Casino at Forest City, Malaysia?
According to Bloomberg, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia has met tycoons Vincent Tan and Lim Kok Thay to discuss the opening of a casino within the Forest City development near Singapore, reported Bloomberg News, quoting unnamed sources. Extracted From Here. This will definitely attracts those hardcore gamblers, from both Singapore and Malaysia, but especially for Singaporeans. This will bring in revenue. It is good if they know how to really use the revenue profited from the earnings to improve the business as well as the country forward. But of course, there will be many cons bringing in problems and possibly increased crime rate. Hopefully they can do what is right to revive the forest city in a healthy manner.

Added two more Pure Silver to my Silver Collections !
Its a little on the higher side in terms of silver spot price and premium lately due to the recent wars. But it did not stop me from adding physical silver. Fortunately, i had added 21g of 916 gold 2 years old before the crazy gold spot price nowadays. With this two addition, had accumulated to 5 Troy Oz. But of course, i went for premium design and proper packaging to preserve the corrision of silver. I missed the recent coin fest at Singapore MBS in 2024 due to attending AWS course. I guess i should make an effort to attend the next coin fest held in 2025. Back to this topic, i am only collecting each animal every year for the Lunar Series. Other than that, i am collecting special series like King Charles coronation where he will be wearing the crown just for this annual coin.

Ex Pearl's Hill School cleared for Public Housing
Had been spending 6 years of my life to attend Primary School education at Pearl's Hill School which had long gone for a while to rebuild into a hotel. Now the hotel will soon be gone and the entire area will be used for residential use as confirmed by URA. How i wished that the school's name can be carried on with its history so that future generation can enjoy the rich history of schools. But yeah seems like it is demolished for good and the next generation will soon forget that this school even existed as part of the history.

Underwhelmed after trying "Best" Hainanese Chicken Rice
I feeling the same with the tourist lah. In the recommendation books, all is pointing to this particular store. As a local, i also don't really like this store lah. So i can't blame them, but rather blame the reviewer for sharing the wrong thing and dragged our reputation down. Another thing to point out is some people might not like the taste, so different taste buds have different views and perspective. Best is to do something that can cater for the vast majority and the store will be safe lah. Sometimes recommendation is only a guideline, and sometimes the consistency is not there. So all in all, let's all be honest with this ongoing issue and improve better. 😃

Long John Silver at Northpoint
Ordered two set of 3 piece Spicy Chicken meal with Coke Zero and Grass Jelly Bandung at NorthPoint. Many chilli sauce provided is a 👍. It seems that the fries they used is different. Looks like they had change supplier. Last time the fries used to be crispy with its crisp batter. But now the fries is just hard and dry like the fries in US. The spicy chicken were great and the meat were tender. But later past midnight, my stomach was pain like 😡. It is different from McDonald's Double McSpicy, because McDonald's one only make me wanna 💩naturally and does not felt pain in the stomach. Guess I shall try the LJS standard chicken rather than the spicy one in future.

McDonald Malaysia Nasi Lemak and Fried Chicken
Had dinner at Mcdonald, so just checking all the special menus which is not available in Singapore's McDonald. As a daily McDonald eater, our local app will have to change country to utilize Malaysia's McDonald point system. But i didn't want to do so as i worried that all my points in SG will be gone. So in total for two pax, we ordered one Nasi Lemak+SpicyChicken Set with Mango Peach Iced Blended drink and one Spicy Ayam Goreng Set with Strawberry Iced Blended costs me RM34.90. To be frank, this is really affordable as this cost is actually equal to me having only one double mcspicy set meal McDonald in Singapore. However, the chicken were quite small, but so far taste is ok. Not too bad not very good as well. The iced blended, i find it quite mild. But it is indeed special.

Verbena Bakery & Pastries at Bukit Indah
What I can say is this bakery is damn popular with Malaysians and Singaporeans. As I am staying there for a night, I noticed at several timings, this bakery is always filled pack with people. Mostly drive here to buy and go. During this time, I bought several breads, cakes and pastries. The Durian Cake and Durian puffs were good, probably because the price also carry weight that make it delicious all together. 😁😁😁 The standard white bread were not too bad also, but it is a little thick. The cheesecake is the type I like, totally better than what I had from Polar. 😩It is no wonder why so many people kept buying from them.

