Ordered the regular 1 for 1 from grabfood during the rainy day and it took 45mins from cooking to delivery to my home. Not bad actually, but not sure why i still receive promo code for 1 free regular pizza for late delivery. Ordered one thin crust and one stuff crust and both is hawaiian pizza. To me is still not bad. I personally love stuff crust pizza. But not sure why this time, the quality seem to lose to Pizza Hut's standard.

Haha so what does it tell? There are many perspective to this. Because of AI, companies don't need temp staffs. Temp Staffs can no longer gain any minor experiences. But jobs require to have experience. On the good side, companies can now save cost and hired lesser staffs as it can deploy many instances of AI to help with the businesses. Well, its nothing surprising. This time they stole US$1.5 billion in crypto which is the largest of all time. Now Banks who isn't go into crypto is laughing the most and will be proving their case. Imagine your crypto suddenly gone, like how FTS screwed everyone previously is going to be a sad moment. Of course if the price is tumbling, some people might take advantage of the fall, but some might need to suck it up by holding it long term again. Fortunately, i sold it all when the price is up and grab all my profits. I personally still considered it as a dangerous grade of investment.

Oppo Find N5 Launch !!

Wow, i got to say probably this will be my number 1 foldable device in 2025. Unfortunately, despite the $300 discount now, it is still a very expensive device. Judging from its Oppo Find N3, the value is quite solid. As tested from the demo set in store, i really love the thinness and build. With the above Prestige Service Program, it shows that Oppo really provide very good service and assurance to its device so that we can have a piece of mind. For now, i'm holding on to Z Fold 5, S24 Ultra and S23 Ultra, hence doesn't really justified my purchase for this. But maybe i might get this if the value goes down or during 2026. For now, i can guranteed that it is a good purchase for anyone who wants to go into Fold device.

Jumbo Seafood @ ION Part 2 | 2025

Came here again for the second visit at Jumbo ION. Utilized the $100 voucher again and get the atas ION Mall points + KrisFlyer points again. Felt that we really can't eat much nowadays, hence tried to order soup and simple dishes this time round. The soon hock is specially requested as they did not have the deep fried option with Soy Sauce edition. Its all right, but didn't have the best result as the steamed version. But still enjoying the omega rich fish roe very much. Despite ordering this quantity, we still felt very full with two pax, but still enjoy our time there.

The Manhattan Fish Market is done in Singapore

Oh no, The Manhattan Fish Market close its last outlet in NorthPoint and exited Singapore market. Seem that it is not only them, over these few months, many businesses had been closing their last outlet in Singapore. It seems that the rental costs might be the main culprit. But it can be people isn't spending much also as times were bad. But certainly not a good sign.

My final Part Time Studies for Career Change

This comes at the right time especially for me. As long i had a Full Time Job and enrolled into a Part Time Study, i am able to get $300 per month as a monthly allowance. On top of my new $4000 SkillFuture credits, i am able to learn some better skills to stay relevant for my next phase of old age career. A few of career i had in mind, but still got a few good months to decide the important skill to last long.

Facts on Unemployement

Its a real fact that many got hit with global unemployment. Those who are employed have no choice but to stay with low paying jobs. Many also got laid off, but to valid leave taking, but apparently companies still don't like people who takes MC, hospitalization leave, child care leave or even maternity leave. Just that some people don't want to admit to this and kept promoting and encouraging people to take more child care leave and give birth more. Unfortunately, the real facts often is not said out, but many citizens felt the hit for a very long time. No choice, and have to survive on.

KFC Chicken Skin Review

I ordered the new Chicken Skin from KFC. I am surprised for the quantity in the box on just how much chicken skin is in it. Unfortunately, i couldn't finish all because it was too salty. Not sure if it is because of a certain branch, but i think the recipe should be consistent. But if taken a few pieces per person, should be good enough as it is way too salty to be frank.

Jeep EW112 Review

After using it for the past weeks, i got to say that it is light and solid sounds. Didn't really try via calls, but both mobile gaming, watching youtube videos and music is very solid ! For $19.90 for two boxes of this Jeep EW112 wireless earbuds, it is dirt cheap and outperform many other budget earbuds. It really satisify my daily commuting in noisy train. Charging it is also easy as i just have to plug in my laptop or PC as i am always working in office or home so draining the battery empty is often impossible. Really deserve getting this.

