Before it is good and cheaper, but today not only it became more expensive, but i am getting all the burnt rice and overcooked seafood. Because of this, i no longer support them. It takes consistency to carry out a business. Once you affect your regulars, thats probably the last time you will earn.

Johor quakes a reminder that severe tremors can impact Malaysia, Singapore

Yeah it can affect anywhere in the world. Although Singapore is relatively safe, it does had its impact damaging one of the houses in Chinatown. But that is from a long time ago. But whats scary now is that Segamat District had been hit with tremors 5 times in a week. I not sure what the authorities will do for now, but it somehow will affect housing prices in the area during this time. We hope that the area will be peaceful and the earthquake will subside soon.

Last Visit at Pang Pang Kopi vegetarian Cafe at Canberra Plaza

After some lousy visit experiences at this Pang Pang Kopi vegetarian Cafe at Canberra Plaza, i went back to give another chance, however after trying out their Mee Rebus and Hainanese Chicken Curry Rice, the standard really fell short and it price. It is really sad and hope that it is better to change for other stall owner to do it. It is much worst than the previous Grove restaurant. You can try it for yourself and given the price, I can get better food elsewhere in the area.

Non-Google Play Store Apps banned in Singapore

Yeah so Singapore will start blocking apps from unverified developers such as not being listed in Google PlayStore with effect from September 2026. In a way, it is much safer. But immediate thought, Singapore Pool app is one of them as it is currently not listed in Playstore and is via sideload apps. So i guess now developers are very busy now until Sep next year.

Valid until 31 December 2028, $100 is not that bad to begin supporting SG shows. After redeem of your credits, you will be able to book events at the popular booking platforms. So from these booking platform itself, you can browse through your interested shows accordingly. I think this is a rather nice initiative.

Wow i am impressed that such facilities is to target majority of foreigners residing in JB. Probably becoming a retirement hub perhaps. 😅 Jokes aside, but in this case, i think it is also to target rich people to get into a much better healthcare needs. I doubt it will be cheap as Malaysia Government's Hospital are so much cheaper. But then, Malaysia is shortage of Specialist Medical, hence it is a good move that Thomson Medical is trying to do this.

M1 MAXX upgrading to 5G

Finally after Simba bought over M1, M1 Maxx is offering all its subscribers for free 5G. As i am using physical sim, so i will probably need to go over one of the MAXX Roadshow to exchange my 4G Sim Card for a 5G Sim Card. But having 5G connections and able to use it at many countries with just below $14 is an ultimate steal !

When i wanted to finally go down to Foon Yew Laksa few months back, they were closed. But finally there are good news that their new stall is finally going to open soon ! It is JB best and highly rated Laksa with massive amount and types of ingredient for your selection. I hope the new store's standard will be high or at least maintain at its strict standard. Will plan for a trip soon and visit them.

NDP making back to National Stadium in 2026

Yeah finally its back to our iconic National Stadium. Guess i will take this chance to bid for NDP tickets in 2026. The last time i went for NDP was back in 1996. So 2026 will be a good chance to celebrate my 30 years of return to NDP physically. That also say that i am really old now. Sigh. But i think National Stadium made as a very good venue for this purpose.

Bird of Paradise at Mandai Bird Paradise

I went to Bird Paradise and also went to eat Birds of Paradise which is famous for its ice cream. Over at the outlet, they were also selling sandwiches, waffles and beverages. But our key motive is to try the Ice Cream. Bought this for $13 for double scoop. Paid the extra $1 for the Pistachio flavor. Unfortunately the Pistachio flavor wasn't so nice, but it is still decent. The best one is the Coconut Slush which is great and you can really taste like the real coconut thingy. Not too sweet and everything were made to perfection.

AvoFresh Smashed Avocado

Bought two of the AvoFresh Avocado at 2 for $13.60. It is expensive, because it is imported from Australia and made in Australia. I thought it is just pure Avocado, but the moment i ate it. I was so WRONG. Maybe i am not used to it, but i don't think pure avocado tasted like this. It is sour, but confirmed it was not spolit. Suspect they added too much of something else, maybe to preserve it. But it sure doesn't taste so good. Think will not buy this again. 😞

Handmade Kong Bak Pau from Bee Sim

Steamed my own Kong Bak Pau. It is ok, but it is way too sinful and fatty. But i agree it should be like this. Best part that these ready made buns are so convenience. Think cannot always eat this. 😆Cost me around $5.65 per pack. Think i bought two packet for a discount. Can't remember the receipt as i filled in for Sheng Siong Lucky Draw. Haha

Guangzhou Hakka Salt-Baked Chicken at NorthPoint City

Guangzhou's famous Hakka Salt-Baked Chicken is finally opened in NorthPoint ! Saw the queue in the morning that many people were queuing and can't wait to go in to try. I passed by and took the menu first. Will plan for a time to visit and try this once the crowd subside. Can see that they won several awards, should be good.