Restoran Loon Sing - Dim Sum at Bukit Indah
Basically, they have 25% discount on all Dim Sum items during the weekend. They practically own the whole building where they can also host wedding dinner, events, etc. So inside, it really look "Atas", those old Chinese ballroom restaurant type. So food wise, its really not bad, but not the best yet. Probably above average between 5/10 to 6.5/10 that range. Place is quite cosy and comfortable with an exception of those nasty flies are still there. Maybe better to sit a little further inside than nearer to the entrance. Price wise RM276.40 i think is affordable for a 5 adults and 2 kids number of pax. But good place for families who just want to chill there having breakfast or brunch.

Kinsahi at AEON Mall Bukit Indah
Went to this halal japanese restaurant at AEON Mall Bukit Indah for a quick lunch after swimming. It was surprisingly better than expected. Although not the best, but is still better than average from what I can say. Similarly, i was expecting Unagi to be offered here, but looking at the menu several times, don't have. So I ordered Salmon Katsu with japanese Curry. So other dishes are also not bad and we quickly finished our food and continue shopping at the mall. Was surprised that we saw Mediacorp actor, Darren Lim, his wife, ex actress Evelyn and their children were having lunch there as well. Perhaps they already own a property here. 😊

Nanyang Story at Bukit Indah
Had our early breakfast here while going to my brother in law's housewarming at his new condo ! This Nanyang Story is very similar to Singapore's Hainan Story, but both the price and quality were top notch. I personally tried the Nasi Lemak dish and i immediately give a 9/10 rating for this. All the ingredients were impressive especially the rice, chilli, ikan bilis, chicken and chilli ! But chilli, they never give much. Can request from the staff to get more. Drinks were good as well. So definitely recommend if you ever pass by here.

Lost my glasses in transition from MY to SG
While commuting from Malaysia back to Singapore by bus, my daughter loves to play with my glasses. So i let her play and she fell asleep midway while holding my glasses tight. However it is time for us to get down the bus. Without thinking much, i guess i lost my spectacles there. Checked with Causeway buses, but didn't found it. Thats $600+ gone down the drain. 😵 Lesson Learnt to check everything upon leaving the place.

Kuya's Kusinang Pinoy
Went to this pinoy restaurant with my colleague to try out philipines cuisine. This is opposite National Library called Kuya's Kusinang Pinoy. They have many dishes that looks like cai fan. So they had set like 1 or 2 dishes with rice. So i get the 2 dish set meal at $10. Typically for pork lovers, you won't go wrong with their pork dishes. Love the sauce that goes with the meat with rice. The one on the left, not sure what is called, but they had pork, onions and some sauce. Not as nice but still ok.

Portion and Prices are ridiculous nowadays !!
Needless to say. Everything is getting really expensive nowadays. But to get this kind of price and portion is simply unacceptable. I had told my wife never to come here ever again. I ordered this sliced ginger fish rice + Egg costs me $7.50. When they served the dish, my eyes rolled up like crazy man. Hint: Near 105 Canberra Street. Those who knows, will know. Anyway, this is in a kopitiam setting and have no aircon. So when last time, people says how can you even eat at food court three meals a day where it is going to be expensive. Now it comes to Kopitiam.😑

Kobo's First Ever Colour e-readers !
Of course most will say, aiya Kindle for many yeara had ebook readers or any standard tablets can read in colour for the longest time... The key features for this ebook reader, particularly this model is to allow one not to carry so many physical books, good for reading books for long period of time and not strain the eyes, long battery life and lastly the colourful colours that make it less boring and beautiful ! So i think it is worth every penny for readers to enjoy reading with ease.

Nori Shoyu Shaka Shaka Chicken McBites
Well, tried the new Nori Shoyu Shaka Shaka Chicken McBites and felt that it is nearly like a bite sized chicken mcnugget. Only exception was the shaker Nori Shoyu flavour to enhance the chicken bites. For the price, i think its a little expensive too. Just stick to the good old Double McSpicy and you can never be wrong. 😆

Insta360 X3 Successor?
Well, i gladly hope so and tomorrow will be the day they will reveal their new product. If it is X4 and the price is right, i think i will get this. But of course, i hope i can get it by 3rd week of April, else it defeat the purpose lah. If it reduces the X3 price further more, i guess maybe i can consider that as well. The current X3's 5.3K is good enough, but having 8K as part of the teaser on X4 really bump up the performance.