Malaysia selected Bus Tram [ART]

Sigh, at least Light Rail Transit [LRT] will be a better option in terms of carrying large volume of passengers. This should be the aim, not compromising usability over cost. As long if the service is well used and well maintained, i believe it will bring further benefit and profit to the system. Anyways, we have no say after all. Got to resign to fate what the Malaysia Government had decided. But regardless of ART or LRT, i will be using it. 😊

Food Junction at Tampines Century Square

Was at Century Square to do some important errand. So we had our dinner at the food court in Tampines Century Square. The price is extremely 🙄, really hard to pay nowadays. I ordered Salmon Set at $14.90, but the fish is extremely thin. Drinks cost me $7 bucks easily. My wife ordered Zhao Kuay Tiao and cost $7, but doesn't taste good also. In all, we spent a total of $$28.90 in a food court and i think i would had better top up abit to eat in a restaurant. Think better make a better choice next time. Food court isn't affordable unlike the good old days.

Crystal Jade at Takashimiya

Even with the chinese new year surcharge, Crystal Jade is still affordable at $260+ for 6+1 pax. Food is not bad even during the lunar new year. This is the kind of price that i can accept compared to the lower portion yet expensive at $400+ at Wah Lok Restaurant. Crystal Jade have membership but didn't sign up, so points were wasted. But i don't think i will come here often. 

Shingles Vaccine

Wah liao nowadays so many people talking about Shingles.. I felt that we are like living in the disease world and the world is becoming more sick. So many vaccines to take in order to protect ourselves, to make matter worst, some might even unable to tahan the vaccine and pass on. Secondly, nowadays vaccine are very costly and richer people or old people have better access. What breaks my heart is the middle income group which is really the worst hit. Can either breakthrough or can only suffer halfway. Sigh. Anyway, it seems that people who had chicken pox have higher risk of getting shingles... The thing is i had chicken pox when i'm a kid. 😑

Dian Xiao Er 店小二 during CNY

Yeah as usual, eating in restaurant during CNY is expensive and they usually extend to Day 15 of the Lunar New Year. So there isn't much discount or promotions during this period. However, we are looking for quick dinner and there isn't much people at this time hence will just settled for our favourite Roasted Duck and Roasted Iberico Char Siew. Fortunately, the standard is still at top notch and enjoyed the deep taste of both their duck and char siew. Definitely one of the best place to recommend !

Monster Hunter Wild Open Beta Test 2 Personal Review

End of the day of testing on PC Hardware on this Beta test, it really doesn't matter much as they did not put in the improvement from the last pre-launch beta Test 1 updates. Updates will be applied on the launch game version happening at the end of this month. Hence it doesn't make sense of the gameplay, but rather for me to familiarise with my hammer equipments and game mechanics. Can't say much on the graphics as i don't think there is issue with my graphic card, just that the resolution of the game is pretty terrible than expected. I certainly will wait out and let other players go through the initial flow first.

Monster Hunter Wild Open Beta Test 2

Tested the Monster Hunter Wild Open Beta Test 2, but still cannot play properly on Steam Deck. Still not seeing any shit on the maps. Only can see Main Screen and caption and arrows in the screen. FPS isn't keeping up either. Unfortunately, Monster Hunter Wild is not available on my Playstation 4 PRO. Its only available on PS5. 😅 At least, it works on my Desktop PC with RTX2060, but yet to try on my gaming laptop with RTX3060. Gaming isn't cheap, at SGD$99 for Monster Hunter Wild is totally crazy in a sense. Will definitely wait patiently for further discount. But something i will do in 2025 is to upgrade my PS4 PRO to PS5 PRO or queue for Nintendo Switch 2 launch day ! 

Uncle Roger Fuiyoh is opening at Mid Valley !

Estimation shows that he might be opening Uncle Roger's Fuiyoh! Restaurant at JB Mid Valley Southkey around March 2025. Many mixed reviews from KL side that the fried rice is isn't on par. But mostly go just for the first time experience. Not really going for the food, hence people will need to lower their expectations.

Orchid Country Club

In fact, there are so-called hotels, grand ballroom and several restaurants there. I took the free shuttle bus from Yishun MRT to Orchid Country Club and return back to Yishun MRT via the same shuttle bus. There is also a NTUC to shop for groceries. Its indeed bigger than i thought and it is a nice place to relax. However, it is confirmed that Orchid Country Club lease will expire after 2030 and there were be no further extension, hence all these things will end and its going to be part of a history. 