Mcdonald Malaysia at Bukit Indah

Went on a lazy morning at this Mcdonald at Bukit Indah. Was surprised that there is not much people eating there. Its so much different than Mcdonald in Sinagpore where its always crowded. But i can only say i enjoy Malaysia Mcdonald best as the place is lesser people as i hate crowd, price is affordable. Good when i can get two sets of happy meal. I eat and my daughter will get the toy. Drink were half filled which is weird. Apple Pie were the same. Exception is they offer porridge and some slight differences than Singapore ones. But for breakfast menu, its largely similar.

Idaten Udon at Jurong Point

Had lunch with my colleagues at Idaten Udon at Jurong Point. They have a range of menus + ingredients which you can choose. I order the basic bowl of Udon with a choice of a meat. But they will allow you to add Udon at no further cost. So obviously i just opt for the largest bowl for $10.50. Actually i felt that it is a little expensive. But you Japanese food are like that. The ingredients were ranging from $2 to $9. So it can be good also. But the meat unfortunately got the frozen smell or taste to it. I guess order the normal bowl without meat, then add the fried items will be a better choice. The soup broth was good.

New Limited Edition Seiko Initial D AE86 Edition

I was contemplating to get a Seiko White Panda. But since this is in the news and Seiko celebrates Initial D 30th Anniversary, I think i will skip the white panda and go for this instead. Typically this is also a panda-style two-tone design and have the Fujiwara Tofu Shop Logo on the dial. First batch i think it unattainable. But the second release is set for January 2026 and only 1995 pieces. As this is a "Made in Japan" piece, it is priced at 65,780 yen, so Singapore might priced more around SGD$600 range. Let's see whether I can get it or not.

Starhub Taking Over MyRepublic

One day after Simba announce to take over M1, Starhub released that they will take over MyRepublic Broadband business. As a shareholder of Starhub for so many years, hopefully they will do good taking over MyRepublic and expand the business. I am still using Starhub Broadband, but had given up their mobile services and joined M1 side. But as a shareholder for Starhub, i do hope that Starhub will succeed as their shares had been falling steadily over the past decade.

Simba Buying over M1

M1 had not been doing well over the past decade. Now it finally selling to Simba for SGD$1.43 Billion and in Cash. Hope my M1 MAXX isn't affected and i am happy with both the value and coverage. Initally M1 is under Starhub's radar, but seems Simba pretty much will get it and have a major transformation now.

Dian Xiao Er for the sake of SG60 Duck

After the recent incident of the big lighting dropped down onto the big round table, I see that they removed the big table with the big lighting at NorthPoint. But today i am here again just because of the SG60 Duck. Both my wife and daughter like the ducky toy. But this time have to order something different and i went to order the Curry Fish + Soup of the Day and the 1/4 roasted Dang Gui Duck which is a criteria to get the rubber ducky. Fortunately, being a duck place, the curry fish is acceptable. 

Carl's Jr Fast Food 2025

Had been awhile ever since i ate Carl's Jr. Last i ate was at Jurong Point couple of years back, but is closed now. This time i try it at Star Vista and i am shocked at the price. It is extremely expensive and probably my last. Burger was not bad, the fries were good and the drinks were free flow. Even so, $17.50 for a set seems way over priced. It is no longer fast food but rather a restaurant price range.

Problems at SG Condo after 30 years mark

Wow, i didn't expect SG condos to be having such problems. People not paying Maintenance fees could be a problem, but these have to be sorted out by the Managing Agents and the Management Committees. I already well expect Malaysia Condos to have such problem, but if SG also have such problem, then seem that managing agents and residents are often the root cause. Perhaps smaller projects may be better as less people have lesser problem but resulting in more expensive maintenance fees. Hence buying a resale condo, also need to look out for these signs instead of just cheap pricing.

Happy 60th National Day to Singapore !!