Lao Ban Niang Cai Fan 3 dishes Part 2
This time, i got the roasted pork, salted egg chicken and steamed egg. I was only charged for $6.30 for 2 meats and 1 egg. So compared to the previous time, i guess i was overcharged. This time the person who took my order was a lady. Sigh, such double standard and such is happening almost everyday. That is why a good and fair system is required !

Travel Universal Adapter Prepared !
Finally got two travel adapters to cater for all my charging needs. Had also ordered those AU travel adapters, 3 of them for rough usage. Its going to be a different trip configuration as compared to the previous KL trial food setup. This is more focused on structural, buildings and landscape. Still in the midst of getting a new 360 device but see how, since i will be more focused on using my phone setup. But hopefully these travel adapters will work well.

DJI Mini 3 or other Drone?
The fact that whether should I be getting drone or not, really depends whether I use them often or not. Usage is one thing, being able to use is another important factor. And in Singapore, it is really hard to fly high to take the wonderful photo or video shots. But if let's say I will to go ahead and get a drone. I think i might get DJI Mini 3 which has a good deal at the moment. DJI 4 is simply too expensive, but it is packed full with very good features at $1499. Was getting this to fly for next month's overseas trip. But sadly, that area cannot fly drone so high to take the shot. Hence I think will pass this device till regulations for this is subject to change.

Starbucks at 86 East Coast Road
Came here to visit this Starbucks at 86 East Coast Road. It is housed in an old conservation building. It was used to be an old Police Station in Joo Chiat. Got ourselves two nice Venti Java Chip and Iced Latte (Double shot). The space within this Starbucks is massive ! Lots of seats, nice and cosy. It is kids and dogs friendly as well.

Yum Cha Standard in 2024
How is Yum Cha Standard in 2024? Well the quick answer is quite bad in my opinion. Last time it used to be hovering between Ok - Bad. Now it is simply bad. If this kind of quality is being served, I think price wise, it should be at 50% price of each dishes. With this kind of high price, the dim sum and dishes were pretty badly done. That will probably conclude my last and final visit to the restaurant. Staff were ok and services were ok, it was just simply the food. This is from Changi Point branch.

Beach Rd Prawn Noodles | Best Prawn Noodles in Singapore
Well to me, this is simply the best Prawn Noodles in Singapore. Had been eating there for 30 years now and taste is always consistent. So it is safe to recommend this to everyone. The reason why i can eat most of the time there was because i used to stay at Marine Parade for 2 decades now. East Coast have lots of good food. This is still valid even though i moved out to the North for my own place now. Even the side dishes were the best especially when i am the hardcore fan of their pink sauce with the cripsy prawn crackers !! Price however had been rising and i guess that is no choice, but still worth every penny. Recommend the dry version and the little bowl of prawn soup is the 10/10 quality !

Lao Ban Niang Cai Fan 3 dishes
Tabao Cai Fan at my usual place, but price is unusually high. Roasted Pork + Steamed Egg and Tau Pok costs $7.60. I hope they priced wrongly even it is unjust. Normally two meats and one egg costs $6.60. This time is the thin guy who charge this. Bras Basah Cai Fan 🤨

Wonderful Bapsang at Thomson Plaza
Ordered the Korean Ginseng Chicken Soup with rice, korean Seafood Pancake and Black Bean JiaJiangyeon at Wonderful Bapsang located at Thomson Plaza. It is a much quiet place as compared to Suntec City Outlet. I remembered the last round at Suntec City, the view was good but there is cochroach in the area which really turned off. Had feedback to the staff, and they immediately got rid of it. Over at Thomson Plaza, the place is much cleaner in a way. In terms of the food quality, i rate the Korean Ginseng Soup with Rice at 9/10 and the Seafood Pancake at 8/10. It was simply too good ! As for the JiaJiangyeon, not really a fan of it, but i tried it, probably give only a 5/10. Quite normal actually, nothing special.