Budget 2025 Singapore on 18 Feb 2025

As above, our PM will be delivering the budget 2025 speech this coming 18 Feb 2025 at 3.30PM. Everyone knows that this is not going to be an easy budget considering that many important decisions is riding on this. Firstly, elections are coming, special treats will be here. But US had been stirring many world issues that could impact Singapore's Economy as well. So i guess the government might balance some finances in the last moment. However as a Singaporean, i hope all policies will benefit fellow Singaporeans, especially in the low income and low "mid-income" group.

Happy Birthday to my Wife !

Happy Birthday to my Wife ! This year, i had gotten the Strawberry Fresh Cream Cake from Paris Baguette NorthPoint. I booked 3 days earlier to collect it. I got to say that the cream is comparable with Chateraise quality or maybe better. Cake is enough for at least 6 paxs at SGD$60. Free candles, Happy Birthday sign and even two matchsticks ! So i guess its good to bring it and celebrate almost everywhere. Both the blueberry and strawberry are fresh and delicious. 

CNY Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice

Had been eating Wee Nam Kee Chicken rice for so many years. Unfortunately, the one closest to where i stayed at NorthPoint had been closed for good. The only one i ate is at United Square. But while visiting relative at Jurong Point, Wee Nam Kee is operating there and even during CNY, so went to have my lunch/dinner there. But of course, they are charging extra as usual for CNY period. Fortunately, it turns out well and delicious ! Standard maintained !

Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant

We are back again at Wah Lok Cantonese Restaurant after two years for Chinese New Year. During this time, its like paying double, but no choice. This is the golden time to come. Overall damage is $400 for 6 adults + 1 baby. I would say that service and environment is indeed good. Food wise, the quality is just ok for its price, but quantity is at its lowest price point. Anyways, still enjoy the moment.

River Hong Bao CNY 2025

Here again for 2025 River Hong Bao 2025. This year, the crowd is extremely a lot ! But we went down in the evening, just nice for the lighting show and various decorations at Garden By The Bay. Mcdonald was largely packed, but still managed to grab a seat for our dinner. Overall it is packed with activities for everyone, but there was a light drizzling so weather is humid and hot. But thats CNY at River Hong Bao 😬

Fluoride in tap water causes Low IQ?!

Well, i got to agree that tap water is relatively safe as compared to many other countries. I know our government will do their best not to harm our public safety. However, i find some comments quite interesting too. If the sole purpose is to prevent tooth decay, our toothpaste are doing that job. Circulating the extra fluoride into our body is isn't good at all. Nevertheless, it is also our own responsiblity to do our own diligence. I got an extra filter dispenser to filter the water further for my children to drink water. So its extra safe. I think the public in Singapore don't need to overreact on this at the moment.

Microsoft in talks of acquiring TikTok

Well, not that i am against Elon Musk to acquire TikTok. As both an investor of both Microsoft and Tesla, in fairness, my personal opinion is to let Microsoft acquire TikTok rather than Elon Musk since Elon Musk already acquire Twitter and renamed as X. I would preferred TikTok to be as its own, but in order not for US to ban TikTok and continue operating in US, we had no choice but to let one of them to acquire it. Microsoft would be a better choice as they can now put some resources and integrate maybe in Windows 12 or within their gaming platform, XBox. So yeah, i wish Microsoft will get hold of TikTok !

Super Robot Wars T [Playstation 4]

Managed to unwrap my PS4 Super Robot Wars T purchased since 6 months ago at $20 from a Carousell seller. Its a habit that i purchased a game when it is at record low price, where most of my games are still wrapped up. Didn't had the time to play. Managed to play this title and i got to say that it is extremely fun since i already had experience playing SRW titles. Immediately spring into normal mode and managed to go through 10 episodes within 3 hours. But the medicination is making me tired. But at least i can say that this is a good game and my current PS4 Pro which lasts more than half a decade is still functioning well.

DeepSeek | Born of China AI

The Chinese AI chatbot, DeepSeek had been rolled out and it has caused a storm. Not only NVIDIA had sinked down which also affected myself as a NVIDIA's Investor, it also affect Singapore stock market, particularly in Data Center REITS stock. I had not tried DeepSeek yet, but certainly love ChatGPT, but the problem is the cost. If DeepSeek, became much powerful and its free, i will review their security and personal data regulation before trying it out. This is only the beginning, let's see how NVIDIA and US's AI firms particularly OpenAI going to react from here.