Happy 60th Singapore National Day where we celebrate Singapore's independence. As a local borned Singaporean, I am glad that i had benefited Singapore's Education System and various subsidy. However, I think at this stage, job is still our citizens' main priority as we need to be able to afford basic's needs. But with lots of foreigners and new citizens, more good jobs will be affected. I hope we can be stronger and provide better living standards to our future children.

Pokemon TCG at NTUC

Haha as the title goes, I think only NTUC Xtra or Finest will have extra stuffs and in this case, Pokemon TCG cards for sale. First of all, i didn't know at such times, Pokemon TCG is still hot with many people buying them still. But this guy actually buys 2 whole unopened boxes of Pokemon TCG cards. Its definitely not cheap as i also collected for a while half a decade back then. Probably they are in search of some very rare cards and buying like this will have a chance of getting it. In addition, since these cards are available at "Supermarkets", each of them can utilize their individual $300 Supermarket CDC vouchers for it. So now, you see how and where the money goes right?

Shihlin Taiwan Street Snacks - Nasi Lemak

Wah Shihlin also do Nasi Lemak. I personally try this and find it really not bad. The portion of the egg, peanuts, ikan bilis cumumber, chilli is good except for the Shihlin very own spicy chicken cutlet. I think it is only the half portion of the chicken cutlet, but overall, the value is good. I guess its part of SG60 and its upcoming National Day promotion. The chilli in fact is using Village Park Nasi Lemak sambal. I rate this as 7/10.

400 sq ft condo in Singapore

To be frank, its not worth the money. If its cheap, still ok. With all the cooling measures and ABSD, with such a small space, it doesn't make any sense to buy it here in Singapore. Even when one who bought it, it will be very difficult to sell in the resale market. 400 sqft is extremely small and even if its one person living, it is still very small. The only reason to buy is if the people living there can accept and it should be in a very matured place with massive amenities. Well thats my take lah.

Fortress Battle [Whiteout Survival]

Finally attained our first fortress from alliance, PHG who tried to play dirty by attempting to block our City to teleport over. But due to that, we play back their dirty tricks tenfold back. Normally we play fair and square. It was a hard fought battle and was a good experience with the ambition to take on more fortress. Rewards were good as it gives both passive and active rewards. Still aiming to be top 20 players in terms of power level.

Gardenia Chocolate Royale Loaf [New]

Finally got the new Gardenia Chocolate Royale loaf. Although its not new as other brand had chocolate flavour, but its new to the loaf version of Gardenia. Bought this for $3.90 at Sheng Siong Supermarket and will be trying this out. Hopefully it is good.

Oh my ! This is really eye opening for me. I just realised that Lenskart is an indian eyewear retailer. At first, i thought it was from China. While the spectacles are cheap and decent, in terms of quality, it isn't so. But of course, thats what you get what you paid for. Haha Temasek really backed many companies. Its been a long time i ever entered an IPO. But probably will skip this. Too many competiters in this market.

Tsunami of 3 meters high is coming !

Yeah and its coming hard at Japan's Pacific Coast. I love japan and felt sad that Japan is getting many types of Natural Disaster ! Although the place i want to go is Okinawa, but it is also risky as all these are just warning and expectation. No one really knows how bad and how hard it will impact other areas not detected. So i think need to really study hard and forecast your trip there to Japan. Sometimes its quite bad to book way advance or ahead of the flight to Japan.

Kids Indoor Playground at Lotus near Bukit Indah

Can't remember this name of the shop, but its the kids Indoor Playground at Lotus near Bukit Indah since i am staying nearby the central area of Bukit Indah. Just walk over to get some groceries, but found out many good and shops. But what is more interesting is the lack of crowd. Really have a good time to chill and this indoor playground is affordable, so i let my daughter play together with both of us parents to enter. So total is around RM23 so for about 1 hour or 2 hours of fun time. She very much enjoy it and i find it quite safe. This place isn't like KSL or Mid Valley that is crowded and is typically most locals will come here to shop for groceries. So its a good place.

No Language Barrier and Problem Solving in this game [WhiteOut Survival]

Just a quick update that I'm also utilizing my gems resources into Lucky Wheel to gain points for Hall of Chiefs to give it a try to get the great hero, Jeronimo. But i think it is hard, but trying my best for this event now. Love this game as we have many countries playing together and in my alliance itself. We are able to communicate game politics, strategy and leisure topics in this game without much language barrier. Think currently will be competitive in this game moving forward. Still trying to maintain one of the highest power level, but felt that whale still have an edge to it.