Central Thai at Changi Airport Terminal 3
After landing back to Changi Airport from KL, we tried to find our quick lunch before heading back home with tons of luggage. Chanced upon this thai restaurant which had not much crowd. Furthermore they were running a 20% off all ala-carte menu, which I think its a good deal. We ordered the big Tom Yum Seafood hotpot, one pad thai, thai milk tea, rice and a glass of water. Pad Thai were normal, so is the thai milk tea. But the tom yum hotpot is great ! Ingredients were not much, but at least the tom yum soup quality made up for it. Goes extremely well with rice. One typical feeling is once I reach Singapore, cannot simply anyhow order, because it is expensive. 😔

[Clash Royale] New Legendary Dagger Duchess
This new tower troop is the newest addition and it is Legendary rank. Played against the practice game is all right. Came across some battles with other players who paid to up the level to max. Fought with them at the same tower level and it was insane. You really need to go hard with HP in a single lane to whack this tower. Good for those who play with control. My team is considered as brute force, but if not enough troop in that single lane, this new tower troop gonna destroy you quickly and swiftly. Thats explained the true capability of this troop. I am still F2P btw. 😅

Officially 13 years in the same company
Taking this opportunity to put up this post because my company had just awarded me with 10th year long service award. But it is actually 13th years, because they does not include direct contract for my first 3 years of service. They started counting upon employee converted to be permanent headcount. There was a cash gift component, but i think is not much, but still money. What is more important is the addition of 7 more days to my annual leave, this really mean a lot for me and my family. So i am thankful and this very first Full-Time job [not considering those part-time jobs] is right after taking my last examinations at Singapore Polytechnic where I had yet to graduate yet. I immediately put out my resume to search for full time jobs after the final exam paper. Went through many jobs and this is the job that offers me the most salary at that time. I immediately went for the interview and passed the interview. Few days later, I started my first day of work from 04 April 2011 till today. So yeah, 13 years and there is still a long way to go. Just need to focus on what is the trend, attend the latest course and move on to a better role that pays well.

My MapleStory Mobile got BANNED !!!
Oh well ! I got banned last week and it was a total nightmare. Having maintained my account for nearly two years, i wondered why i got banned, since i am playing normally. The reason i kept grinding hard during this time was because of the limited time event for the hotshot scrolls. It was quite stressful as i am left with 5 days and is 8 more % experience points to attain the goal. To be fair, it takes at least a day to reach 3% on average. To make matter worst, suddenly Nexon banned my account ! 😩 Then i have to keep writing and writing for the support to finally release my account after 2 days ! I remembered writing like more than 20 emails on this till they are 😏.. Fortunately i am able to achieve my goal and attain the scrolls to enhance my equipments further ! Phew !

Reached the final Rank for Clash Royale.
Finally reach the last arena and it is the highest level of Clash Royale. Moreover, all my team is in its max level and form till next release. This had been the team which i had used since the start of the game except for Archer Queen which replace my Witch as the permanent troop. Trophy cannot goes up more than 9000 as it is the cap. So just need to farm normally till next new release. Done for the game.

Last episode of KL Trip 2024
I guess there are actually too many things to cover and it can continue and rollover to april original content. So i have to put an end and put as a summary to stop here. Also happy April Fools Day to all and tried not to be fooled by people today. So in summary, i had visited almost all the malls in Bukit Bintang and some malls out of Bukit Bintang as KL is actually too big. Just to name a few from the oldest to the newest, are Berjaya Times Square, Sungei Wang Plaza, Low Yat Plaza, Lot 10, Fahrenheit88, Jalan Alor Food Street, Pavilion, TRX, Mid Valley KL, Lala Port, Starhill, the Starling shopping mall, KLCC, etc.
Of course not forgetting Genting and its Premium Outlets. Spending like RM700+ just on clothings 😅. Tried many drinks which were available in Singapore, but yet to try them yet. Had a quick restaurant meals in the malls and of course tons of drinks and snacks along the food streets. Together with all the grab transports all the way + food + items + hotel, i think we spent close to RM7000+ in total which i think is way too over the budget already. 😂 I guess because i always think aiyah ringgit is cheap, but it isn't necessary so. I also think this is one of the trip where i gave quite a significant amount of tips as well.. So next month, it is gotta be a budget trip already. 😁

ParkRoyal Collections KL Buffet Breakfast x 5
Spending 5 mornings on their buffet breakfast which is included in our hotel stay. Despite this trip is focusing on food tour and introductory travelling with my little one, we still manage to squeeze in the earliest slot 6.30am everyday to eat a little before heading off tp our planned schedule. To classify how this buffet breakfast fare, i will give an overall rating of 7/10 as food choices were not that bad and sufficient in every way. Service was also good. The winner goes to the chicken sausage which attained my 10/10 as the best chicken sausage offered there. As for the rest, were quite normal and good. As for the bad thing is their Roti Canai were the least expected quality. I am expecting great standard there for their iconic dish. But all in all, is good and really enjoyed the breakfast which beats every buffet breakfast standard in JB.

