the app and have to esign it. LOL ! I guess throughout the years, things are improving and thats good.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Wonderland Imaginative Cuisine

Bought this on the very first day because there was a 1 for 1 promotion which is crazier than the pre-cruise deals. 😑 So for dinner, it costs at USD70.79 [SGD94++] for 2 adults and its free for my daughter. Normally, from the menu, usually anyone can only ordered one appetizer, one main course and one dessert per pax. But from all my earlier cruise trips, i knew that we can order multiple orders, so i managed to try multiple different appetizer, mains and desserts for this meal which truly outweighs the value of what we paid. The Rib "I" Luscious Short Rib with Bordelaise Sauce, Halibut Cooked in Clear Paper with Mushrooms and Potato, Wonton Soup with jelly and noodles, Mad Hatten's Crispy Mac & Cheese Fries with homemade tomato ketchup, Liquid Lobster with bone marrow and caviar, Mad Hatter's Purple Potted Shrimp with crispy crump and scotch bonnet, Crispy Crab Cones with cilantro, avocado mousse and ohba leaf, The World chocolate dessert, alice's back to front fruit salad with hot yogurt and maple syrup ice cream.

Overall, its a nice experience where kid or adults are able to use the magic water and brush to unveil the magic menu so that we can make the order upon entering. But the entire meal process takes around 2 hours of dining time. Could be restless for kids, but for adults, its nice to have a good time talking trash while waiting for the waiter to introduce, explain and demostrate the magic of each dishes. So we managed to order more than what we can. Of course, didn't managed to order all because there is a limit to what we can eat. We also order a special cocktail which we have to pay extra. But my wife is holding on to the Royal Caribbean Gold Membership so every speciality drink is 50% off which is a total steal. Throughout we do enjoy Wonderland and recommend for others to try.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Immigration Procedures and Process

Ok need to start with the boring stuff first. First thing first, any size of the luggage that can check in with your flight is also allowed in the cruise. But need to take note that the large Non-Hand Carried need to check in from Singapore Immigration and Royal Cabribbean will emailed you the label tag to print and stable onto your luggage. Hand carried luggage will be fine to bring in, but will go through security checks at the scanning machines. The Royal cabbribean will still need to check your boarding pass + passport. Boarding pass will be emailed to you when you do your check in before sailing 3 days and before, so best to do it early as i did 1 month ago. But Singapore Immigration in Singapore Cruise Center is so much different than what i did during my regular Malaysia Singapore commuting. Over here, no passport required and i didn't even need to scan my fingerprint. All i need to do is look at the machine and walk through, totally took like 15 seconds and pass through the gantry. So fast ! Then fast forward to going down Penang, all we need is to bring the sail pass card and we are out for our Penang trip. There will be many taxi and private tour over at penang jetty. Normally a small family size, just book the grab to go around should be fine and much cheaper. Overheard some charged them for over RM400 for only 4 hours ride. Mine entire 4 grabs car ride costs lesser than RM80 for three pax. So private rides isn't necessary at all. Then back and out to Singapore, just Sail pass is sufficient, but still think passport still necessary to bring around lah. Why am i saying this? Because my last cruise trip procedures were different, passport is always necessary and cruise will safekeep our passport. But this time its different, we are holding on to our passport most of the time. So yeah this is more for the immigration processes.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Cafe@Two70 Review

This is one of the free food cafe with some option of paid drinks and food. This is our first stop upon entering the cruise in the afternoon. Some of the retails as well as the casino was not opened yet as the cruise is still docked in Singapore. So far the food in this cafe is average, but there are ample choices. The orange juice on the first day is very solid and thick. But became less thick in the following days, not sure why there is a standard difference. In terms of seats, there are good enough amount of seats in this area.

Royal Caribbean 2025 - Anthem Of the Sea

Starting today, the daily post will be running a series of in depth Royal Caribbean trip for my 4 days till end of March 2025. Overall, Royal Caribbean is considered as a more premium Cruise ship experience compared to some other Asian Cruise which is focused more on Local Asia taste. Typically, i had already booked this cruise two years back while it is much cheaper than today. I usually book all my trips or overseas trip at least 2 years in advance and paid all. This is to prevent more expensive holidays as prices are rising everyday over the world. 