New Hero Zoe Released ! [KingShot]

Finally a high tier hero is released for KingShot and I pumped in my 2 weeks worth of Gems on maximizing as much shards as possible for this hero. Concurrently with Hall of Governors, I am gathering massive points in order to try my luck into getting another crazy tier hero, Amadeus. But deep down, i know its impossible because of how many whales in this game. I am limited in term of resources. But I'm am happy that with this new Hero, Zoe, I am advancing at a faster rate now.

MeeSiam & Toast

Came to this place called MeeSiam & Toast and i am surprised at the quality of this Fried Mee Siam. It is certainly top of my list. And there are Coriander dishes and drink which is considered niche lah. My wife purposely tried it and it not that bad actually. As for the mee siam, other than the fried chicken, the mee siam, i will give 9/10. Really one of the best Fried Mee Siam i ever had. The balance of the savoury taste and sourness is just nice.

New Island [WhiteOut Survival]

Again, what i can compared this game is Kingshot. Kingshot's seems to be unlocked immediately when i reached certain level. But for Whiteout survival, after i reached Level 19 for furnace, i still have to wait out 72 hours more to unlock island. 🤨 Its pretty annoying, but i guess the wait is over soon. But so far, i'm enjoying this game so much more than any other !

29ha Khatib Camp is clearing off for more housing

Wah Khatib Camp is making way for more housing in Singapore. They will be relocated to Amoy Quee Camp. Visited Amoy Quee camp in 2001 as part of my National Cadet Corp CCA during Secondary School. Now a part of history for Khatib Camp will be gone and i think both Yishun and Khatib will be filled with lots of housing and people. 29ha is certainly not small and is capable to build 6000+ flats for families to live in. Perhaps the strategy is to import more people or renew older HDB estates to let those people stay in this area's new flats.

[WhiteOut Survival] Bear Trap Event

After going Bear Trap event for the forth time, i finally made it as Top 1 in Damage Points in the Bear Hunt for Whiteout Survival. This is getting very interesting as i am now ranked 60 as of this time of posting in my server. Of course i have to thanks my alliance members as we climbed up to Top 5 Alliance in the entire server. Seems that there is a formula to achieve high damage points in this event. Guides and video are easily available online.

24/7 Long John Silver is just awesome !

Good that Long John Silver finally make its move to open 24/7 at 4 of their branches which also happened to be all at the Northern Region of Singapore. I guess i might visit Northpoint City for their 24/7 outlet for supper during these days. Although they had increased their menu's price significantly, but their price are still below most of the fastfood options, being offered here. Had been eating Long John Silver in the earlier years since 1995 at Parkway Parade so seriously it had been almost 30 years omg. However, the Parkway Parade branch had long been gone as well but it is part of history.

The Straits Time Forum | Don't let eateries misuse the Michelin Name

Well, the article stated not to let those eateries misused the Michelin Bib Gourmand for their marketing and publicity. BUT I thought you need to have a cerain standard to be awarded with the Michelin Star right? Marketing or publicity is really up to those who were awarded. If its good, people will eat. If it doesn't, people at most only go and eat once. So i don't find the need for government to step in to govern this lah. But for those who is not awarded, placing Michelin Star, then is isn't right lah, it is equal to cheating already. 

COE Cars Limitation to VEP...

Typically, COE is a Singapore issue. Don't think Malaysia Minister should even implement such policy at all. I understand about the international travel and passport rules and that is implemented almost most of the countries. But by being not able to apply for VEP if COE cars left with 6 months of less, it is really not welcoming to Singaporeans at all. But then, being unhappy or not, too bad lor since Malaysia wants to play this way.

Gave up on Age of Empire Mobile

Its not an easy task to climb up the ladders even after i got myself a mini boost of one of the best hero, Mulan via cash system. Still, its way too weak to advance in the game and progress is very slow. Despite putting in effort to farm and upgrade research + nice numbers of advance troops. Its still far off other players by an enormous quantity. So i gave up. 😔

ChaPanda at NorthPoint

Chapanda is very popular in China since 2008 and had since opened in several global countries. As for Singapore, they had their first outlet at Orchard Scape and now the latest, Northpoint where it drew more local crowds. They will be running a 1 for 1 promotion soon and i tried their signature or best selling Mango Pomelo Drink and also their second best selling drink. So far, its nice but abit expensive which is common with many other bubble tea chains.