KL Tower | To oversee Merdeka 118 & KL Twin Tower
Didn't expect KL Tower tickets to be so expensive. 😔 But since we are here, might as well head up. At least we can view the overview of Merdeka 118 and Twin Tower. We also opt for the photo taking and got the photo album. They also provide you all the photo and video taken from their cameras. This is quite expensive, but for memory value, yeah we just go for it. There is also a restaurant up there, but nothing much downstairs. For the photo taking, the queue was long for a weekday. So suggested not to go on a weekend as the queue might be very long.

To and Fro Singapore-KL | SIA | Lesson Learnt during this trip | 2024
Overall, the flight ticket i got from SIA is based on a limited promotion. As this ticket was booked probably two years ago, I had avoided both the GST raised from 8% and 9% respectively. However there is a catch, i went to SIA at Orchard to enquiry whether we could change the destination or change date. Changing of destination is impossible as mentioned that it is a promotional ticket and should we want to change date, additional charges will be required. Therefore we just have to proceed with it, not that we cannot go, just that we wanted to go to Japan since the rates were good. Well that is set, but nevertheless it is still a fruitful and meaningful trip so as to also provide a good first flight experience for our little one. Thing to note for a short SIA flight is that there is no hot towel, no meals on board two ways. Just a drink and a special booklet for all the little babies on board. So got to expect the expectation that longer distance flight will provide you more stuffs. Singapore Customs is a breeze, except that I did not expect that returning Singaporeans also need to fill in the "White Card" process. 😓From the malaysia custom's side, quite a long queuing is expected even on a weekdays and furthermore we were queuing at the priority counter since we are travelling with a baby. So if you are queuing the regular counter, i think might take one hour or so to clear through. Other than that, one thing that caught me surprised was that even travelling for 5 nights, travellers coming back to Singapore from KL is forbidden to buy duty-free beer or liquor from the airport. Sigh, seems that it is more worthwhile to travel to other countries other than Malaysia in future.

Commemoration of 28 March 2021 | Into the 3rd Year | Regaining Strength
This is the 3rd year to commemorate the little angel and till now, it still remain very close memory of him as it will stirred up my emotion when having a little thought of it. Nothing much, just need to have some quiet and peaceful time before returning to my "angry" state to face reality. Like the old quote, let the living suffer for you.

The Lemon Tree @ ParkRoyal Collections
Residing within the hotel itself where i stay for 5 nights, we had gotten drinks from them for 3 times. I know that we should be reserving our belly for other drinks outside the street, but cannot bypass this as our trip is considered quite rushing. Being thirsty all the time and to re-engergise ourselves to help our baby settle her milk and pampers. We also get our drinks up to our room to drink. We really tried out all their sparkling drink series throughout this trip and they were good. Our best were the Yuzu and Lychee ones. Concept is really lemon tree 😅 But do support them if you ever goes there.

Taman Connaught Night Market | Longest night market in KL
Scheduled this on wednesday to attend Taman Connaught Night Market which is the longest night market in KL because this night market only opens every wednesday. Indeed there are many food and drink stalls. Bought a few T-Shirts, food and drinks. Also rest and had desserts at this dessert chain, Mr Beannie since there is a small drizzling. Enjoying the aircon to stay away from the rain and heat, the dessert there were surprisingly good as well. Best of all, all price is right and affordable. 👍

Pik Wah Bar & Cafe
Actually they have an extensive menu of lots of food, but i'm typically in here for its Claypot Coffee other than having it at ICC Pudu previously. So just ordered some small bites and Claypot Coffee to try out their unique Hainan Cha + Kopi. We had to ordered the iced one as the weather was extremely hot. 🥵 Other than this, the cafe is pretty retro and the main point is the external. Outside have several paintings on the wall and there is a good view to see one of the tallest building in the world at this location.