Super Robot War Original Generation 2 [Complete]

Finally managed to complete Super Robot War OG2 at last ! Its quite a difficult game at first. But after understanding fully the game mechanics, you will be able to handle the game well at all stages. But of course the last stage is the one that is different from the rest of the stages. The Solution or spoiler is to have one or two of your mech that have Fury Spirit equipped with Energy Taker weapon and use it at the above last boss every start of the turn to sap out all its energy. Without doing this, its practically impossible to win against this boss. I think everyone is hoping for Original Generation 3 which is likely won't be releasing.

Important to buy your Paying Restaurant or stuffs before sailing day

As i bought my Cruise 2 years ago, throughout these two years, i had been receiving many pre-cruise deals to purchase what i need beforehand. Why it is important? Because not only it is relatively cheaper, but you can also book and secure your slot in the specific restaurants. My previous Royal Caribbean cruise trip, i tried their Izumi Sushi Restaurant, but the Ramen is not good, totally gave 1/10 and feedback to the manager, they only waive one ramen out. But again, that time we walk in and didn't pre order before the sailing day. We thought that the paying restaurant were usually better than the free restaurants. But its not the case. So this time, we skipping Izumi Sushi and opt for the Jamie's Italian Restaurant. Yeah if you know, this is the Jamie Oliver that Uncle Roger always criticize him. Now Uncle Roger started a restuarant of his own and many criticize him also. 😅

Last Minute add-ON for both Cruise + Car Ride

Basically some last minute purchase before boarding the cruise. Adhesive Waterproof Flim Dressing to cover my wound during water activities, Eno for indigestion issue as previous cruise trip few years back, i'm having a hard time after eating so much food and literally a few pizzas on my own. Causing great discomfort to my stomach and i swear that I was having a bad time last time round. So just a precaution to have it on hand. Snacks for chilling in the room with the little one. Motion Sickness patches is extremely important as we encountered many vomit cases outside or within the vehicle. Trying out this brand, if it proves to be good, will recommend in my next few posts after using it. Especially on a sunny day and bumpy grab rides in Penang island.

My 8th Cruise Trip with Anthem Of The Sea - Royal Caribbean

As the title goes, this is my 8th Cruise Trips and this time, it is Anthem Of The Sea - Royal Caribbean. This is also my daughter first time to board on a cruise ship so that she can learn and have fun at the same time. I booked and fully paid this trip 2 years ago back in 2023 for this 2025 trip. So yeah, not only its cheaper, but also still paying the 8% GST instead of the current 9% GST + all the price hikes throughout these years. So its like paying a balcony room for 3 pax and will go to penang for half a day and go back for $1200. 

Preparation of Recording Devices

Today is officially my Day 1 of checking into Royal Caribbean - Anthem Of The Seas. Of course besides bringing my Samsung Z Fold 5 + S24 Ultra which is more than good enough, this is actually a good time to play around with these devices. However, i'm disappointed that my Insta 360 X4 is having issue reading the microSD card. Had tested two different working microSD cards and both are not working on this device, but able to read from my PC. File System also is correct. It was working before, but it failed on me during my CNY River HongBao 2025 and this time on this cruise trip. Oh well, got to live with what i have now and go with the flow. For my Royal Caribbean Anthem Of The Seas Review Series, i will share more on the daily post after my trip.

Monster Hunter Wilds exceeds Steam Deck's Limits !

As i did my pilot testing at the last two demo testing of Monster Hunter Wild on my Steam Deck, didn't get to work on it. But during the second testing, i did it on my Desktop PC and able to work. However, the performance is rather terrible and partly because my Nintendo Switch controller unable to work very well with my PC controls. So yeah, didnt have large hope of playing it on Steam Deck. At $99, i am reluctant to purchase it. Still on the decision of getting either Nintendo Switch 2 or Playstation 5 Slim. Gave up on playing Monster Hunter Wild in 2025.

Fidelity Money Market Fund [USD]

Investing in Money Market fund is not new for me since i had invested in many other Money Market funds in Singapore and in SGD. This is probably my first USD money market fund and i planned to keep investing and riding on Donald Trump's USA. Although Crypto market at the point of this posting is low, but i think its going to crash even further soon. Better go low risk is better. I believed together with all other funds, stocks, FD and precious metals, its going to grow slowly and consistent.

Sembawang Hot Spring 2025

Came to Sembawang Hot Spring to have some breakfast and walk around the nature. Still can see many uncles and aunties sitting there to soak their feets and cooking eggs using the hot spring water. Food there is soso but people often said their fried rice were good. But didn't eat the fried rice. The bee hoon got wok hey but abit too oily. Mee siam dry one is ok. The luncheon meat and egg bread soso also. But at least you enjoy the peace and aircon inside. Not much change in the area.