Exclusive Ox 牛 General Forecast Lunar 2025

Of all the different readings, i like this the best from Suntec City SG haha. Its biased, but everyone love it when its goes into their favour. Well i hope its true, but this is just general readings for all the Ox out there. But it really depends on the respective born year and Bazi. Had not checked for this year Bazi Reading, but focusing on some lucky items instead. 2026 will be the year for me to do a career change, hence this year will focus more on deciding my job class and train towards it. As long i go with the flow and remain quiet, this year will be a good year and have to focus more on my overall health well being and need to tolerate people better.

Happy Lunar New Year Eve to all. MAS is easing monetary policy for the first time in the past 5 years. This would bring down core inflation as forecasted. It will also potentially bring down inflation cost to rise, but the cons are increasing unemployment rates resulting to people spending less and taking up lesser loans. Good or bad, we still need to play the game as fellow citizens, but need to know whats the impact of these policies.

I'm BACK on Summoners' War | Summoners' War X Demon Slayer Collaboration

As the title goes, i had just downloaded back and started anew for Summoners' War. Somehow got attracted with the latest collab and this game had been a pain in terms of grinding and achieving the rarest runestones. Its a very old game, but certainly not an easy game to play. Not starting as a competitive playing, playing as a casual basis only. I think my old account had nowhere to be found, but i believed i had gone far beyond previously. Life is about gaming and revisiting again to enjoy while it lasts. Let's see long i will play this before i put a stop to it again. 😅

The strategy is probably longer lasting fullness and low in sugar and no Cholesterol at all if you don't add butter spread though. Lastly for Glycemic index value, anything is below 55 is considered good which is measured at 37. Taste wise, still can accept. Anything beneficial for your health, i have no complaint.

Minion Land is coming to USS on 14 Feb 2025 !

Illumination's Minion Land is coming to Universal Studio Singapore [USS] coming 14 February 2025. For Singaporeans, Adult fare is $74 and children above 3 years old is $59. They target Minion theme to launch on 14 Feb 2025 probably for teenagers and adults to celebrate Valentine's Day. Saw the sneak peek, actually it is quite nice and the shop carry many minions too. It will definitely have tons of visitors on the first day. Just be prepared and at this point of posting, there are still slots for 14 February 2025 tickets.

Tik Tok Service had been restored in the US

It was down on 19 January 2025 [Sunday] for US users for Tik Tok. On 20 January 2025 [Monday], services had been restored and many Tik Tok users were happy ! Well to date, although it is up, Tik Tok will still need to work with Trump Administration to make it work permanently. Looks like their solution is to have US owns 50% of tiktok which is crazy. But hope Tik Tok will find a better way to stay in the US as i personally used Tik Tok and it was not bad to be frank. It is still considered as the ultimate Portrait Social Media Platform !

Kwong Cheong Thye Chicken Rice Chilli Sauce

Went to the exact Kwong Cheong Thye factory at Senoko. Bought a few products and this is one of them. Well, its not to my liking though, but my wife said that it is ok since this is Singapore style. I preferred it to be more acidity and lime taste to it. But i think hard to get those kind of flavour in Off the Shelf in can form, might need to diy those types of chilli. So i think overall is quite ok, but not to my preference.

Nintendo Switch 2 Announcement is disappointing !

Well, Nintendo just released their teaser on 16 Jan 2025 recently. Its just so disappointing. As you know that Nintendo Switch 1 released on 2017, it had been 8 long years. With this kind of overdue upgrade, Switch 2 teaser is just showing minor upgrade which is not truly an upgrade at all. Yeah, they are not revealing any software upgrades or application features. So as per analyst mentioned, its really lack of surprise. But then i'll will upgrade due to the fact that i had not upgraded my first gen Switch launch from the "Gen 1+" and OLED edition. So it made more sense for me to upgrade.

I can understand this report very much, as i am both a Starhub investor and subscriber. The signal in the MRT is really very bad for Starhub being used its services for more than 15 years. Today Simba is providing really lot of perks and very affordable value for all consumers. In the past, simba used to be bad for its signal strength, but today it had improve drastically so much. Best of all, they recently provide like 700GB local data and it can be utilised over at Malaysia as well ! That is the ultimate plus point since many Singaporeans and Malaysians travelled around these places everyday. It had ended the day where one have to hold on to Singapore Sim card and Malaysia Sim Card.