Thean Hou Temple 天后宫 [KL]
One of the more popular temple in KL. While visiting the temple, many other worshippers came to pray and many wedding took place on a weekday. It is a nice temple and really enjoy the peaceful environment there. It is considered to be on a high ground. Also realised that there is a Registry of Marriage there where local people actually register their marriage there.

[Michelin 2023 & 2024] Lai Foong Lala Noodles 丽丰啦啦米
Lai Foong Lala Noodles 丽丰啦啦米 had been awarded michelin in 2023 and 2024. Ordered the Prawn Noodles and La La Noodles. Prawn Noodles, my wife said its ok, except for the prawn got abit different taste. As for the La La Noodles which is awarded Michelin, the wine taste is thick and i felt that it is spicy. But actually i think is not the spice, but rather the sensation coming from the wine. I finished the whole la la which is considered not bad. So i'll give 7/10 for the la la noodles, as i felt that it is too thick of the flavor though.
Their address is at 99, Jalan Sultan, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is a 10 minutes drive from my hotel, ParkRoyal Collections, KL. They are actually close to KL Chinatown.

Congkak (Bukit Bintang) [Michelin 2023 and 2024]
The most popular and specialized dish is their nasi ambeng platter. The nasi ambeng platter there have a combinations of spicy, sweet and savoury flavours that go well with their sambal. The place is very well decorated in a traditional malay settings together with Congkak instrument.
Their address is 24, Jalan Beremi, Off, Jln Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, 50200 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is a 9 minutes walk from my hotel at ParkRoyal Collections, KL.
Personally, I don't really know how to eat some of the ingredients, but most of the ingredients were top notch ! My wife definitely was to my surprise, she really enjoy the food a lot here and she said that they really does deserved getting the Michelin recognition. To me, yeah it really taste good, a little on the saltier side and the whole palate is an art and looks beautiful ! Dessert is a standard Bubur Pulut Hitam, but done in an almost perfect way.
Nasi Goreng Congkak | 8/10
Nasi Ambeng | 7.5/10

[Interruption from KL Posting] Let's wish Singapore good luck for FootBall
Apology on the disruption from the KL review series. Today is a special day as it is World Cup Qualifiers of Singapore VS China. As extracted from Singapore Pools, all odds are against Singapore. However Singapore had a new coach, so let's see how he perform today with the Singapore dream of playing in the World Cup 😏 | As a Singaporean, i wish all the best of Singapore. But my betting on Singapore will be a secret. ✌️

Nam Heong Chicken Rice @Jalan Sultan 南香 [Michelin 2023 & 2024]
Not sure if they had gotten Michelin for the past few years, but confirmed that they got their Michelin titles at 2023 and 2024. However their business had been operating for generations since 1938. They are famous for their hainanese chicken rice. So thats exactly why I am here for this as I am a strict and serious chicken rice eater. 😏
Address is at 56, Jalan Sultan, City Centre, 50000 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is a 16 minutes drive or 30 minutes walk from my hotel at ParkRoyal Collections, KL. Location is not bad as it is very near KL Chinatown area for your massive explorations.
Apart from the Roasted Pork, Char Siew and steamed chicken, only the Roasted Chicken is the one that was awarded Michelin. Rest of the ingredients were ok at 5/10 ratings. The Roasted Chicken, i guess i might give a 6/10 at most. It is decent and above average, however it is just that. 😶Perhaps maybe I had a high expectation to this. But after checking through the reviews, many also commented the same results. Just wondering whether could be due to the consistency is not there. But nevertheless, still ok at least it is above food court's standard. 😜

Restoran Sek Yuen 适苑酒家 (1948) , Jalan Pudu [Michelin 2024]
Restoran Sek Yuen 适苑酒家 (1948) which is located at Pudu had been awarded Michelin 2024. It is one of the oldest established since 1948 for traditional cantonese cuisine. They are known for its eight-treasure duck, and roast suckling pig. Finally it is time for me to try out their food. Their decor and location is indeed very retro. Menu is like the typical Zi-Char dishes. Of course, they don't just get awarded without their signature dishes.
Location is at 313, Jln Pudu, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is about 10 minutes drive or 22 minutes walk from my hotel, ParkRoyal Collections, KL.
I personally tested their signature Pei Pa Duck. First look is very dry, but each bite leak out their juices in each meat which is juicy and tender. I will give 7.5/10 for this. The sweet and sour pork was surprisingly ok at 7.5/10 and vegetables at 6/10. So i think the dishes are above average, but not to the level of attaining the "WOW" factor.