Durian Season in Singapore July 2025

Its durian season again and fortunately, my daughter, wife and myself loves eating durian. Although news media kept saying durian became very cheap, but i don't feel it leh. Its damn expensive eating durian in Singapore. But no choice, the craving comes hard and just bought one XO Red Prawn at $12 per KG and took one that weigh and costs $21. One box just enough for 3 of us lah. At least its so much better than what i got at Paradigm the recent times. 

Real World NATO in games [WhiteOut Survival]

I am progressing at a rapid pace just to quickly hit 4 million in power in 7 days after starting out the new account. I think many got burned along without knowing what to do. So its important what to do even before starting out any game to progress correctly and to attain some valuable targets' items. This is a hardcore yet rule based alliance which i like it, but mainly speak in Tagalog, but with the game bulit-in AI, i can easily convert their language to my English Language. So our alliance is together with the Top 10 Alliances and had made several pact to not break any rules. This is only good as we are well protected because of these rules. But like in the real world settings, there will always be black sheep like the ones we see everyday in work. 😒

WhiteOut Survival 2025

Wah overlapped my experience of Kingshot to this new game which i'm going into. Many people are actually using WhiteOut Survival onto Kingshot as Kingshot is newer than WhiteOut Survival. Anyway, the playing style is largely the same format. But I'm kinda addicted to this game now. As long you stick to your consistent playing style, you will go far in this game. Need to quickly power up and get into a good Alliance to go further.

Pang Pang Kopi Vegetarian Cafe at Canberra Plaza

Ever since Grove Vegetarian Cafe closed down at Canberra Plaza, Pang Pang Kopi Vegetarian Cafe had been operating at Canberra Plaza for a few months now. I am surprised that most of the menu products were the same as Grove Vegetarian Cafe. The only improvement i see is some extra sandwiches for sale and a tray return station. Other than that, the old habits are there. Almost all the time, most of the items on the menu isn't available. Most available items are the Toasts, drinks and eggs. They can say no more rice or noodles at the moment. So sigh.. Most of time, when i go there only to return in disappointment.

Pan Pacific Hai Tien Lo 海天楼 | One of Singapore's Best Cantonese Restaurant

Had always wanting to try the best Cantonese cuisine in Singapore. I had stayed at Pan Pacific last year and really like the hotel room there. It is clean, quiet and accessible to the big malls in the area. In fact, there are many good cantonese restaurants in Singapore. Hence here i am at one of the best cantonese restaurant. Although they did not get the Michelin Star award, Michelin did featured them -> Hai Tien Lo: Forging Waves Of Change In Cantonese Cuisine. In the latest news, they are awarded in Tatler Best Singapore 2025 and Luxury Lifestyle Awards. Overall Damage is around SGD$210. But i think for the price and quality as well as the service and dining experience, it is money well spent !

More and More Mega Malls opening in JB Malaysia

With the RTS ready late next year, more and more Singaporeans or Residents in Singapore can go in JB more easily to restaurants, cafes, groceries, entertainment and shopping. The reason is simple. Because of the strong currency. But it is bad for our local businesses in Singapore. Hence i will still support our local business the best that i can. Sometimes, when you think our local currency is strong against RM, but that item in Malaysia can cost more than what we get in Singapore. So best to do your homework before spending your hard earned money.

BRICS X USA Tariff

Well US President Donald Trump dared to say what some others want to say about BRICS. Bluff or Serious, this is a real test for BRICS members. If any country scare and pull out of BRICS, it will reflect very badly to BRICS. But BRICS remained strong and more countries joining BRICS even with extra 10% Tariff, then Trump will lose in this fight. So let's see what some BRICS country in Asia will say as they talked big in the past when joining BRICS.

Age Of Empire Mobile

DarkMicro reporting in to Age Of Empire Mobile [AOEM] as of 06 July 2025. Using my experience in Kingshot, i am able to start playing this game normally as it is similar and I am starting to love these games. Currently i am a long term player in Clash Royale and Clan of Clan. I am starting to go long term in Kingshot and Age of Empire Mobile now. As i am currently not playing any console games at the moment due to busy schedules, but able to fit in these games while commuting from places to places. As a start, I felt that this Age of Empire Mobile is pretty well made. This game is first launched in 17 October 2024 which means that I had missed out most of the rewards, but at least I can see that the game is stable and hopefully survive through many years to come. Along the way, I will share my progress here as well.