Normally for the past few years before Gardenia raised price, i am still getting 10 cents discount from Ang Mo Supermarket. Recently the same white bread had raised to $2.50. My downstairs Ang Mo Supermarket did it again by reducing 15 cents every purchase. This is what you called real cashback !

[Clash Royale] Royal Chef + Mirror Boost is insane !

Fighting in a ranked battle with both Tower 14. With the new addition of Royal Chef Tower Build + my usual Mirror Card, I'm able to upgrade my Valkyrie to Level 17 in a Level 14 battle. This is really insane. Of course it takes certain condition to make this happen, and probably 1 out of 20 matches to be able to fight with a Level 17 troop. Clash Royale is really awesome no matter how i see it, but the recent balancing patch really made my Queen less effective, but still able to function well. 

Mister Donut X Pokemon | NorthPoint

Mister Donut had opened in Northpoint for quite some time. Nowadays, not much people queue up for this and the limits of certain donuts had been lifted. Recently there is collabration with Pokemon, so try to support them again. But well, still prefer the traditional donuts than these modern donuts. I remembered something like Donut Factory was good, but closed for good. Sigh.. i felt its a hype for these stores and to be frank, donuts cost so much. Bought it because they looks nice and is limited. Bought the Special Pokemon Bundle at SGD$16.

To perfect my "Self-Discipline" to meet my goals

Kinokuniya just brought this book on their shelves and bought it during lunch time. To better sharpen my "Self-Discipline" skills with this book and also learn to eliminate distractions to achieve my goals with purpose. Life is short, its better to always plan and think ahead. Anyone can have all the knowledge in the world, but in the end, you still need to have the "GUTS" to carry out anything. I can say that things are progressing, but require more guts and knowledge to speed out the process. No matter what, i am currently enjoying the process. 😊

Maggi Aglio Olio

Bought this from NTUC Finest, 2 packets for SGD$7.35. So there will be total of 10 little packets, costing SGD0.74 per packet. But for my lunch, i cook 2 packets for myself, so its like $1.48 per meal. With no further add ons of extra ingredients, in it is the noodle + Oil + chilli taste flakes. I will give it 5/10. Still can eat but not that fantastic. So at its cost, able to fill up just right. Probably need some add ons like eggs or meat to boost up the ratings further.

Using LED Da San Yuan Mahjong as my Ezlink in 2025

After i lost my old White standard Ezlink card on a bus coinbox when my daughter threw it into the coin deposit box, i order this Mahjong Charm Simplygo Ezlink Card to use it as my daily public transport travel. As i compared many platform, Carousell and Shopee is selling so expensive. I only wanted the 發 mahjong tile, but its selling at around $35++. To order the set of three, shopee costs $88, averaging at $29.30 a piece. So decided to get the set from Lazada with an online discount at $61.80, averaging at $20.60 a piece. So will be using this from now on. 😁

Singpass ID can be change ! 2025

Seriously... I didn't know that the Singpass ID can be changed to some other ID other than NRIC. From what i know, in the very beginning, NRIC is the default and i really didn't know until this whole saga spilled out to the public. Like that i will just change to some nickname already. SIGH ! I think in the beginning, this entire Singpass thingy wasn't made very clearly. But the ACRA saga, i really don't have comments about it. But i do support the public as a whole.

Replace my TV with LG 65 inch TV !

I had replaced the newer 65 inch LG TV again. This time is a very good deal. From the original price of $890. After all the 12.12 vouchers deduction, it became $590. Combined with the signing of Singsaver Citibank credit card sign up and charge $500 to this card, singsaver will give me $400 cash via Paynow. That brings down to $190 spent on this TV. As long it can last 7 years and beyond, i think it cost so much lesser than even my phone or tablet. Its still a very good quality TV and was able to mount up using my existing mounting brackets and TV console. Consider it done !

My LG TV became faulty after almost 8 years

As above, my LG TV first bought and mounted at my new flat's TV Console feature wall in January 2017. Bought this 65 inch TV when 65 inch TV are one of the largest in 2016/2017 for almost SGD$2000, except that i totally redeemed using my renovation package $2000 electronics voucher to offset it. This TV had served me probably 5000+ hours of entertainment especially in many weekends and definitely during covid 19 lockdown. During covid 19 lockdown, its just 12 hours of good kdrama almost everyday. In terms of value, i think 7 to 8 years is decent. Repair quote is $300, when sourcing for third party repair, but unable to guaranteed that it will last a few more years.