Restoran Wong Mei Kee 王美记 [Michelin 2023 & 2024]
Chef-owner Wong Peng Hui who is dubbed as the Maestro Roast Master is already 65 years old. Finally I am able to fly to KL to patronize this Michelin 2024 roasted meat. Hence I went for the Char Siew, Roasted Pork and also its roasted chicken. They had a very long queue, that they are only open at 12PM Sharp and finished by 3 hours later or maybe earlier if all the meat had been sold off.
They are located at [30, Jalan Nyonya, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia] which just a 18 minutes walk from my Hotel at ParkRoyal Collections, KL.
I reached there 30 minutes earlier to secure a Number 10 position of the order as they only open for business at 12PM sharp. So i waited till about 12.20pm before recieving my order. So order is made upon queuing before opening. Of course, you can order after 12pm too, but you will waste time queuing especially during lunch time and need to wait for the food to be served. Best is still to arrive 30 minutes before opening. Thats the ultimate advice, don't say i didn't warn you 😅. So in terms of the food, my wife said the char siew was good. I don't really like char siew, so won't comment this. But as for the chicken and roasted Pork, i will strongly recommend for those pork lovers to try the strip of roasted pork. This is probably me giving 10/10 to the roasted pork as this is one of the best roasted pork i ate in the world. Chicken is pretty good too at 7/10.

ICC Pudu Market + Ah Weng Kor [KL]
Much hyped ICC Pudu which locals goes for their breakfast, lunch and marketing. I of course goes there for their food. Famous for their Claypot Kopi & Tea, curry noodles, egg tarts, wine pau and many more. We tried to finish them at one sitting. To me, i like the Claypot Kopi 6/10 rating, the rest were pretty normal food to me around 5/10 rating. So another food court called Ah Weng Kor serves breakfast menu. My wife ordered the nasi lemak which she said is not bad. I ordered the Ice Hainan Teh and steam bread. This is instead giving me the "Wow" factor since it looks pretty normal, but the Iced Hainan Teh i highly will recommend anyone to try it. It is rich and both the texture and flavor is just right and also gave you a good aftertaste after each sip. Steam Bread were great and both the butter and kaya were pretty generous as well. Iced Hainan Teh, i gave a 8/10 rating and Steam Bread at 7/10.
Address is at Jalan Kijang, Pudu, 55100 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is either 6 minutes drive or 21 minutes walk from my hotel, ParkRoyal Collections, KL.

Heun Kee Claypot Chicken Rice (Pudu) [Michelin 2022, 2023 & 2024]
Can't wait to try out this famous Charcoal Claypot Chicken Rice from Heun Kee located at Pudu. They had been getting the Michelin treatment for many years. So thats why I have to come down here to test it for myself.
Initially i thought that one small portion is enough for two as i recalled a few months back someone went to ordee big for two pax but the boss said that the single portion is enough. Anyways, we got the bigger portion and also added extra chinese sausage and salted fish. They serves faster than expected and i got to say that. For the price, it is well worth it. The overall taste is really good. The moment you recieve the order, just make sure you kept stirring like how you order for pepper lunch. Typically the small plate of salted fish contains the oil as well. Best to pour all in and quickly give a good mix around the pot to evenly spread out across all the different ingredients. Both drinks were great. Hence, overall, i'm giving a 9/10. I think it deserves it and seriously it is a place to go for it. Even my colleague flew to KL and try it. He also said it is the best he have had. 👍👍👍

SS2 Durian House Stall 鸿运榴梿之家 [Most Popular Durian Store in KL]
Want to eat durian in KL? Since I am in KL and there are plenty of durian stall, might as well go for the best place to eat. And that is SS2 Durian House Stall 鸿运榴梿之家. I will be hunting for Black Thorn Durian and maybe some Mao Shan Wang.
Address is at SS2 Durian House Stall, PT1967, Jalan SS 2/61, SS 2, 47300 Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia which is about 26 minutes to 30 minutes car ride from my hotel, ParkRoyal Collections, KL.
Bought one durian that is used for display for my kid at RM78. So we ordered one of the most expensive durian which is the Black Thorn Durian at RM98 per KG and a Black Gold Musang King at RM75 per KG. Both were AAAAA grade. For once, the Black Thorn had exceeded my expectation and is rated as 10/10 perfect score. Money well worth it. As for the Black Gold Musang King, it loses in term of taste if i compared with the same Black Gold Musang King last month in JB KSL Durian Dealer. So it is rated as 6/10. So all in all, this black thorn durian at this stall is simply the best ! If i still would have the capacity, i would had gotten another Black Thorn to whack it again.

Village Park Nasi Lemak Review [Michelin Street Food 2021]
Being one of the most famous or rather most said that it is the best Nasi Lemak in Malaysia, I finally get to fly to Kuala Lumpur to try it at the authentic restaurant with my own plate right in front of me. Best of all was that it doesn't cost much for its quality and quantity ! Located at [5, Jalan SS 21/37, Damansara Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia 47400], it is at least a 45 to 1 hour car ride from my hotel, ParkRoyal Collections KL. Not sure about today, but it was being listed in the Michelin Guide for street food back in 2021. Of course I have to try their signature nasi lemak ayam goreng berempah !
Upon getting into the restaurant which i fortunately do not have to queue, i quickly ordered what i want. Within 7 minutes, the food and drinks had arrived. After tasting it, unfortunately there were different opinion in parts of the dishes.
Rice - 10/10
Peanut, Ikan, cucumber, egg - 6/10
Chicken - 7/10
Price - 10/10
Chilli - 6/10
Overall - i will give 6/10
So overall, i give a 6/10 and finally understand what is short of getting a michelin star for this nasi lemak. I would say that the rice is very well done and perfect. But the rest have lots of improvement to be done. Aiyah i have to state the facts. Hopefully it is the inconsistency of the dishes that got me, but at the point of trying it out, this is the hard truth. But i think it is worth giving them a few tries to test if it is consistent to be one of the best?

The Tokyo Restaurant | Best Burnt Cheesecake in KL
One of the best item and maybe best in KL is their Burnt Cheesecake. They also offers many other japanese food and drinks in the restaurant. But my objective here is always with the main objective and that is to try out their burnt cheesecakes. I am trying out their 7th Avenue Cheesecake and Yuri Matcha Cheesecake which are the best selling cheesecakes there. So i also tried their Tiramisu and ice cream as well. I got to say that the cheesecake is really top notch, especially in fact despite the reviews, my first best there is the Tiramisu, followed by the 7th Avenue Cheesecake. Many said Yuri Matcha Cheesecake were great, but i guess its for the hardcore matcha lovers only as I felt that the matcha is too strong for it.
Opened everyday from 11AM to 11PM. Address is at LOT 10 Shopping Centre Level 4, 50, Jln Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is just a 5 minutes walk from my hotel at ParkRoyal Collections, KL.
Hence my ratings are as follows:
Tiramisu - 9/10
7th Avenue Cheesecake - 7/10
Yuri Matcha Cheesecake - 5/10
Ice-Cream - 6/10

Tong Shin Hokkien Mee - Best Hokkien Mee in KL
Need to take note of the timing that is opened only from 6PM to 11PM where everyone already started sitting to wait from 5PM. They are closed every tuesday. Address is at 1951, Tengkat Tong Shin, Bukit Bintang, 50200 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia which is either a 7 minutes drive or 14 minutes walk from my hotel at ParkRoyal Collections, KL.
As a hor fun fan since young, from the days where Hor Fun is $3 a big packet to now, costs $6 one smaller portion packet, hor fun in Singapore comes a long way but it is very costly. Quality also dropped over the years. So i had to order hor fun from a stall which is famous for its KL Hokkien Mee. My verdict for the hor fun is its deep taste and good wok hei in the gravy as well as the kuay tiao is good. I personally gave a high 9/10 for this hor fun. I don't really like KL Hokkien Mee, so not very good for me to comment, but my wife is a KL Mee Specialist. She gave a 8/10, is good but she said that the frozen prawn is a turn off. 😅 Yeah so overall, i think its worth to make your trip here, but bear in mind that it will be a long wait as many people tabao there and the seats were not very clean though. Overall price is RM32.00 for both dishes and two cups of herbal tea.
